Job Summary The Electrical Failure Analysis Engineer is responsible for performing fault isolation and failure analysis on advanced semiconductor devices to identify root causes and support product quality, reliability, and yield improvement. This role utilizes specialized diagnostic tools, semiconductor design knowledge, and failure analysis methodologies to investigate electrical and physical failures, interpret results, generate technical reports, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams. Success in this role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of semiconductor devices and fabrication processes, effective communication abilities, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Perform cross-section analysis and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) inspection to monitor process health and ensure production quality. Handle Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) sample preparation using Focus Ion Beam (FIB) for detailed TEM inspection. Identify defects and failure mechanisms through physical failure analysis using a variety of sample de-processing techniques and a wide range of failure analysis equipment. Complete physical fault isolation techniques to pinpoint and resolve issues that may impact production efficiency. Collaborate with engineering teams to provide timely feedback and implement solutions to maintain efficient production tool performance. Support the analysis of wafers with functional failures by applying various Failure Analysis tools and techniques to isolate defects and identify root causes. Responsibilities: Manufacturing Test Support - Perform failure analysis for New Product Introduction (NPI) and High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM) test failures and identify root cause/defect location in a timely manner - First contact point and first-level failure analysis for manufacturing test-related issues - Prioritize & expedite failure analysis for high priority/DDT lots to meet output goals for business demand - Escalate & work with engineers on issues that require engineer dispo/response, eg: mtSBL trigger, test high fallout etc - Communicate shift pass-down on test matters - Assist the engineering team to identify and reject test failure need for engineer checkout for further engineering eval/investigation - Support special engineering evaluation activity request approved by FA supervisor FA WIP Management - Monitor and maintain FA WIP to meet the target set by FA supervisor for every shift Test Equipment/Lab Management - Perform yearly Production Tester GR&R and Product GRR - Work with PE to set up a new FA debu

Collaborate with process owners and Product teams to drive improvement actions. Develop and implement new FA techniques to reduce turnaround time and enhance accuracy. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and embrace standards for FA workflows. Ensure strict consistency to lab safety protocols and chemical handling guidelines.
