About the Role The Engineering Acceleration Delivery / Continuous Deployment team builds and operates the systems that safely ship OpenAI’s infrastructure and product code to production. We own the deployment platform, release pipelines, and rollout safety mechanisms that allow engineers across OpenAI to deploy changes rapidly while minimizing operational risk. Our mission is to make production deployments fast, safe, and increasingly autonomous. This role sits at the intersection of developer productivity, distributed systems reliability, and large-scale infrastructure orchestration. In This Role, You Will Design and build continuous deployment infrastructure that safely rolls out changes across dozens of Kubernetes clusters and global regions. Discord has a highly engaged community of millions of daily active users who use the platform for many different reasons, but there’s one thing that nearly everyone does: play video games. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming, and we are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to hang out before, during, and after playing games. Discord's Enterprise Technology org is building a software engineering discipline from the ground up, and this is one of its first engineering hires. The Enterprise Platform team is brand new. You will not be inheriting a mature system or a long backlog: you will own core domains of the platform that turns the internal systems enabling Discordians into self-service software. Discord's mission is to cultivate belonging, and doing that at scale requires internal systems that move as fast as the product itself. The mission of this role is to turn our enterprise infrastructure into self-service software. Your job is to replace manual consoles and tickets with a platform of reusable primitives, building blocks like "provision a device" or "push an IAM policy or app integration through code," exposed through clean APIs and self-service portals. As a code-forward Senior engineer, you will design abstractions that hide the messy reality of Okta, Jamf, and Terraform (our identity, device management, and infrastructure-as-code tools) behind interfaces people actually want to use, operating with a platform-as-a-product mindset. What You'll Do Manage the device fleet as code: Move device configuration off consoles and into versioned, API-driven infrastructure for endpoint management and hardware provisioning. Automate the identity layer: Manage identity systems and their connections to downstream apps as code, from SSO and SCIM integrations to account workflows, so changes ship through version control and CI/CD instead of an admin console. Own app delivery and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Build deployment pipeline

We are looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join the Customer Solutions team. You will be the technical authority embedded with our most complex customers, guiding them through deployment, architecture, onboarding, and the adoption of agentic development workflows. You bring deep hands-on experience from prior roles and use that depth to advise, design repeatable patterns, and drive customer outcomes end to end. You operate autonomously, own the technical success of your customers, and bring their experience back to shape how Coder builds and delivers. This is not an execution-only role. You are equally comfortable doing deep technical work with a customer and stepping back to design the repeatable pattern behind it. You are energized by ambiguity, motivated by customer outcomes, and capable of influencing organizational change alongside the technical work. This position is required to sit in the Eastern Time Zone. What You'll Do Serve as the primary technical authority for post-sales customers, guiding deployment architecture, environment design, and adoption of Coder across both human and AI development workflows Own onboarding engagements end to end, ensuring customers move from contract to productive adoption with speed and confidence Lead Get Well engagements where architecture decisions, rollout patterns, or organizational dynamics are limiting customer health or growth Help customers implement the technical and organizational changes required to adopt agentic development practices at scale Design and document repeatable delivery patterns across onboarding, architecture, and adoption that can scale across customer segments Design and recommend reference architectures tailored to each customer's cloud environment, security posture, and organizational constraints Translate customer environment complexity into clear guidance on networking, ingress, identity, and infrastructure patterns Anticipate technical and operational risks, escalate to the right
The Role We are looking for a Senior Partner Deployed Engineer to join the Customer Solutions team, focused on building Coder’s partner ecosystem across EMEA. This is a new function at Coder, modeled on the Forward Deployed Engineer role pioneered by companies like Palantir and now the fastest-growing technical role at frontier AI companies. The difference: instead of embedding with a single customer to deploy a platform, you embed with strategic partners to help them understand, position, and deliver Coder’s platform across their entire customer base. You are part Field CTO, part Industry Strategist, part Technical Specialist, and part Partner Relations Lead. You will be the technical authority within our EMEA partner ecosystem: setting the vision for how Coder fits into each partner’s AI, cloud, and modernization offerings, co-creating the GTM sales plays that partner sellers take to market, building the demonstrations and workshops that generate pipeline, and producing the Partner Relations content that establishes Coder’s technical brand in the ecosystem. This is not a support role. You are equally comfortable holding a strategic roadmap conversation with a partner CTO and debugging a Kubernetes deployment in a partner’s lab in the same afternoon. You are energized by the challenge of building a new category through partnerships, motivated by the multiplied impact of enabling an entire ecosystem rather than a single customer, and capable of operating with full autonomy in a fast-moving startup environment. What You’ll Do Serve as the strategic technical thought partner to EMEA partner leadership, including practice leads, CTOs, and solutions architects at global systems integrators, regional cloud consultancies, and hyperscaler field teams.
