A World-Changing Company Palantir builds the world’s leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more. The Role Talent Strategists work directly for one of our business or product development teams. We work to achieve the same mission using a different and complementary set of tools. We internalize the gravity, urgency, and meaning of our company’s work, inspiring us to find the exceptional individuals we know our teams need to win. We innovate constantly to achieve these ends. We design creative and effective hiring operations in response to the demands our teams face. We embrace breaking these apart and evolving when the terrain beneath us shifts. We scan constantly for what’s working and what’s failing, leveraging data and our keen intuition. Your ability to source uniquely excellent candidates and ascertain team fit is critical in this role. This requires embedding, not merely engaging, with a range of counterparts at the company, from the C-suite to Forward Deployed Engineering. The demands are intense, meaningful, and ever-changing. If this sounds as enticing as it does challenging, you’ll thrive here.

A World-Changing Company Palantir builds the world’s leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more. The Role Palantir’s software forms the operating system for the militaries of the United States and her allies, driving outcomes and enhancing capabilities across the full spectrum of operations, intelligence, and support activities. Our defense applications are the tip of that spear, powerful tools used daily by thousands of soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines to perform critical work at home and abroad from the Pentagon to the front lines. The engineers who build, maintain, and extend these applications are responsible for wielding the immense technical potential of Palantir’s data modeling and AI platforms to create exquisite domain-specific workflows and interfaces that modernize, extend, and revolutionize the capabilities of the warfighter. This is a front-end engineering role focused on marrying Palantir’s Foundry and AIP platform technologies, application specific backend services, and modern web technologies with domain expertise. These teams are nimble and select the right tool for the task in front of them rather than adhering to a rigidly defined tech stack, but the most common setups are React for standard DOM rendering, Maplibre and/or Three js for geospatial and 3D rendering, Redux (in various flavors) for state management, Conjure for API management, and OSDK for interaction with the foundry platform. A rich ecosystem of in-house libraries and toolchains sit on top of that foundation to provide cross-app messaging, live data streaming, robust classification based access control, and a host of other specialized functions. Defense applications developers both consume and produce these re-usable tools as part of their core engineering role. Core R

A World-Changing Company Palantir builds the world’s leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more. The Role The Palantir platform is deployed in numerous critical mission environments including combat zones and classified networks—from the back of a Humvee to a command post to the cloud. This means operating in multiple cloud environments, on-prem air-gapped networks, and at the edge—at scale. We are looking for Edge Infrastructure Engineers to build, operate, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable services for our production infrastructure. This role demands a deep focus on low-level systems, including the deployment and management of physical bare metal servers in both traditional data centers and edge environments. You will be responsible for physical network engineering and the development of robust infrastructure that ensures performance of the Palantir platform. In addition to ensuring performance and reliability, you will play a critical role in building and scaling new environments in a forward-deployed capacity, including onsite. Edge Infrastructure Engineers combine hardware-level engineering experience with the drive to improve existing systems and the creativity to develop novel solutions for evolving challenges. Our team strives to automate processes wherever possible, using whichever tools are best for the job. We strongly believe in engineering teams being responsible for the operations of their services in production. In this role, you’ll work closely with engineers to advocate for and participate in sensible, scalable systems design, sharing responsibility for diagnosing, resolving, and preventing production issues across our most demanding deployments.

A World-Changing Company Palantir builds the world’s leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more. The Role Forward Deployed Software Engineers (FDSEs) work directly with customers to quickly understand their greatest problems and design and implement solutions to use data against them. Our customers rely on Palantir’s platforms for some of their most critical operations, and projects often start with an open ended question like “Why are we delaying so many flights?” or “How can we better identify instances of money laundering?” As an FDSE, you’ll apply your problem solving ability, creativity, and technical skills to help organizations use their data to drive a real impact in the world. You’ll have the opportunity to gain rare insight into and contribute to some of the world’s most important industries and institutions. As an FDSE, your responsibilities look similar to those of a startup CTO: you’ll work in small teams with minimal supervision and own end-to-end execution of high stakes projects. Your day might span discussing architecture with fellow engineers, wrangling massive-scale data, coding a custom web app, speaking with customer executives, or establishing strategy for your team. Whether you aspire to be an entrepreneur or an engineering leader, we believe Palantir is the best place — with the best colleagues — to learn how. You’ll learn how to unpack a problem and understand the costs and consequences of its solution. You’ll learn new technologies and languages, and even develop them yourself. You’ll work autonomously and make decisions independently, within a community that will support and challenge you as you grow and develop.

NOTE: Although this position is in support of our US Government work, this role is located in Tokyo, Japan. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more. The Role Forward Deployed Software Engineers (FDSEs) understand our customers’ greatest pain points and design end-to-end solutions to address them. FDSEs solicit constant feedback on their work from both customers and colleagues, improving our products over time with rapid iteration cycles. FDSEs deploy ground breaking technical solutions to solve our customers’ hardest problems. Projects often start with a nebulous question like “Why are we losing customers?” or “How can we more effectively identify instances of money laundering?” FDSEs lead the way in developing a solution, from high-level system design and prototyping to application development and data integration. As an FDSE, you leverage everything around you: Palantir products, open source technologies, and anything you and your team can build to drive real impact. You work with customers around the globe, where you gain rare insight into the world’s most important industries and institutions. We help our customers detect insider trading, improve disaster relief, fight healthcare fraud, and more. Each mission presents different challenges, from the regulatory environment to the nature of the data to the user population. You will work to accommodate all aspects of an environment to drive real technical outcomes for our customers.
