You will work with our most strategic customers, understand their strategy and key challenges, and build Celonis solutions using cutting-edge AI technologies from market leaders such as Microsoft and OpenAI. With Celonis’ market-leading Process Intelligence (PI) Platform we feed operational context to AI so it understands our customers’ businesses and enables them to industrialize AI unlocking real ROI on AI deployments and at scale. There is no AI without PI. You will prototype these solutions, demonstrate their value to executives, and ensure successful implementation, adoption and value realization to increase Celonis' footprint at those customers. About the role As an Applied AI Engineer on our Enterprise team, your role is to guide some of Germany's largest businesses to the frontier of AI and help them deploy Claude into their operations, their products, and their ways of working. You will become the go-to Claude Platform specialist and trusted technical advisor for your customers, advising their engineering teams on architecture, agent design, and evaluation, and working with the C-level and senior executives who sponsor these programmes to show the business value Claude can create and help them reach a confident decision to build on Claude. Enterprise deals are different. Procurement cycles are longer, more stakeholders are involved, and success depends on being able to connect the technical work to the outcomes the boardroom cares about. You will be as comfortable advising an engineering team on evaluation and architecture as you are presenting a value case to a CIO or CTO, and you will carry the technical thread across every stage of a multi-quarter engagement. Much of this work happens in German, with German executives and engineering teams, so native or fluent German is essential for the role. The team brings together technical strategy, customer partnership, and practical deployment expertise, working closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Research, and specialist delivery teams. About the Role As an AI Architect, you will be the senior technical owner for a named portfolio of customers and the primary technical counterpart to their leadership teams. You will act as the “CTO of your book of business”, shaping each customer's AI strategy and guiding their journey from pre-sales discovery and solution evaluation through deployment, adoption, and measurable business impact. You will own the technical account plan across ChatGPT Enterprise, the OpenAI API, Codex, and other agentic AI solutions. In partnership with the Account Director, you will translate business priorities into a focused use-case portfolio, an actionable adoption roadmap, and a clear path to durable customer value and growth. The Account Director owns commercial strategy; you own the technical strategy, customer journey, and path to production value. About the Role As the Manager of Applied AI Architects in Munich, you will lead a team of senior technical leaders responsible for the technical strategy, customer journey, and path to production value for OpenAI's Digital Native customers across the DACH region. Your team will act as the “CTO of the book of business,” partnering with customer executives and technical teams from pre-sales discovery and solution evaluation through deployment, adoption, and measurable business impact. You will set the operating model for how Applied AI Architects own technical account plans across ChatGPT Enterprise, the OpenAI API, Codex, and other agentic AI solutions. In close partnership with Sales leadership and Account Directors, you will help prioritize customer portfolios, allocate technical resources, and ensure business priorities translate into focused use cases, credible architectures, actionable adoption roadmaps, and durable customer value and growth. You will remain accountable for the team's technical outcomes while developing its people and bringing in the right specialists across deployment, implementation, enablement, security, product, research, and partners.
