We support Marketing, Sales, Seller, Accounting, Tax, Finance and Strategy (F&S), Finance Operations (FinOps), and Treasury functions across automation, data insights, and process improvements. You may work on a wide variety of critical business areas including Seller Systems — Responsible for building the systems and tooling that make sellers and internal revenue teams at Stripe dramatically more productive and effective. We partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product to deliver a single "plane of glass" selling experience that spans deal creation and modeling, negotiation and approvals, contracting, onboarding, and activation. The Seller Systems team composes first‑party, custom Stripe components with best‑in‑class third‑party business systems to deliver configurable, auditable, and globally scalable workflows. Engineers on Seller Systems build services, APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and internal UIs that power seller productivity, reduce time‑to‑activation, improve deal velocity, and enable AI‑driven assistive workflows. Use cases include deal modeling and pricing engines, approval and orchestration platforms, CLM/CPQ integrations, onboarding automation, seller analytics, and AI‑assisted seller tooling. About the Team The Core Change Management group is responsible for the systems that let every Stripe engineer ship code, configuration, and infrastructure changes safely and at high velocity. You will be embedded primarily on the Service Deployments team — the owners of Stripe's end-to-end code deployment platform — with regular collaboration with the Resource Automation and Feature Deployments teams. What Makes This Role Compelling You own the foundation of how Stripe ships software. The deployment platform sits in the critical path of every engineer's workflow at Stripe. The decisions you make affect thousands of deploys per day across hundreds of services, directly determining how fast and safely Stripe's product evolves. Technically rich, architecturally active. The team is executing several concurrent platform transformations: containerizing host-based services at scale, adding intelligent multi-service deploy pipelines, extending real-time anomaly detection to earlier stages of traffic shifts, and rebuilding deployment event infrastructure on top of a durable message bus. This is not maintenance work — the architecture is in motion. Broad surface area, real ownership. You will span the full stack from container scheduling and deployment orchestration business logic to the developer-facing internal platform UI. The problems are multi-layered: reliability, developer experience, performance, and safety all at once. Your judgment prevents incidents.

Financial Crimes Engineering builds the systems and controls that let Stripe safely onboard businesses in emerging and regulated industries while keeping Stripe in compliance with sanctions law, anti-money-laundering rules, and financial partner requirements. We keep known bad actors off Stripe, find new through ongoing detection, and build AI-augmented tooling that helps expert reviewers resolve cases quickly and accurately. We operate at scale, screening every user, enforcing jurisdictional restrictions across money movement in real time, and automating signal acquisition and synthesis into investigation workflows. We're now re-architecting our screening platform to make it safe and easy for new Stripe products to launch with the right financial crimes controls, to express richer policy as code, and to serve as a multi-tenant Risk Platform offering across Stripe's products and subsidiaries. What you'll do As a Staff Engineer on Financial Crimes Engineering, you'll own technical direction across our screening, detection, and review systems. You'll design infrastructure that balances screening latency with accuracy, build the systems that surface emerging risk and collect information to resolve it, and ensure investigators have the tooling they need.
