That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career. About the team Stripe's Infrastructure organization builds and operates the shared platforms that make it possible for engineering teams to build, deploy, run, and scale reliable products. The organization owns foundational capabilities across service networking and discovery, safe feature and configuration changes, data storage and orchestration, and batch computing. Our platforms support a global engineering audience and power systems at significant scale. This includes the control plane for secure service-to-service communication across tens of thousands of microservices, service and feature deployment infrastructure that helps teams introduce and recover from changes safely, infrastructure for running Stripe's containerized services, and data platforms for storage, pipeline orchestration, and large-scale processing. Our batch compute platforms support technologies including Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Apache Iceberg, Apache Hadoop, and Apache Celeborn. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead or strongly influence teams working on business-critical infrastructure with broad internal adoption. About the team The Applied team safely brings OpenAI's technology to the world. We released ChatGPT; Plugins; DALL·E; and the APIs for GPT-5, embeddings, and fine-tuning. We also operate inference infrastructure at scale. There's a lot more on the immediate horizon. Our customers build fast-growing businesses around our APIs, which power product features that were never before possible. ChatGPT is a prime example of what is currently possible. We simultaneously ensure that our powerful tools are used responsibly. Safe deployment is more important to us than unfettered growth. The Fraud Engineering team works within our Applied Engineering organization identifying and responding to fraudsters on our platform. We are looking for a software engineer with anti fraud & abuse experience to help architect and build our next-generation anti-fraud systems. About the role The Scaled Abuse team protects OpenAI’s products and customers by detecting, preventing, and responding to fraudulent and abusive behavior at scale. We build and operate the backend and data systems that power real-time detection, investigation workflows, and enforcement — balancing strong protections with a great user experience as the platform grows. Our work sits at the intersection of engineering and abuse expertise: we partner closely with Trust & Safety, Security, and Product to understand emerging attack patterns, translate messy signals into clear system behavior, and continuously harden our defenses. The problems are dynamic and ambiguous by default, so we value engineers who can quickly dive into an unfamiliar codebase, develop strong intuition about how it works end-to-end, and propose pragmatic improvements that make the entire stack more resilient. In this role, you will: Design and build systems for fraud detection and remediation while balancing fraud loss, cost of implementation, and customer experience Work closely with finance, security, product, research, and trust & safety ope
About the Team The Integrity team builds the systems OpenAI uses to understand, prevent, and respond to misuse across our products. We partner with Product, Policy, Safety Systems, User Operations, Security, Legal, Privacy, OpenAI for Government, and research teams to turn policy and threat models into product controls, review workflows, measurement systems, and enforcement paths. About the Role We are hiring a Senior Engineering Leader for Integrity's engineering efforts for Sensitive Deployments where model capabilities, customer requirements, deployment environments, privacy considerations, and misuse risks raise the operating bar significantly. These include hyperscaler and government deployments and other high-stakes environments, regulated and high-trust enterprise settings, zero data retention and privacy-constrained deployments. The workloads are increasingly agentic where harm can emerge across a sequence of actions rather than a single prompt. The Sensitive Deployments Engineering Manager will focus on high-consequence use cases relevant to government deployments and broader deployment-readiness questions for high-risk domains (e.g., healthcare), while building reusable Integrity capabilities for agentic detection and enforcements in these environments. We're looking for a hands-on engineering leader to guide a team of senior engineers working on OpenAI's most critical deployments. They will lead both the people and technical execution of the team: hiring and developing engineers, setting a high technical bar, and driving ambiguous, high-priority initiatives from early problem definition to durable production outcomes. They will partner closely with Product, Research, Security, Global Affairs, Sales, Solutions, and customer technical teams, while going deep on architecture, infrastructure, and model behavior when needed. In this role, you will: Lead and grow a team of engineers responsible for complex, high-impact deployments of OpenAI technology in sensit
About the Team The Monetization team is a new cross-functional group working across engineering, product, research, and design to build the foundational systems that will help OpenAI scale access to intelligence responsibly. Our mission is to develop user-first, privacy-preserving monetization products—including next-generation ads experiences—that strengthen user trust, unlock economic opportunity, and support OpenAI’s long-term innovation. Monetization plays a critical role in enabling OpenAI to continue pushing the boundaries of AI capabilities while ensuring the benefits of AGI are broadly shared. We believe monetization must be aligned with user value, uphold rigorous privacy and safety standards, and sustain a healthy ecosystem of developers and businesses. This team operates in a greenfield environment and moves quickly through prototyping, experimentation, and iterative deployment. We partner closely with Product, Design, and Research to bring research breakthroughs into real-world systems at global scale. About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Software Engineer to help build the machine learning infrastructure that powers OpenAI’s monetization and ads systems. In this foundational role, you’ll design and develop the platform layer that enables teams to build, train, deploy, serve, monitor, and continuously improve machine learning models used across advertising and monetization products. You’ll work across the full ML lifecycle, from large-scale data pipelines and feature infrastructure to training systems, model serving, experimentation platforms, and monitoring frameworks. The systems you build will support high-throughput, low-latency advertising workloads while maintaining strict standards for reliability, privacy, security, and performance. This role sits at the intersection of machine learning systems, distributed infrastructure, and monetization, offering the opportunity to shape the core platforms that help translate model innovation into m
About the Team OpenAI's Research Data Team exists to accelerate the evaluation, safety and capabilities of our models and products. Made up of technical operators and software engineers, we design the methods in which we acquire and create data. About the Role As a Research Program Manager (RPM), Data Acquisition, you will partner with research, engineering, and operations to design and implement pragmatic solutions for acquiring data. You will be a key interface between our research roadmap and external data offerings. This role is based in our San Francisco HQ and will be part of a team of RPMs pushing the frontier of data acquisition. In this role, you will: Partner deeply with research: Work with researchers to scope data needs, define success criteria, and translate priorities into clear execution plans. Shape the data acquisition pipeline: Identify, evaluate, and advance high impact data opportunities - balancing research value, feasibility, quality, and responsible execution. Unblock yourself: Move work forward even when the path is unclear — using technical judgement, creative problem solving, and scrappy execution to make progress while longer-term solutions are still forming. Build lightweight systems and visibility: Use SQL, Python, dashboards, and simple tooling to track performance, quality, and blockers. Drive technical roadmaps: Collaborate with engineers to enhance data platforms, resolve blockers, and ensure security best practices such as access management. Scale your impact: Equip vendors and internal teams with the context, standards, and operating rhythms needed to focus on the most important problems. You’ll thrive in this role if you: Are proficient in SQL and Python for analysing datasets, querying databases, building dashboards, and generating actionable insights. Are comfortable using APIs, automation, and AI tools such as Codex to accelerate workflows, remove manual overhead, and upskill quickly in unfamiliar technical areas.Experience sou
