Software Engineer, eve

About the Team The Storage organization builds and operates the online stateful systems and abstractions that DoorDash Engineering depends on: reliable, efficient, secure, and easy to use. Within Storage, the Event Streaming Systems team owns the event streaming platform that powers business-critical, event-driven workflows across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo, including Kafka, our event streaming abstraction layer (internally called Event Bus), and the next generation of streaming platform technologies. These systems sit on the Tier-0 critical path. They move trillions of events per day across multiple regions and underpin how hundreds of engineering teams build reliable, event-driven products at massive scale. About the Role We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to set the technical direction for our event streaming platform and lead its evolution over the next several years. This is a senior individual-contributor role: you'll operate as a force multiplier across teams, owning the hardest architectural problems, driving org-wide technical strategy, and raising the engineering bar for everyone who builds on and operates streaming infrastructure. You'll go deep on the internals of modern streaming systems, from the Kafka protocol and storage engine to object-store-backed, diskless architectures like WarpStream and AutoMQ. You'll make the high-leverage bets that determine how DoorDash streams data for years to come, on a platform that serves hundreds of engineering teams and trillions of events per day. You must be located in the New York Metro Area for this hybrid position. You will report to the Engineering Manager on our Event Streaming Systems team within the Storage organization. You're excited about this opportunity because you will… Set the multi-year technical vision and architecture for DoorDash's event streaming platform, and drive alignment in that direction across Storage, SRE, Data Platform, and Product Engineering. About Sentry Software runs the world and the pace is faster than ever. Sentry helps developers fix errors and performance issues before users notice, so teams can spend less time firefighting and more time building. Trusted by 200,000+ organizations, Sentry is today’s application monitoring standard and our team is building its AI-native future. About the role The Events Analytics Platform (EAP) team is responsible for the infrastructure that powers all of Sentry's time-series data and searching capabilities across billions of events with sub-second latency. We started this initiative by building Snuba, the primary storage and query service for Sentry's event data powered by ClickHouse, and we are now focused on unlocking deeper visibility and reporting across the terabytes of event data our users generate. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead efforts to push the boundaries of data visibility at Sentry. You will do this by expanding the capabilities of our search infrastructure, building new capabilities on top of our state-of-the-art storage layer and increasing the performance and integrity of Sentry’s core data services. You will also help shape Infrastructure's technical direction at Sentry and collaborate with Product and other Engineering teams to turn that vision into a reality. If you want to solve the hard problems that come with scaling event data into the petabyte range, this could be the job for you. In this role you will: Expand EAP's ability to deliver data at world-class speed and reliability. Architect and automate services and systems to scale reliably under growing demand. Make architectural trade-offs that balance product requirements with engineering constraints. Maintain and grow the team's code quality initiatives by regularly reviewing code and contributing to design decisions. Lead design and discussions around deliverables the team is working towards. Improve the maintainability and developer experience of the codebases EAP owns. Exa

Everpure (NYSE: P) has evolved from storage pioneer to data platform, closing fiscal 2026 with $3.7 billion in revenue, its first billion-dollar quarter, and accelerating growth into FY27. Our strategic agenda spans the companies defining the next era of technology - hyperscalers, AI labs, the AI hardware supply chain, data platform providers, and the broader AI ecosystem. This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us. THE ROLE Everpure Cloud Azure Native is already live and generally available—we’ve shipped the first version of the service, and we’re now focused on making it better every quarter: expanding use cases, entering new markets, and raising the bar on reliability and developer experience. Our Foundation team owns a Go‑based control‑plane service that orchestrates how customers consume enterprise‑grade block storage natively in Azure. Around it, we work with a modern cloud stack including Temporal and other platform services for workflows, automation, and observability. This is a production cloud service, not an internal tool: the code you write directly shapes how customers deploy, scale, and operate storage in their Azure environments. This is a rare opportunity to work on a core storage service in a major public cloud , in a joint effort between Everpure and Microsoft. You’ll design and evolve APIs and service behavior that sit in the critical path of real workloads, collaborating closely with engineers across both companies. We move fast without breaking customers: clear API contracts, long‑lived interfaces, solid test automation, and CI/CD are part of the job, not side projects. If you want to own services end‑to‑end, solve real distributed systems problems in the public cloud, and see your work reflected directly in how Azure customers use storage, this is the place to do it. This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us. THE ROLE This role is for an individual contributor joining one of our five Everpure Resilience engineering teams within the Data & Digital Experience (DDX) organization. The product has been running for 3 years and operates like a startup within DDX. The teams are primarily composed of senior-level engineers who take full ownership of their workstreams - from early requirements definition (in close collaboration with Product Managers) to final delivery. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as engineers work autonomously in a highly cross-functional environment. WHAT YOU'LL DO Architect & Deliver: Own the end-to-end design, development, and operation of high-throughput data processing services between edge devices and the Everpure cloud platform. Product Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers to translate complex requirements into scalable, resilient system architecture from concept to production. Performance & Scale: Drive continuous system improvements—experimenting with new tech to boost performance, security, and cost-efficiency for real-time data flows. Ship Fast & Safely: Utilize pragmatic testing, robust CI/CD, and automation to maintain high deployment velocity without sacrificing stability. System Integration: Lead the resolution of complex interoperability challenges between new and legacy components to ensure high availability across all regions. WHAT YOU BRING Distr

THE ROLE Everpure is building a unified, AI-first platform that turns a fleet of storage systems into something that manages itself - giving customers one place to see their whole estate, understand issues before they have an impact, and let the system fix them. Our team in Prague owns core backend services for that platform. The centerpiece of the architecture is the policy engine - the declarative, intent-based component that holds the desired state of a customer's environment, evaluates live telemetry against it, and produces the violations that everything downstream acts on.
