Join us in building the future of finance. Our mission is to democratize finance for all. An estimated $124 trillion of assets will be inherited by younger generations in the next two decades. The largest transfer of wealth in human history. If you’re ready to be at the epicenter of this historic cultural and financial shift, keep reading. About the team + role We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards. The Storage Platform team builds and operates the platform that powers database access across Robinhood. We own relational (Postgres/Aurora), key-value (DynamoDB), and caching systems, along with the SDKs, control plane automation, and data plane services that enable safe and reliable access at scale. Our mission is to standardize and strengthen how services connect to storage, improve reliability and performance, and reduce operational overhead through automation. We manage thousands of databases and hundreds of caching clusters supporting millions of users and critical brokerage workloads. Availability is our highest priority — our systems are designed to meet strict uptime targets, including no downtime during market hours. As a Senior Software Engineer , you will build and improve core infrastructure used by many engineering teams, with a focus on reliability, performance, and operational excellence. You’ll deliver key components of data plane and control plane systems (for example: connection pooling, query routing, automation workflows, and observability) and help evolve patterns for safe, consistent database access. You’ll work closely with peers to design pragmatic s

Roblox’s database team develops the next-generation, multi-tenant database platform that elastically scales and underpins every online data workload at Roblox. As a senior engineer on the database team, you will shape the architecture, build and launch critical database capabilities that keep our services fast, reliable and efficient at global scale. You will report to the Technical Director for Storage. You will: Design and implement new engine features —indexing, storage formats, WAL and replication protocols, sharding, and query-planner enhancements—that push latency, throughput, and availability boundaries. Evolve the control plane to deliver elastic scaling, autonomous healing, and zero-downtime schema or tenant moves across global regions. Profile and optimize critical code paths using kernel-level tracing and advanced performance tooling; drive systematic tail-latency reductions. Establish engineering best practices by leading design reviews, performance benchmarks, failure drills, and post-incident retrospectives. Automate everything : develop frameworks for testing, CI/CD, rollout safety, observability, and autoscaling so that the platform operates hands-off at sc

Join Cluster Scalability, one of MongoDB's Online Transaction Processing teams, and help build the core infrastructure that makes MongoDB a world-class distributed database. The team builds the infrastructure and tools that let customers scale their workloads past what a single node can handle. We take pride in building clean abstractions over hard distributed systems problems, so users can focus on their data instead of worrying about where it lives or how it's accessed. Our work has a big impact: it solves the hardest data challenges faced by MongoDB's largest customers. As a Senior Software Engineer on Cluster Scalability, you'll work on data partitioning, one of the hardest and most impactful problem areas at MongoDB today. You'll collaboratively design and build the distributed machinery that turns independent query-processing and storage nodes into a single, unified database system. Your team’s work will be to build the data-movement and dynamic-scaling features that run on top of it. Current work includes seamless horizontal scaling with minimal tradeoffs, better cluster elasticity and smarter workload execution. You'll solve complex performance problems and design protocols for moving and placing data without disruption. Your work will help the architecture scale reliably to meet customer demand at any volume. Our team champions a strong culture of inclusivity, diversity, and collaboration. If you want to work on a collaborative team that applies distributed systems fundamentals to deliver core features of a popular database, join us! Let’s change what’s possible for application developers, system architects, and database operators. This role can be based remotely in the United States. Candidate Profile 5+ years of experience building distributed systems Experience with building production-level code with a large user base, robust design structure and rigorous code quality, written in C++. Degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent practical

About Sentry Software runs the world and the pace is faster than ever. Sentry helps developers fix errors and performance issues before users notice, so teams can spend less time firefighting and more time building. Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future. About the role The Events Analytics Platform (EAP) team is responsible for the infrastructure that powers all of Sentry's time-series data and searching capabilities across billions of events with sub-second latency. We started this initiative by building Snuba, the primary storage and query service for Sentry's event data powered by ClickHouse, and we are now focused on unlocking deeper visibility and reporting across the terabytes of event data our users generate. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead efforts to push the boundaries of data visibility at Sentry. You will do this by expanding the capabilities of our search infrastructure, building new capabilities on top of our state-of-the-art storage layer and increasing the performance and integrity of Sentry’s core data services. You will also help shape Infrastructure's technical direction at Sentry and collaborate with Product and other Engineering teams to turn that vision into a reality. If you want to solve the hard problems that come with scaling event data into the petabyte range, this could be the job for you. In this role you will: Expand EAP's ability to deliver data at world-class speed and reliability. Architect and automate services and systems to scale reliably under growing demand. Make architectural trade-offs that balance product requirements with engineering constraints. Maintain and grow the team's code quality initiatives by regularly reviewing code and contributing to design decisions. Lead design and discussions around deliverables the team is working towards. Improve the maintainability and developer experience of the codebases EAP owns. Exa
