Staff Android Engineer - Rider Experience & Mobile Platform

About the Team At DoorDash, design means making experiences for the people who order, the people who prepare, and the people who deliver. As a Designer at DoorDash, you want to build things that matter to real people. You're at your best when you can move from idea to shipped product quickly, bringing experiences to life that reach and influence users at massive scale. You'll care about whether the product you make solved a real problem for real people, or changed how someone experiences their day. About the Role In this role, you’ll join the Core Dasher team within our Dasher organization, focused on one of DoorDash’s highest-priority challenges: growing and retaining Dasher supply. The team works across Growth and Financial Products to identify new ways to create value for Dashers, including exploring how Crimson, financial incentives, and financial wellness offerings can become meaningful growth levers. You’ll help lead 0→1 opportunities from strategy through launch, partnering across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, and Finance to build experiences that can scale across the U.S. and international markets. You will report to the Head of the Core Dasher team within our Dasher organization. We operate in a hybrid model, with 1–2 days per week in one of our Design Hubs in San Francisco or New York City. You’re excited about this opportunity because you will… Define projects with a clear point of view on what to build, writing briefs that synthesize business and customer inputs into roadmap milestones; balance customer needs, business goals, and feasibility to shape what your team builds and why Bring clarity to ambiguous, cross-team problems and turn them into actionable work that ships; drive prioritization across your team and adjacent teams, making tradeoffs between design quality, speed, and impact so the highest-leverage work moves first Shape key projects from concept through execution — staying close enough to resolve issues during iteration, gu

You'll care about whether the product you make solved a real problem for real people, or changed how someone experiences their day. About the Role At DoorDash, we’re redefining what it means to be a designer. We’re building a team of makers, builders, and doers. Over the past decade, “web designer” evolved into “product designer” as the scope expanded. Now, that shift is happening again — LLMs are broadening the role further, pushing design toward both strategic thinking and direct execution. As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll help lead this evolution: not only practicing build-first design, but scaling it across people, processes, and systems. In this role, you’ll join the Ads & Promos Design team — one of DoorDash’s fastest-growing businesses — owning end-to-end campaign experience design and shaping the strategic vision for our marketing tooling system. This platform powers both SMB and enterprise restaurants across DoorDash’s global markets and connects local businesses with over 40 million consumers globally. Your impact will span both team effectiveness and business growth. You’ll increase team velocity and autonomy by building reusable workflows, shared tools, and decision frameworks that enable designers to operate at a higher level with less coordination overhead. In parallel, you’ll drive measurable business outcomes by unlocking faster experimentation, shorter iteration cycles, and higher-quality execution across your team and adjacent teams. This role can be based in New York City, San Francisco, or Seattle and reports to the Design Manager for Ads & Promotions (Restaurant Experie

Role Overview We are seeking a Staff Simulation Engineer to build an end-to-end aerial autonomy simulation stack at DoorDash Labs. This is a highly technical, hands-on leadership role focused on defining and implementing the simulation architecture that underpins autonomy development, validation, CI/CD testing, and pilot training. You will operate as the technical authority for simulation: owning core architecture decisions, developing key components yourself, and setting engineering standards. You will build and mentor a small, high-caliber simulation team while remaining deeply involved in implementation and system design. This role is ideal for someone who has built simulation systems from first principles, understands simulator internals deeply, and is excited to create a world-class platform from scratch. Key Responsibilities Architect and implement an end-to-end simulation stack for aerial autonomy at DoorDash Labs.. Develop high-fidelity simulation capabilities, including: Flight dynamics modeling Contact modeling and constraint handling Sensor and perception simulation Autonomy software-in-the-loop (SITL) integration Design and implement scalable simulation infrastructure to support: Regression testing in CI/CD pipelines Continuous validation of flight autonomy and autopilot software stack Mission-level testing and scenario generation Build cloud-deployed simulation systems to enable large-scale parallel testing and pilot training. Partner closely with autonomy, controls, and aircraft teams to ensure simulation fidelity and validation alignment. Establish technical direction, architecture standards, and performance benchmarks for simulation. Mentor and grow a small team of simulation engineers while remaining deeply hands-on. Required Qualifications Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in robotics or physics-based simulation. About Scale AI At Scale, our mission is to develop reliable AI systems for the world's most important decisions. Our products provide the high-quality data and full-stack technologies that power the world's leading models, and help enterprises and governments build, deploy, and oversee AI applications that deliver real impact. Scale Frontier Data is the organization behind the training and evaluation data that frontier labs depend on. We build the systems, tooling, and expert workflows that turn hard human expertise into signals that models can learn from, across reasoning, coding, agentic tool use, and domain expertise. Reinforcement learning environments are now the center of gravity for that work: the difference between a model that demos well and a model that reliably completes long-horizon work is almost always the quality of the environments and reward signals it was trained against. Responsibilities As a Staff Software Engineer, RL Environments, you'll own the technical foundation for how Scale builds, runs, verifies, and delivers RL environments at scale. An RL environment is a real piece of software: a containerized world with real dependencies, real state, real tools, and a grader that has to be correct even when the agent is creative about breaking it. Building one is a full-stack engineering problem. Building thousands of them reproducibly, cheaply, with trustworthy reward signals and throughput measured in millions of rollouts is a systems problem that very few people have solved. You'll work on both. You'll design the platform: sandboxed execution, environment packaging and versioning, rollout orchestration, trajectory capture, verifier frameworks, and the authoring surfaces that let engineers and domain experts produce environments without reinventing infrastructure each time. And you'll go deep on the environments themselves by instrumenting real applications, designing task suites that expose specific capability gaps, and building graders that

Software is eating the world, but AI is eating software. We live in unprecedented times – AI has the potential to exponentially augment human intelligence. Every person will have a personal tutor, coach, assistant, personal shopper, travel guide, and therapist throughout life. As the world adjusts to this new reality, leading platform companies are scrambling to build LLMs at billion scale, while large enterprises figure out how to add it to their products. To make them safe, aligned and actually useful, these models need human evaluation and reinforcement learning through human feedback (RLHF) during pre-training, fine-tuning, and production evaluations. This is the main innovation that’s enabled ChatGPT to get such a large headstart among competition. At Scale, our products include the Generative AI Data Engine, SGP, Donovan, and others that power the most advanced LLMs and generative models in the world through world-class RLHF, human data generation, model evaluation, safety, and alignment. The data we are producing is some of the most important work for how humanity will interact with AI. At the foundation of these products is the Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of core data storage, streaming, caching, and indexing platforms and underlying systems. You’ll also get widespread exposure to the forefront of the AI race as Scale sees it in enterprises, startups, governments, and large tech companies. You will: Drive the architecture, design, implementation, and reliability of our foundational data platforms and systems, working closely with stakeholders and internal customers to understand and refine requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features. Proactively identify opportunities for, and driving improvements to, current programming practices, including process enhancements and tool upgrades. Present technical information to teams and stakeholders, providing
