Responsibilities Lead the Sensor Change Playbook workflow, defining the validation process for our next-generation, low-cost vehicle platforms. Partner with PCP V&V to define the Autonomy Technical Specification (ATS) by identifying "bounding" (worst-case) scenarios, particularly those related to winter driving (e.g., heavy snow, ice, sensor occlusion). Work with PCP model owners to architect low-cost stacks that reduce reliance on expensive sensors and accommodate reduced compute (e.g., migrating from 8 GPUs to 1 Thor). Drive the Clearance MoC (Method of Compliance) process for hardware changes, balancing cost, compute constraints, performance and safety. Qualifications Deep expertise in the PCP Stack , multi-modality fusion, and optimizing architectures for severely constrained compute budgets. Experience in V&V (Validation & Verification) for safety-critical systems, specifically expanding into complex Operational Design Domains (ODDs) like winter weather. Zoox is looking for an experienced software engineer to work on large-scale simulation pipelines used to validate the behavior of the Zoox self-driving vehicle. These are data and GPU intensive workloads built on Ray.io and Kubernetes. Given the massive scale and criticality of these pipelines, ensuring their reliability and efficiency has a significant impact on the company's ability to safely and quickly iterate on autonomy development. We are a small, scrappy team within the larger Autonomy organization. Although this role primarily involves off-vehicle pipelines, you will work closely with engineers developing the on-vehicle algorithms and models in our autonomy stack. We stay close to the end users - autonomy engineers - and think about the end to end use case for these validation pipelines. This is a hands-on role with a high degree of independence and ownership. You will be expected to contribute towards the framework’s architecture, reliability, efficiency, and grow its capabilities to support new use cases. You should have a track record of keeping production systems running with high availability. As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the full project life-cycle of design and construction for Zoox’s various real estate assets. Our capital projects include a wide variety of typologies- from office and amenities to engineering/R&D, manufacturing, testing/proving grounds, fleet operations, fleet charging and fleet service sites. Project sizes, complexity and budgets will vary from $50K to $30M+. You will own project delivery beginning with pre-lease site due diligence and project planning all the way through project occupancy and close out. The c candidate will need to know all aspects of project delivery- including fiscal and schedule, design, construction and delivery. In this role, you will: Responsible for leading multiple capital construction projects of various complexity from initiation through close-out, owning the entire project lifecycle from pre-design through commissioning. Provide critical financial and schedule management, including creating and monitoring control systems for cost estimates, budgets, value engineering, schedules, and change orders, and reviewing/approving all architect, engineer, contractor, and vendor invoices. Partner with internal cross-functional teams to develop project programs, masterplan campus/city level projects, and collaborate with real estate teams on due diligence and lease negotiations. As a Staff Technical Program Manager for Powertrain and Thermal, you will serve as the Program Lead for our Powertrain & Thermal team. You will provide the overarching technical direction and leadership required to guide the vehicle program from concept through production across Powertrain and Thermal domains.
