About the team The OpenAI for Government team is a mission-driven group bringing frontier AI to the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) and broader national security enterprise. We partner with intelligence professionals to deploy secure, compliant AI capabilities—including ChatGPT Enterprise, ChatGPT Gov, and the OpenAI API—in mission-aligned environments that meet rigorous security, privacy, reliability, and responsible-AI requirements. As part of the OpenAI for Government team, you will work across IC elements and mission partners—including ODNI, CIA, NSA, DIA, NGA, NRO, and other federal intelligence organizations—to help analysts, collectors, operators, and technical teams apply frontier AI to their highest-priority missions. We accelerate adoption through hands-on support, mission-specific workflows, tailored enablement, and measurable operational outcomes while preserving human judgment, analytic integrity, and protection of sensitive information. About the Role The Strategic Delivery Lead (SDL) for the Intelligence Community will identify, shape, and deliver OpenAI’s highest-impact deployments for U.S. intelligence organizations. You will help IC customers translate mission priorities—including all-source analysis, intelligence production, collection management, open-source and geospatial exploitation, cyber threat analysis, knowledge discovery, and analyst productivity—into secure, technically feasible AI deployments built on the OpenAI API and enterprise products. The role is highly cross-functional and customer-facing: you will partner with Research, Engineering, Go-to-Market, Security, Legal, Privacy, and government mission, acquisition, and technical stakeholders to align on scope, remove delivery obstacles, and communicate progress from working teams to agency leadership. About the role We are seeking a Cyber Enablement Lead to help government cyber professionals turn Daybreak’s capabilities into stronger defenses and measurable mission outcomes. This role combines technical credibility, hands-on teaching, strategic communication, and cross-functional leadership. You will own Daybreak’s government product enablement strategy and personally design and deliver the training that brings it to life. Your work will span audience research, curriculum design, recorded demonstrations and courses, hands-on workshops, executive briefings, and cyber councils. You will work directly with U.S. and international government cyber leaders to translate frontier AI capabilities into practical workflows that address operational challenges. You will also partner with the cyber product team, bringing customer feedback, deployment challenges, and adversarial context into product development. About the Role The Strategic Delivery Lead (SDL), Federal Civilian & State and Local Government, will shape and deliver high-impact AI engagements across federal civilian agencies and state and local governments. You will turn customer priorities into practical deployments and sustained use, helping government leaders and mission teams apply OpenAI technology to public services, knowledge discovery, and operational workflows. This individual contributor role reports to the leader of Federal Civilian and State & Local Government. You will work alongside Account Directors and Applied AI Architects across assigned engagements, coordinating Research, Product, Engineering, Policy, Security, and Enablement resources. You will embed with our most strategic government and public sector customers—where model performance matters, delivery is urgent, and ambiguity is the default. You’ll map their problems, structure delivery, and ship fast. This includes scoping, sequencing, and building full-stack solutions that create measurable value, while driving clarity across internal and external teams.
