We’re looking for a strategic operator to help advance OpenAI’s life sciences capabilities and translate them into meaningful scientific and commercial impact. Working closely with research teams and external partners, you’ll identify opportunities to improve AI models, products, and supporting infrastructure, and lead partnerships and strategic initiatives that bring these capabilities into real scientific workflows. This role combines partnership development, strategic judgment, and hands-on execution. You’ll help determine where OpenAI can make the greatest contribution, identify the expertise and resources needed, and bring together the right partners to move from an idea to demonstrated impact. In this role, you will: Shape capability priorities. Work with research and cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize new life sciences capabilities, balancing scientific value, technical feasibility, and commercial potential. Build and execute partnerships. Develop data, research, and commercial partnerships with biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical organizations, and other participants in the life sciences ecosystem. Translate capabilities into real-world applications. Partner with external organizations to apply OpenAI’s technology in scientific workflows, evaluate its usefulness, and use those learnings to inform further development. Structure effective collaborations. Work with legal, finance, research, and other teams to define partnership scope, align incentives, and navigate data access, intellectual property, commercial terms, and governance. Lead strategic initiatives. Identify and own projects that advance scientific capabilities and create long-term value for OpenAI, including licensing, joint development, and new applications of AI. If you thrive in high-challenge environments, are inspired by exceptional teammates, and are driven to grow beyond what you thought possible, MX is where you belong. Come build the future with us. Join an award-winning company that isn’t just shaping the financial industry, but transforming it in ways that create meaningful, lasting impact for millions of people. At MX, reliability is a product. Our infrastructure powers financial applications used by millions of people and processes billions of transactions for major financial institutions, and customers feel every second of downtime. We're building a new observability function that runs the way we run incident response: the system does the heavy lifting, and people handle judgment, customers, and the exceptions. As a Senior Observability Engineer, you build and operate an observability control plane. You scaffold baselines, score coverage, and turn every real incident into the detection the platform should have caught. This is a multiplier role: you raise the bar for every team through standards and automation instead of building each team's dashboards by hand. We call it the shepherd model. You shepherd Datadog and partner with our product engineering teams so they observe the right signals for their products. Service owners get real signal instead of noise, and leadership gets coverage and health as a program metric. This role shares the team pager. Observability and incident response run one on-call roster. You take shifts with the rest of the team and act as Incident Commander when an incident needs one. It is core to the role, not an afterthought. Engineering at MX runs hybrid infrastructure (AWS and bare metal) with services in Ruby, Go, and Java, messaging over NATS and RabbitMQ, and data on PostgreSQL an

Senior Cloud Platform Engineer At MX, we’re on a mission to empower the world to be financially strong. We power the financial experiences behind thousands of banks, credit unions, and fintechs, helping millions of people better understand, manage, and improve their financial lives. Our platform sits at the intersection of financial data, cloud-scale infrastructure, and trust, and it has to work, every time, at massive scale. We’re entering a pivotal phase of our technology evolution: moving from legacy on-prem infrastructure to a modern, cloud-native platform designed for resilience, security, and developer velocity. It’s a chance to build the next generation of MX’s platform thoughtfully, reliably, and with long-term impact in mind. If you enjoy working on complex systems, care deeply about uptime and reliability, and want your work to directly power the financial well-being of millions, this is where you’ll do the most meaningful work of your career.
