As a Software Engineer on the Engine Systems team, you will help build the core diagnostic instrumentation for Roblox’s engine. In this role, support and build the systems that allow us to monitor and analyze Roblox from the hardware level all the way up to end user experience to improve Roblox for our millions of concurrent users. You will contribute to platform-level systems that help Roblox understand hangs, crashes, performance regressions, and session health across our supported clients. This work requires navigating hardware and vendor-specific limitations across devices, while building reliable systems that help engineering teams safely ship weekly binary updates to Roblox at global scale. You Will Build and maintain components of the (predominantly C++) systems that report stability, reliability, and performance signals across Roblox clients, working from defined designs and contributing to technical decisions within your area. Write well-instrumented, production-quality code across supported platforms, including mobile, desktop, and major consoles, with guidance on complex systems-level work.
