ABOUT THE ROLE: As a Data Engineer in X product engineering team, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive data solutions that own or serve a wide range of stakeholders, including our end-users and internal teams such as Product engineering, Algorithm, Legal, Finance and Sales. Our work utilizes AI, distributed computing and hybrid storage technologies, but extends beyond purely data-centric solutions, encompassing non-data-related challenges, ultimately maximizing the potential of data for the benefit of our diverse user base. RESPONSIBILITIES: You'll help build and operate a distributed data platform that powers hundreds of realtime and batch pipelines processing billions of events per day. The team runs like an internal startup — we own problems end to end, from raw event streams to the datasets, tooling, and metrics that product, growth, safety, and business teams depend on daily. About the Team & Role The Platform Security Engineering team builds the security features and frameworks that every Rubrik product runs on protecting hundreds of petabytes of data across thousands of enterprise customers globally , from encryption and certificate management to access control and platform hardening at scale. We're a small team with massive impact: the problem space covers the entire Rubrik portfolio, from performant core backend architecture to the AI-powered engineering workflows we and the rest of Rubrik now build with daily. This is a strong opportunity for new grads and early-career engineers who want real ownership on security-critical systems. You'll help solve problems like: How do we roll out post-quantum cryptography across the backup data path before it's an industry requirement? How do we let customers manage sessions and access against compromise, at enterprise scale?
