SDK Engineer - Python

About the Team Our team brings OpenAI’s most capable technology to the world through our developer platform: the OpenAI API. As the leading AI development platform, our API is used by millions of developers and the majority of enterprises around the world, and powers the majority of AI applications that you may use on a daily basis. The platform supports everything from simple model calls to stateful, multimodal, tool-using applications through the Responses API, Agents SDK, Realtime API, and more. Our SDKs turn that fast-moving platform into reliable, idiomatic developer experiences across languages. About the Role We are looking for a software engineer to help build the official SDKs that power the OpenAI API. Currently offered in Python, Node.js, Golang, Java, and Ruby – our SDKs are some of the most popular in the world. You will help shape the developer experience for all new API features, as well as all future versions of our APIs. We’re looking for engineers who are deeply immersed in AI-native development: people who actively build with Codex and other coding agents, have developed agentic applications or developer tools, and bring strong, experience-backed opinions about OpenAI’s APIs. You’ll pair that firsthand product intuition with meticulous SDK design to improve how developers build with our platform. Prior experience building SDKs is lovely, but not absolutely necessary. In this role, you will: Define and implement the SDK experience for all new API features, as well as all future versions of our API. Build and experiment with agentic applications, developer tools, and coding-agent workflows using Codex and OpenAI’s APIs, translating firsthand experience into better SDK abstractions, API ergonomics, and developer experiences. Build and maintain our systems to make SDK maintenance and generation streamlined and automated. Contribute to our SDK strategy and roadmap, including which languages to support and what features to support. Collaborate closely w

Backend Engineer About LaunchDarkly Engineering LaunchDarkly helps engineering organizations ship software and AI with speed, safety, and control. Our platform gives teams the confidence to release gradually, target experiences to the right audiences, learn through experimentation, understand what is happening in production, and respond quickly when risk appears. Our engineers build the systems, services, SDKs, developer tools, cloud infrastructure, and product experiences that make this possible. The work spans high-scale distributed systems, reliable data and event pipelines, intuitive enterprise workflows, and AI-powered capabilities that help teams manage the next generation of software delivery. LaunchDarkly’s SDKs are used in systems that perform trillions of feature flag evaluations each day, giving our engineering work a direct connection to the reliability and customer experience of software around the world. As the company grows, we are expanding beyond traditional feature management into experimentation, observability, and AgentControl—helping customers control more of the software and AI lifecycle. That creates an unusually broad set of technical challenges, visible customer impact, and room for engineers to shape what comes next. We believe in the power of teams. We work with humility, openness, curiosity, and care; we value clear communication, thoughtful technical judgment, inclusive collaboration, and a strong sense of ownership. We encourage people to apply even when they do not meet every qualification listed below. We are interested in the experience, perspective, and potential you would bring to the role. About the role We have multiple backend engineering roles open on various teams. The specific level, scope, and technical focus will be aligned to the opportunity and the candidate’s experience. Experience with cloud platforms, distributed systems, developer tools, SDK engineering, data infrastructure, observability, or AI/agent systems may be r

About Sentry Software runs the world and the pace is faster than ever. Sentry helps developers fix errors and performance issues before users notice, so teams can spend less time firefighting and more time building. Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future. About the Role The Developer Infrastructure team builds the systems Sentry engineers use to develop, test, and ship software. We own local and cloud development environments, CI/CD across our open-source and private codebases, tooling for creating new services, and SDK and library publishing. Our goal is to help engineers spend more time building for customers and less time troubleshooting their development tools. You’ll work on problems such as shortening CI feedback cycles, improving deployment reliability, detecting flaky tests, and making development environments easier to use and maintain. As AI coding agents become part of engineering workflows, you’ll also help our environments, CI, and deployment systems support them with the context and access they need. You’ll own projects from design through rollout and ongoing operation, working directly with engineers across Sentry to understand their needs and measure whether your changes improve their work. This role is based in San Francisco, with three days per week in the office to work closely with Platform and Product Engineering teams. What You’ll Do Build and maintain tooling for local and cloud development environments. Improve the speed and reliability of CI and deployment pipelines as our codebases and infrastructure grow. Develop supported, reusable workflows for creating services and libraries. Improve SDK and library publishing tools and release processes. Build metrics, dashboards, and flaky test detection to help teams identify and resolve development and deployment problems. Give engineers and AI coding agents the context they need to work within Sentry’s syste
