What you'll be doing: Prepare all US indirect tax filings including sales & use tax, gross receipts tax, personal property and Commercial Rent. Provide excellent service to multiple US companies. Ability to multitask and be involved in ad-hoc projects as needed. Work with local Finance teams to build Indirect Tax calendar of filings, get copies of prior year filings & workpapers and build a new database with logins and passwords. Responsible for monthly accruals and reconciliation of indirect tax accounts. Senior Accountant II Key Responsibilities Taxation & Compliance : Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns. Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants for audits and tax filing. Monitor changes in Indian tax laws and ensure the company's compliance with all statutory requirements. Audit & Internal Controls : Assist in preparing for internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to audit requirements. Review and strengthen internal controls, identifying areas for improvement to prevent financial discrepancies. Accounting & Financial Reporting : Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
