Who We Are Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together . We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion. Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work. About the Role We’re rolling out Go support at production scale at Notion, and we need an owner who can make it durable. You’ll lead the work to turn Go into a fully supported, well-operated platform: reliable and scalable service patterns, paved paths for our tooling stack, and the guardrails that make building in Go feel fast and safe. This role matters because our next wave of AI and agent-driven products will require backend services where Node won’t always be the right fit, and the platform decisions we make now will compound for years. While Go is the core focus, this role sits within Developer Experience and will regularly tackle other high-leverage engineering productivity challenges, developer experience ranging from AI-assisted development workflows and remote agent environments to CI performance, deployments, and reliability tooling. This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.

We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead the technical direction of the backend systems powering Pinterest's AI-driven product experiences — Pinterest Assistant, visual editing and content creation tools and future LLM-based products. You'll design and ship backend systems while architecting the broader platform strategy that enables these experiences to scale across surfaces and teams. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll move between deep technical execution, system-level architecture and cross-team technical leadership. What you'll do: Define the backend and platform architecture for AI-driven product experiences — visual-chat, AI image generation and editing, and agentic or LLM-based products — partnering with Engineering, Product, ML and UX leaders to shape the technical vision and roadmap. What you’ll do Act as the technical lead for large parts of the scanner platform: system architecture, codebase structure, and long-term maintainability. Own core runtime foundations: distributed control, state management, fault handling, and reliability. Drive engineering rigor: testability, code quality, review standards, performance regression prevention, and release processes. Build robust observability: logs, metrics, traces, and replayable diagnostics (with privacy constraints). Collaborate with hardware and recon/ML teams to define interfaces, data contracts, timing/synchronization, and failure modes. Lead complex refactors (e.g., message passing / RPC boundaries, modularization, concurrency model) without halting forward progress. What we’re looking for Deep software architecture experience for real-world systems: robotics, instrumentation, medical devices, or other complex distributed products. Strong Python and concurrency background (asyncio, multiprocessing, profiling, performance engineering). Track record of shipping systems that are observable, debuggable, and resilient. Strong technical leadership: clarity, pragmatic trade-offs, and mentoring. Useful experience Building but rock-solid systems: clear interfaces (gRPC/protobuf or equivalent), strong state modeling, and failure handling. High-leverage engineering habits on a lean team: good tests, CI, reproducible dev environments, and fast code review. Practical performance + concurrency work in Python (asyncio, profiling, multiprocessing) and comfort debugging distributed behavior. Security-minded device software: safe defaults, encrypted data paths, and disciplined handling of PII/PHI. Operational thinking: remote updates/management, excellent logging, and diagnostics that make real hardware debuggable.
Aliases: Staff Engineer, Senior Staff Engineer, Lead Engineer, Senior Technical Lead, Senior Architect, Platform Architect, Data Architect, Solutions Architect (Engineering), Principal Engineer at a smaller company About Truveta Truveta is the world's first health provider-led data platform with a vision of Saving Lives with Data. Our mission is to enable researchers to find cures faster, empower every clinician to be an expert, and help families make the most informed decisions about their care. Achieving Truveta's ambitious vision requires an incredible team of talented and inspired people with a unique combination of health, software, and big data expertise who share our company values. This opportunity Join the founding team of the Truveta India Development Center and play a pivotal role in shaping its future. As one of the early members, you will help build and scale a high-impact organization while contributing to the products and platforms that advance healthcare through data and AI. This is an unusual chance to influence both the technical direction and the culture of a growing global engineering hub. The Data Platform group in India owns parts of the pipeline that ingests, processes, stores, and serves healthcare data at a scale very few organizations operate at. Patients, doctors, and medical researchers deserve the same engineering rigor that has transformed other industries, and that is the work: correctness under volume, reliability under failure, and speed without cutting the corners that regulated health data does not allow anyone to cut. Who we need We are seeking engineers who think in platforms. You will own a processing domain or a multi-team data capability, define its architecture, and make that architecture legible enough that the teams building inside it can move quickly without asking permission. The problems at this level are the recurring ones: the class of data-quality defect that keeps retu

You'll assess technical architecture, flag the risks and open questions that matter most early, and turn that into a clear post-acquisition integration path. Working closely with engineering, you'll keep the evaluation focused on what's actually decision-relevant, then translate the findings into strategic recommendations for leadership and help carry the integration through by partnering with the right people on the other side. About the Team: Tubi's Internal Tools team is at the forefront of AI integration, developing everything from developer resources to production-grade AI for business operations. We are the group responsible for turning AI from an experiment into an operating capability: training, infrastructure, developer agents, and AI-powered business systems. Engineers operate with high ownership and autonomy, collaborating on shared architectural decisions and AI infrastructure. What You'll Do: Own systems end to end — design them, build them, and support them in production. Lead the projects you own: sequence the work, decide what lands first, and set technical direction for the engineers working with you. Sit with the people who use what you build, and turn what you learn there into a system. Design the service boundaries, contracts and schema evolution that let our platforms grow without breaking the teams depending on them. Make our AI systems dependable in production: evaluation harnesses, human approval steps before an agent acts, retries that handle a model returning something unexpected, and cost tracking that tells you what a task costs before you run it. Build what other engineers build on — agent skills, tool and MCP integrations, shared libraries — and raise the bar through code review, design discussion and mentoring. Spot the platform work nobody has asked for yet, make the case for it, and build it. Your Background: 5+ years of professional experience building and operating production systems, from design through production ownership. A system you designed and can walk us through end to end — where its boundaries sit, what constrained it, and what you chose against. Strong programming proficiency in a statically typed language such as Rust, Go, C++, Java, Kotlin, C#, or TypeScript. Production Rust is a plus rather than a requirement. You have owned a service in production: you wrote the runbooks, you knew what it cost, and you were the one paged when it broke. Expe
