MongoDB Technical Services Engineers use their exceptional problem solving and customer service skills, along with their deep technical experience, to advise customers and to solve their complex MongoDB problems. Technical Service Engineers are experts in the entire MongoDB ecosystem - database server, drivers, cloud and infrastructure. This also includes services such as Atlas (database as a service), or Cloud Manager (which helps customers with automation, backup and monitoring of their MongoDB systems). Our engineers combine their MongoDB expertise with passion, initiative, teamwork and a great sense of humor to achieve exceptional results for our customers. We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Mexico City for our hybrid working model. Cool things you’ll do MongoDB is on a mission to change the way people think about databases. Along the way, our customers encounter questions and issues about how our approach to databases works for their use case. In Technical Services, it's our job to help these people. You'll be working alongside our largest customers, solving their complex issues - resolving questions on architecture, performance, recovery, security, and everything in between. You'll be an expert resource on standard methodologies in running MongoDB at scale, whatever that scale may be. You'll be an advocate for customers' needs - working with our product management and development teams on their behalf. And you'll contribute to internal projects, including software development of support tools for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics. In addition, you will also be responsible for mentoring and ramping new team members and taking initiatives in building knowledge of new product lines within the MongoDB ecosystem. What you need We consider all candidates with an eye for those who are self taught, insatiably curious, and multi-faceted. It’s important for candidates to check off these boxes: Systems engineering experience, including Linux
We are seeking a Staff engineer to design, build, and operate the internal and external Observability stack for the MongoDB platform. Tens of thousands of customers depend on our Observability stack to monitor their database clusters and to generate actionable alerts to safeguard critical workloads. The Collections team is a newly formed team within MongoDB's Observability & Adoption Org focused on making telemetry onboarding and collection significantly easier across MongoDB. We own key parts of the observability collection stack, including onboarding experience, telemetry collection agents across the data and control planes, and ingestion services for metrics, logs, and traces that support both internal and customer observability in MongoDB, driving insights, recommendations, and alerting. Our mission is to reduce friction for teams implementing and iterating on Observability while partnering closely with development teams to instrument their services using shared best practices, helping define the conventions our telemetry should follow, and building collection and ingestion systems that are stable, performant, secure, well-documented, and self-service. We also work closely with the Data Pipeline and Storage & Query teams to help ensure MongoDB has a stable and performant observability stack end to end. This is an opportunity to join a team shaping how observability works across MongoDB and to have outsized impact on both the developer experience and the reliability of the platform underneath it. As MongoDB Atlas and its supporting infrastructure continue to experience rapid growth, the demand for high-cardinality observability data for internal and external use cases means we need to continually innovate and scale our systems to the next level. For example, MongoDB Observability systems need to handle 10’s of billions of metrics time series, all whilst processing petabytes of logs, traces, and events. Our stack includes VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, Sp

AI frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, and n8n are quickly becoming the default way developers build with AI — and MongoDB wants to be the data platform that shows up everywhere they build. As part of the AI Builders Experience (ABX) org, we're standing up a brand new engineering team in Gurugram to make that happen, and we're looking for Senior Software Engineers to be among its founding members. The team owns the connective layer between MongoDB and third-party AI frameworks, platforms, and tools — the integrations that let developers use MongoDB effectively with the AI stack they've already chosen. That means shipping into some of the fastest-moving open-source ecosystems in tech, working mostly in Python and TypeScript, and partnering with the Database Experience (DBX) org when an integration needs new driver, platform, or product capability underneath it. This is a self-sufficient team by design. You and your engineering manager will be based in Gurugram, and the group is set up to own its area end to end: to decide how integrations get built, tested, released, and maintained, without waiting on another time zone to unblock the day-to-day. You'll work closest with the engineers sitting next to you, pairing on hard problems, reviewing each other's code, and dividing up a broad portfolio, while collaborating with product, partners, field teams, and open source maintainers as the work requires. You'll integrate with fast-moving, often unproven technologies, make pragmatic calls in the face of ambiguity, and own high-visibility projects with minimal guidance. Priorities can shift week to week based on framework changes, customer demand, and partner needs, so we're looking for product-minded engineers who thrive on autonomy and take pride in shipping. Much of your work will happen in public: sending pull requests to upstream repositories, working through external maintainer review cycles, and representing MongoDB in developer communities.
