Senior Product Manager, Design Systems

At Datadog, we’re on a mission to build the best platform in the world for engineers to understand and scale their systems, applications, and teams. We operate at high scale, enabling seamless collaboration and problem-solving among Dev, Ops, and Security teams globally for tens of thousands of companies. Our engineering culture values pragmatism, honesty, and simplicity to solve hard problems the right way. The Observability Data Platform (ODP) is the backbone of everything Datadog delivers – powering how data is ingested, stored, routed, and surfaced across every product at planet scale. As a Senior Product Manager for ODP, you will work with world-class engineers and cross-functional partners to shape how the platform is deployed, controlled, and operated. You will define product direction across the control plane and data layer, translate complex infrastructure trade-offs into clear roadmap decisions, and help customers get the most from their observability investment – regardless of architecture, topology, or scale. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture – the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. What You Will Do: Develop a deep understanding of the Observability Data Platform customers – platform engineers, SREs, and product managers that own the product verticals – their infrastructure challenges, deployment topologies, and cost-to-serve trade-offs. Define product direction across multiple ODP surfaces, including the control plane and data layer, by articulating clear problem statements and desired outcomes, and partnering with engineering on technical approach and sequencing Lead conversations with design partners and strategic customers to understand real-world platform pain points, validate product assumptions, and guide solutions from early prototypes through General Availability Develop a co

Senior Product Manager - Search Datadog’s Search team helps users – both human and agents – find answers to their questions. Search is a critical function in Datadog, and touches many product surfaces: the query editors in product homepages and dashboards, search bars for finding relevant assets, the global cmd+k navigation search, and the MCP tools that our Bits AI agent uses to respond to natural language prompts. Search is a full-stack team: owning user-facing search components, backend search ranking systems, and machine learning models to produce recommendations. The Search team is relatively new, and still growing. We have recently built out agentic search tools, and we are looking for a leader to help us expand to ambitious orchestration systems that deliver accurate results, and proactive recommendations across both keyword and semantic search. Beyond this, you’ll have room to influence how Datadog thinks about Search as a strategic surface. What you’ll do: Define and deliver how Datadog's AI agents discover the right context and tools to answer natural-language questions accurately and at scale Stay on top of industry trends in UI and agentic search experiences and capabilities Collaborate with Applied AI teams to integrate ranking, personalization, and recommendation models that scale across both human and agentic users Define and monitor KPIs for search quality, adoption, and downstream impact on user productivity; use them to drive data-informed decision making Engage directly with customers and internal product teams to deeply understand search journeys across query editors, global navigation, and natural-language agent interfaces Who you are: You have experience with search, ranking, or recommendation systems You are familiar with or very interested in MCP servers and differences between human and agentic UX You have a sharp eye for design and strong opinions on the micro-interactions — keyboard navigation, autocomplete behavior, loading

You’ll be part of Vanta’s Automation group, which owns how customers discover and connect to other platforms through integrations, use that data to power product experiences and tests, drive customers toward compliance-related security outcomes, and ultimately generate the evidence required for audit. You will operate in a few different modes to build your roadmap, balancing direction from other product teams, customer input, and your own prioritization framework to make the right investments. Today, everyone from PMs to Sales to SREs uses AI to query their business data - but every answer is a one-off with no governance, no consistency, and no visibility for data teams. We're building the system that fixes this: a context layer that learns from existing data tools driving high quality and consistent answers, an AI-powered query experience, full governance for data teams, and rich analysis surfaces to present and share the results. You'd be building a zero to one product of what we believe will become a major new product line for Datadog.
