On-site | Vancouver Office – 564 Beatty St Here's Your Chance The dental industry a $40B global market spanning 28 countries still runs on disconnected systems, manual workflows, and decisions made without data. Most of it has never been touched by modern software engineering, let alone AI. EviSmart is the dental industry's Autopilot. We build the platform that automates the workflows consuming the industry's time and margin and we build it here, in Vancouver. If you want to architect systems that ship to real customers across North America, Europe, and beyond, and you're done with legacy tech and permission-seeking this is the role. Why EviSmart™ Exponential growing. 145% year-over-year SaaS growth. The market has validated what we're building. 28 countries. One platform. The dental industry's Autopilot built out of a 675 W Hastings office. Real AI stack. An in-house AI model R&D team building proprietary intelligence not wrappers. Outcome-driven culture. 50% of variable compensation tied to measurable technical outcomes. You own results, not tickets. Why Now The Customer Experience Platform is being built from the ground up. No legacy architecture to fight. No design-by-committee. The person who joins now will define the technical foundation and the standards everyone else builds on. We're at the stage where architectural decisions made this quarter will still be running three years from now. If you've ever wanted to be the person who sets the bar, this is that moment. From the CEO "I'm not looking for someone to execute a technical spec handed down from above. I need someone who looks at our system, sees what's wrong, and tells me directly then fixes it. If you've founded something, run an engineering team through growth and hard pivots, and you're ready to stop being the boss and start being the best engineer in the room, I want to talk." P-1440 Databricks is on a mission to simplify and democratize data and AI — from making the next mode of transportation a reality to accelerating the development of medical breakthroughs. We do this by building and running the world's best data and AI infrastructure platform so our customers can use deep data insights to improve their business. Founded by engineers — and customer obsessed — we leap at every opportunity to solve technical challenges, from designing next-gen UI/UX for interfacing with data to scaling our services and infrastructure across millions of virtual machines. And we're only getting started. Vancouver will be the newest R&D center for Databricks, expanding our presence in the Pacific Northwest. We are actively hiring world-class engineers to join us on our mission to democratize data + AI. We envision the Vancouver site becoming a key driver of product innovation at Databricks. To start, we’re bringing a few strategic areas to the Vancouver site and we have several open roles across the teams below, including: Log Analytics - Our customers increasingly use Databricks to analyze petabyte-scale logs in real time. This creates new challenges across the entire data processing pipeline, including ingestion, indexing, processing, and the user experience itself. AI/BI - AI/BI is redefining Business Intelligence for the AI age. We launched this product last summer and have already seen tremendous adoption (98.7% of our data warehousing customers are already using AI/BI!). From rich dashboarding and advanced visualizations to powerful talk-to-your-data solutions, the products we are building involve exciting technical challenges across the entire stack. Unity Catalog Business Semantics - Context is everything for AI. For enterprise data, that context needs to be governed and managed, which is what Unity Catalog Business Semantics offers. We recently launched our first Semantics modelling capability, Unity Catalog Metrics, this pas

Must be based in Vancouver The role We're hiring a dedicated data engineer to own the production data platform that our delivery, product, and engineering teams run on; designing integrated, governed data pipelines and delivering automated reporting, AI-assisted workflows, and predictive signals on top of them. You'll write production code, design systems, own CI/CD, and be accountable for the correctness of data that leaders make decisions on. What you'll do Design and operate our cloud data platform: ingestion, transformation, orchestration and serving. Integrate data from across the business (delivery tooling, CRM, product telemetry, finance, support and customer feedback systems) with shared identifiers, data contracts and lineage. Build automated and continuously refreshed reporting so teams manage by exception rather than chasing status. Connect approved AI agents to governed data with structured outputs, provenance, guardrails and human approval in the loop. Build feature pipelines and the MLOps controls behind predictive use cases: tests, versioning, promotion gates and drift monitoring. Own the engineering standards for data: testing, observability, environment promotion, PII classification and access control. What you'll bring Strong software engineering fundamentals: production-quality code, API and interface design, testing discipline, systems design. Real experience building and operating production data platforms on a cloud warehouse or lakehouse (Snowflake and AWS preferred) with dbt and a modern orchestrator. Practical AI tooling experience: something shipped, not prototyped. LLM-backed classification, extraction or structured-output pipelines; agent and tool-calling workflows; retrieval; evals.
