Team Lead, Project Operations Management

About the Team The Support team is central to ensuring that our customers' experience with our products is nothing short of exceptional. We resolve complex issues, provide technical guidance, and support customers in maximizing value and adoption from deploying our products. We work closely with Sales, Technical Success, Product, Engineering and others to deliver the best possible experience to our customers at scale. OpenAI's customers represent a range of diverse backgrounds and maturity, from individual customers to early-stage startups and established global enterprises. Given OpenAI’s breakneck shipping cadence and growth – and the expectation that it will only accelerate – our ability to architect automation systems and agentic workflows for scale is central to our ability to maintain exceptional support quality in the face of AGI. About the Role We are seeking a Support Operations Lead who combines operational leadership, systems thinking, vendor management, and hands-on execution. You’ll own service health, automation programs, partner and vendor management. In addition to delivering high-quality service, you’ll identify opportunities to reduce manual work, experiment with tools and help operationalize AI across support at scale. This is not a traditional support operations lead role. We’re looking for someone to help us define the future of support, who thrive at the intersection of team/project management, systems building, data science/engineering, and with deep craft experience in the support operations space. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. 1-2 weeks of travel per quarter may be required. In this role, you will: Lead and evolve organizational design for our frontline operations across partner and vendor management, coaching teams to expand automation and deliver measurable capacity gains. Lead multi-site partner management, including co

Through a combination of strategic partnerships and self-built data center campuses, we are scaling the power, cooling, electrical, mechanical, and controls infrastructure needed to deliver compute at unprecedented scale. The Commissioning organization is responsible for ensuring this infrastructure is safely tested, validated, integrated, and transitioned into reliable operations. For our self-build campuses, the team operates through a hybrid delivery model: OpenAI provides commissioning leadership, discipline ownership, governance, and project integration, while commissioning partners provide field and test engineering capacity to support inspections, startup, testing, and turnover. About the Role We are seeking a Commissioning Project Lead to own the commissioning strategy and execution for a large-scale, self-build data center project. You will lead the overall commissioning program from early construction planning through startup, functional testing, integrated systems testing, and final turnover. You will establish the commissioning execution plan, integrate commissioning activities into the master project schedule, coordinate multidisciplinary readiness, and lead the vendor commissioning partners providing field and test engineering capacity. This role serves as the primary commissioning interface to project leadership, construction management, contractors, equipment vendors, operations, and commissioning partners. You will be responsible for creating clarity across organizations, identifying readiness and schedule risks early, and ensuring the facility progresses through testing and turnover against clearly defined acceptance criteria. The role will initially support planning and coordination in a hybrid capacity and transition to full-time onsite presence as construction, inspections, startup, testing, and t

The team partners across Pre-Construction, Design, Construction, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Network Engineering, Hardware and Rack Delivery, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Accounts Payable, Logistics, and external suppliers. We build the operating mechanisms that keep sourcing decisions, purchase execution, long-lead equipment, network and fiber dependencies, rack readiness, and delivery commitments aligned to infrastructure schedules. About the Role We are seeking an Infrastructure Sourcing Operations Lead to own procurement operations across pre-construction, design, construction, and sourcing through purchase order issuance, while maintaining visibility through invoice resolution, production, logistics, delivery, installation, and readiness. The portfolio includes electrical and mechanical OFCI, networking equipment, rack systems and integration, fiber, cabling, optical interconnects, and other infrastructure required to bring capacity online. In this role, you will set priorities, make or escalate decisions that affect cost, supplier relationships, contractual position, and delivery schedules, and define the standards used by execution support for queue management, documentation, tracker maintenance, and recurring reporting. About the Team Business Marketing helps organizations understand and put OpenAI’s products to work. Our creative team brings that story to life across campaigns, launches, and everyday marketing experiences. We work closely with marketing partners to make ambitious, thoughtful creative work that connects with business audiences. About the Role We’re looking for a Creative Operations Lead who knows how to get exceptional creative work made at extraordinary speed and scale. Reporting to the Head of Creative, Business you will run creative resourcing, budget management, and studio operations across our internal team, contractors, and agencies; balancing ongoing campaigns with rapidly emerging launches and requests. You’ll turn ambitious briefs and tight timelines into achievable production plans, match work to the right talent, and keep multiple teams moving without sacrificing craft or quality. This requires inventive resource management: knowing when to add capacity, batch work, reuse assets, adjust scope, or enable marketers to self-serve. AI is essential to making this possible. You’ll be a hands-on builder who works with creatives, producers, and S&O to improve briefing, accelerate production, and remove repetitive work. Your success will show up in the volume and quality of work the studio delivers, the clarity teams have, and how effectively you use their time. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Own creative resourcing and studio operations across internal teams, contractors, and agencies, matching the right skills and capacity to each project. About the team OpenAI’s Forward Deployed Engineering team partners with customers to turn research breakthroughs into production systems. We operate at the intersection of customer delivery and core platform development. About the Role As a Deployment Lead Life Sciences, you will define how OpenAI delivers complex systems to customers. You will own how they are built, shipped, and adopted. You’ll translate business outcomes into a technical plan, run day-to-day execution across FDEs, Researchers, and Customer Engineers, and partner with customer teams to ensure delivery supports their goals. You will focus on the Life Sciences vertical, partnering with pharmaceutical companies, clinical research organizations, and other data and services providers to deploy next-generation AI capabilities across their drug discovery, development, and operations. You will own delivery end-to-end: embedding with Life Sciences customers to map workflows and success criteria, ensuring components ship on time, and leading readiness and change management for adoption. You’ll track progress, manage dependencies, make sequencing decisions, and drive 0→1 prototypes through MVP and scale. You will also share field insights with Product and Research to guide roadmap and priorities. You'll work directly with vendors, HRBPs, and leadership to make sure our operations are scalable, compliant, and actually simple to use. In the first year, success means moving us from where we are to where we should be: better-configured systems, documented processes, and a team that trusts what's in our tools. Responsibilities Lead HR operations programs end-to-end — define scope, owners, milestones, risks, and success measures, often starting from an undefined brief. Serve as the primary functional owner for core People technology platforms (e.g., HRIS, ATS, LMS, performance tools), including configuration, upgrades, and feature evaluation. Lead technology deployments, platform conversions, and module rollouts, coordinating across IT, HRIS, and vendor teams. Research and benchmark HR technology trends to build and maintain a People tech roadmap that supports scale. Apply AI and e
