Senior Software Engineer - NYC metro

Become a part of our caring community The Senior Full Stack Engineer Performs software engineering activities in all layers of the stack, from setting up the database to programming in the back-end and the appearance at the front-end. The Senior Full Stack Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. As Centerwell builds its AI engineering function from the ground up, we need a platform foundation strong enough to support everything that comes next. As Lead Full-Stack Engineer focused on platform and API engineering, you will design and build the service layer that connects AI capabilities, data systems, and product frontends—setting the standards for how services are built, secured, and operated across the team. You will work with meaningful architectural scope, making decisions that span API design, security patterns, and deployment practices. The platform you build will serve care teams and patients across hundreds of Centerwell clinics. If you want to build platforms that others build on—and do it in service of better primary care—this is the role for you. Key Responsibilities Platform and API Architecture: ** Design and lead development of core backend services, REST and GraphQL APIs, and service-to-service integrations that connect all layers of Centerwell's AI product stack. Security and Compliance by Design: ** Establish patterns for authentication, authorization, rate limiting, PHI access control, and audit logging. Ensure HIPAA compliance is embedded in platform design from day one—not bolted on after the fact. AI and LLM Integration Patterns: ** Define and implement reusable patterns for integrating AI capabilities into product

About the Job: Software powers the world, and LaunchDarkly empowers teams to deliver and control it safely. As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Billing team, you will own the systems that turn every plan, price, entitlement, and usage limit into revenue — checkout, subscription and entitlement APIs, usage metering, and the integrations to our billing, CRM, and finance systems. When billing is wrong, customers get the wrong product and we invoice the wrong amount. Correctness here is a commitment to our customers, not a nice-to-have. You and your team will drive the modernization of our billing platform. Technologies include Go, TypeScript, Postgres, AWS, and Terraform. Exact tool match matters far less than deep backend judgment and a track record of safely changing systems that are not allowed to be wrong. Responsibilities: Design and build the systems that define our plans, pricing, entitlements, and limits, and expose them through our API. Decompose billing from our monolith into services that are correct, testable, and independently deployable. Own correctness end to end — usage metering, reconciliation, and the invoices and usage data customers see. Operate what you build: SLOs, alerting, on-call, and fixing root causes rather than repeating mitigations. Qualifications: 6+ years of professional software-engineering experience, with significant work on complex backend applications. Experience decomposing a monolith A track record on systems where correctness is non-negotiable, and the habits that come with it: idempotency, reconciliation, reversible migrations, and safe cutovers. Proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Rust, Python, etc.) and familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent), plus strong production ownership including on-call. Bonus Billing, payments, or metering systems, or usage-based pricing. Modeling entitlements, quotas, or multi-tenant limits. Pay: Target pay ranges based on Geographic Zones* for Level 4: Zone 1: San Fran

About the Job: Software powers the world, and LaunchDarkly empowers teams to deliver and control it safely. As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Identity & Access Management team, you will own the systems every customer touches before they touch anything else: SAML and OAuth2 single sign-on, SCIM user and team provisioning, login and session management, multi-factor authentication, and the API key and token infrastructure that authenticates every request to our platform. When authentication is wrong, customers cannot get in at all — or the wrong person gets in. Security and availability here are commitments to our customers, not nice-to-haves. You and your team will make this stack operable and enterprise-ready. Technologies include Go, TypeScript, CockroachDB, Redis, AWS, and Terraform. Exact tool match matters far less than deep backend judgment and a track record of safely changing systems that are not allowed to be wrong. Responsibilities: Own LaunchDarkly’s authentication surface end to end — single sign-on, SCIM provisioning, login and session flows, multi-factor authentication, and API key and token authentication. Build the enterprise identity capabilities our largest customers require: additional identity-provider integrations, support for multiple IdPs per account, and MFA enforcement by default. Make the stack operable: SLOs, monitoring for certificate expiry and provisioning failures, actionable alerting, runbooks, and a sustainable on-call. Partner with Product Security on threat modeling, audit logging, and compliance requirements including SOC 2 and FedRAMP. Set the technical direction for identity at LaunchDarkly, and raise the bar for the engineers around you through design review and mentorship. Qualifications: 6+ years of professional software-engineering experience, with significant work on complex backend applications. Experience building or operating production authentication and identity systems. A track record on systems where correctness

About the Job: LaunchDarkly is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Engineer to join our Experimentation team! You’ll collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of backend, frontend, and full-stack engineers, along with product managers, data scientists, and designers, to help build an experimentation platform that balances power and accessibility. In this role, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, performant services using Go and RESTful APIs, and user experiences built with React and TypeScript. You’ll have opportunities to take ownership of projects, grow your technical expertise, and help improve the quality and reliability of our systems. We’re focused on building a best-in-class experimentation platform that enables customers to run impactful, data-driven experiments with ease and confidence, and we’re actively growing the team to deliver on this vision. We are committed to delivering a leading experimentation platform that empowers our customers to run tests and data-driven experiments seamlessly and at scale. We have a robust product roadmap, and we are actively expanding our teams to execute on it. Responsibilities: Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and performant solutions for experimentation and data-driven products, with attention to usability and maintainability. Collaborate with senior engineers on architectural decisions that impact system scalability and performance. Lead limited scope features from definition to deployment Help identify and troubleshoot performance issues and participate in efforts to optimize service reliability. Work closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and designers to implement new features and iterate on existing functionality. About the Job: LaunchDarkly is looking for a Senior Developer Advocate based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The developer community is deciding right now what the AI era of software looks like, and much of that conversation happens in person: meetups, demo nights, hackathons, and hallway conversations across the city. You'll own our Bay Area presence: which rooms we're in, how often we're there, and what we do with what we learn. That means being in those rooms consistently, as a genuine participant: building long-term relationships with the practitioners shaping how agentic software gets built, bringing their signal back to LaunchDarkly, and showing them, credibly and only when it's relevant, how runtime control changes what they can ship. It's a role for someone who would be going to these events anyway. Responsibilities: Show up consistently : attend Bay Area developer events several times a week (meetups, demo nights, hackathons, conferences), building real relationships with AI and platform engineers over months, not transactions over days Listen more than you talk : bring back structured signal on what practitioners are building, where they're stuck, and how they talk about agents, releases, and runtime control Demonstrate, don't pitch : build and show small, credible demos on AgentControl and the LaunchDarkly platform, and hold your own when the technical questions get hard Add to the conversation : write event recaps and practitioner-grade content that people in the community actually want to read, rather than broadcasting at them Earn the right to convene : over time, organize gatherings around problems developers actually have, not around LaunchDarkly as a brand Feed the team : route relationships, signal, and opportunities to the owners who can act on them, with enough context attached to act What Success Looks Like: LaunchDarkly has a consistent, welcome presence in the rooms where the AI developer conversation is happening, and you decided which rooms t
