Reddit is a community of communities. It’s built on shared interests, passion, and trust, and is home to the most open and authentic conversations on the internet. Every day, Reddit users submit, vote, and comment on the topics they care most about. With 100,000+ active communities and approximately 130 million daily active unique visitors, Reddit is one of the internet’s largest sources of information. For more information, visit www.redditinc.com . Reddit is where 130M+ people a day come to share what they know, ask what they don't, and find their people. Every post, comment, and new format starts with our composers. We're looking for a Senior Staff engineer to be the technical anchor for how people create on Reddit across Web, iOS, and Android. You'll own the cross-client vision for contribution. Every bet has to earn its way through an experiment, so you'll pair architectural judgment with real rigor about what moves the metrics. This is an IC leadership role, partnering directly with Product, Design, and Data Science leadership. Key Responsibilities: Own the cross-client architecture: Define the shared contracts that Web, iOS, and Android build against, including our rich content model, GraphQL schemas, and shared UI primitives. A feature should be designed once and shipped natively everywhere, not built three bespoke ways. Make video and media first-class: Set the client architecture for video creation, editing, drafts, and upload, built to survive bad networks, app restarts, and lower-end devices. Bring new formats to every user: Establish how
