About the Team The Statsig team within OpenAI owns the experimentation, rollout, dynamic configuration, and analytics infrastructure that sits on the launch path for OpenAI products. Our systems help teams ship safely, evaluate product and model changes in production, and make high-confidence decisions from real-world usage. Statsig began as an independent company built around experimentation, feature management, and product analytics at scale. After Statsig joined OpenAI, the team began the next chapter: bringing that platform expertise and infrastructure into OpenAI as the experimentation and rollout foundation for every product we ship. This is infrastructure with a very direct product consequence. Teams working on ChatGPT, Codex, model measurement, consumer experiences including ads, business subscriptions, developer products, and shared platform systems depend on Statsig to evaluate configurations, move traffic safely, ingest experiment data, serve analytics, and roll changes forward or back when production reality demands it. We are at a critical point in the platform journey. Adoption is accelerating quickly across OpenAI, and the systems that were already important are becoming load-bearing for how the company launches. The infrastructure needs to stay fast under sharply increasing evaluation volume, reliable when more services depend on it, observable enough to debug quickly, and efficient enough to support OpenAI-wide scale. Recent SDK and server-side infrastructure work has already produced measurable wins in latency, reliability, memory usage, and compute efficiency across important services. The next phase is to make those gains systematic: a platform that can absorb rapidly growing product velocity while preserving low latency, data quality, operational safety, and developer trust. Based out of OpenAI's Bellevue office, we are a close-knit team that values in-person collaboration, technical depth, operational ownership, and building infrastructure that

About the Team The Artifacts team is building the AI-native creation layer for documents, spreadsheets, slide decks, dashboards, reports, analyses, and new forms of interactive work products. We are rethinking what creation looks like when models can move from an ambiguous user goal to a polished, editable artifact with strong structure, taste, correctness, and speed. This is a high-agency team working across product, infrastructure, and research. We partner closely with model training teams to shape how frontier models create artifacts, and with ChatGPT product teams to turn those capabilities into experiences that millions of people can use. The work spans full-stack product engineering, model integration, rendering and editing systems, collaboration, storage, evaluation loops, and production reliability. Our ambition is to build the premier product experience for AI-generated artifacts: starting with familiar work products like slides, sheets, and docs, then expanding into new artifact types that are only possible in an AI-native world. About the Role As Engineering Manager, Artifacts, you will lead and grow the engineering team responsible for building this product and technical foundation. You will manage a team of full-stack and infrastructure-oriented engineers, set technical direction, and stay hands-on enough to shape architecture and debug hard problems. This role sits at the intersection of product engineering, research, and infrastructure. You will partner with researchers on how models are trained and evaluated for artifact creation, with product and design on the user experience. This is a strong fit for a technical manager who wants to build and ship, not only coordinate. The team has a fast trajectory, so you will help define both the product surface and the team that builds it. In this role, you will: Lead, manage, and grow a team building AI-native artifact creation experiences across documents, spreadsheets, slide decks, and emerging artifact form

We work closely with Sales, Technical Success, Product, Engineering and others to deliver the best possible experience to our customers at scale. OpenAI's customers represent a range of diverse backgrounds and maturity, from early-stage startups to established global enterprises. About the Role As a Product Engagement Manager on the User Operations team, you will lead a team of Product Engagement Specialists responsible for ensuring smooth, successful product launches across internal and external teams. You’ll be the glue connecting product teams and support operations, equipping teams with the tools and knowledge needed to support new product rollouts. You’ll build scalable feedback loops that capture the voice of the user and translate insights into actionable product improvements, and ensure that frontline teams have the knowledge and skills to deliver accurate, delightful customer interactions at scale. We’re looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of product management, team enablement, and customer advocacy, and who enjoys working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This person will manage the day-to-day work while also helping architect the systems needed to scale it. The successful candidate will be a leader-coach who can lead a small team while continuing to perform individual contributor work. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Lead a team coordinating product launches across internal and external teams, ensuring seamless execution and support readiness. About the Team The Demo Studio is responsible for translating OpenAI’s most advanced capabilities into tangible, high-impact experiences for customers. We design and deliver the demos, applications, and environments that define how executives understand what is possible with AI. Our work sits at the intersection of product, engineering, design, and go-to-market. We operate as a hybrid of product studio and live production team, building experiences that are both technically credible and narratively compelling. About the Role We’re looking for a Demo Studio Lead to own the end-to-end demo experience for OpenAI’s major events, webinars, and strategic programs. This is a highly cross-functional role focused on translating cutting-edge AI capabilities into clear, compelling, and production-ready experiences. You will own the full demo portfolio for an event or initiative, spanning mainstage moments, breakout experiences, booths, and supporting content. You’ll define the narrative, architect workflows, build high-fidelity demo environments, direct presenters, and ensure flawless execution in live environments. This is not a traditional sales engineering, presentation, or narrowly scoped design role — it requires a combination of product thinking, technical fluency, storytelling, systems design, and operational excellence. A key part of the role is presenting the work directly: delivering live demonstrations to executive, technical, and industry audiences across mainstage, breakout, customer, and recorded settings. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, operates with strong ownership, and is excited about shaping how the world experiences AI firsthand. This is a hybrid role that can be based in either San Francisco or New York. In this role, you will: Own the end-to-end demo experience across OpenAI-hosted summits, webinars, third-party industry events, and strategic executive demonstrations. Translate approved product positioning, real OpenAI capabiliti
About the Team The Future of Computing Research team is an applied research team within the Consumer Devices group focused on developing new methods, models, and evaluation frameworks that support our vision for the future of computing. We work at the frontier of multimodal AI, helping turn emerging model capabilities into product experiences that are useful, delightful, and worthy of long-term trust. Our work explores a new class of AI systems that can learn over time, adapt to individuals, and support people in the flow of daily life. This includes long-term memory, user modeling, and personalization systems that are aligned not just with immediate satisfaction, but with a person’s broader goals, values, and well-being. We work closely across research, engineering, design, product, and safety to define what it means to build AI systems that know you over time, act at the right moment, and help in ways that are context-aware, respectful, and demonstrably beneficial. About the Role We are looking for a Research Engineer / Scientist to join the Future of Computing Research team to work on RLHF and post-training for personalized, multimodal AI systems. This role will focus on building the learning and evaluation foundations that help models become more context-aware, adaptive, and useful over time. You will work on problems such as reward modeling, preference learning, long-horizon evaluation, and policy improvement for systems that must make high-quality behavioral decisions in realistic user settings. The work is deeply product-grounded: success is not just higher benchmark performance, but better model behavior in real-world use. The ideal candidate is excited about pushing beyond one-turn assistant behavior toward systems that improve through feedback, learn from richer signals, and are trained against meaningful notions of user value. Internally, that maps closely to the need for careful reward design, feedback loops, and evaluation frameworks that test whether i

You will partner closely with our safety research and engineering teams to determine what we measure, where we measure it, and how we measure it, feeding those insights directly into critical leadership decisions and back into our safety work. You will also represent the company's topline safety metric as well as prioritize incoming requests from partner teams to expand our safety measurement platform to more use cases.
