Overview We’re hiring a Staff Software Engineer to help build and scale the technology at the heart of Breeze’s payments platform. You’ll take on some of our most complex engineering challenges, building secure, reliable systems that move money while helping shape what we build and how we build it. You’ll work across the stack, own critical systems end to end, and partner closely with Product and Design to turn complex payments problems into simple, scalable solutions. This is a hands-on Staff role with real ownership and technical influence. You’ll lead the frontend architecture and evolution of our checkout experience, building payment flows that need to be fast, seamless, resilient, and built to convert. We are hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Risk! As our Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Risk, you'll lead the evolution of our ML platform for payment risk, building the production-grade capabilities behind feature engineering, model training, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. Staff Java Engineer - Merchant Fraud Prevention As a Staff Software Engineer in the Merchant Fraud Prevention group, you will serve as the core architect and strategic engineering partner for our fraud detection and mitigation ecosystems. Financial Crimes Engineering builds the systems and controls that let Stripe safely onboard businesses in emerging and regulated industries while keeping Stripe in compliance with sanctions law, anti-money-laundering rules, and financial partner requirements. We keep known bad actors off Stripe, find new through ongoing detection, and build AI-augmented tooling that helps expert reviewers resolve cases quickly and accurately. We operate at scale, screening every user, enforcing jurisdictional restrictions across money movement in real time, and automating signal acquisition and synthesis into investigation workflows. What you'll do As a Staff Engineer on Financial Crimes Engineering, you'll own technical direction across our screening, detection, and review systems. You'll design infrastructure that balances screening latency with accuracy, build the systems that surface emerging risk and collect information to resolve it, and ensure investigators have the tooling they need.

About the Role We are a small team of AI builders in Paytm Labs. As a Staff AI Platform Engineer, you will work across inference and agentic systems. You will contribute to Paytm's AI inference platform (Pi), serving internal teams and enterprise customers - running our own coding and domain-specific models (voice, vision, risk, fintech workflows) as well as third-party models. You will also architect and build the platform that enables autonomous AI agents to operate safely and reliably in production - the runtime, orchestration, and developer tooling for agents to reason, plan, use tools, and execute complex multi-step workflows, automating both software development and business processes. You will work at the intersection of LLMs, distributed systems, and production fintech infrastructure, helping define how inference and agentic AI are built and deployed across payments, risk, fraud, collections, support, and developer experience. What You'll Do Inference & Model Serving Build and operate multi-model serving across modalities (text, voice, code, vision) on shared infrastructure Own the model lifecycle: download, deploy, serve, monitor, update, swap Drive inference optimization: latency, throughput, cost - including quantization, batching, caching, and routing strategies Ensure inference is fast and reliable for the agents and systems that depend on it Agentic Systems Architect and build the Agentic AI Platform - runtime infrastructure, orchestration systems, and developer tooling for autonomous agents Design multi-agent coordination systems enabling agents to collaborate and solve complex workflows Build robust tool-use infrastructure that allows agents to interact with APIs, databases, and services safely Implement workflow automation: agents that execute multi-step business and engineering tasks with appropriate guardrails Build safety and gu
