Job Overview: Graphcore is seeking a Senior Engineer, Power Engineering to aid in design, test, and development of the power delivery components from grid to chip. You will work closely with multiple cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, firmware developers, and data center operations, to ensure the infrastructure we build meets customer requirements as well as attaining standards of performance, reliability, and scalability. This role will be hybrid-remote, based in Milpitas, CA and will involve a significant in-laboratory component along with some work-from-home. Responsibilities: Contribute to the design and specification of the components and systems in the grid-to-chip power chain. Build out the test environment and perform engineering test and validation of the grid-to-chip chain. Design test hardware including the overall test environment, test fixtures, loads, and other devices to simulate various loading conditions and to evaluate the performance of the power chain. Testing includes basic function testing, robustness and reliability testing, high-power cycle testing, high-bandwidth power testing, energy storage testing, and numerous other types of tests involved in AI power system validation. About the role We are looking for a collaborative Staff Technical Program Manager, Engineering Onboarding to build an AI-first onboarding experience that helps new engineers become confident, effective builders. You will create the technical learning, practical support, and community that enable engineers to understand Affirm’s systems, ship, and grow their impact. What you’ll do You will own the design and delivery of Engineering onboarding, creating a welcoming, technically credible experience for new engineers across North America and EMEA. You will lead hands-on learning experiences at our San Francisco office, complemented by virtual and regional programming that helps engineers build relationships, context, and practical fluency. You will partner with Engineering leaders and subject-matter experts across Developer Productivity, SRE, Security, Architecture, and Product teams to build and maintain useful technical onboarding content. You will translate Affirm’s AI-first engineering practices into practical learning experiences, including agent-assisted development, code review, testing, CI, deployment, observability, and production support. You will work with managers and buddies to create clear, role-relevant onboarding plans that help new engineers establish context, connect with their teams, and begin contributing effectively.
