At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive. Our mission depends on having a digital representation of the physical world - a map with all routing related (real-time) information. This is what makes Lyft different from many products: our products don’t just facilitate online interactions, they facilitate dynamic, real-world ones. Without mapping services, none of these real world interactions between people and transport can happen. The Mapping organization at Lyft has spent the last few years building up Lyft’s mapping assets and capabilities by combining many internal and external data sources and services into an increasingly powerful and mission-critical technology stack. In doing so, we’ve also enabled new user experiences and features across all of Lyft’s products, including rideshare industry leading firsts like CarPlay, Android Auto, and real-time driver feedback! We are hiring a Software Engineer to join our Mapping experiences team that builds end user features to enhance drivers and riders experience on Lyft’s platform by using our in house navigation system. We are looking for an engineer with expertise in system architecture, cross team collaboration, and experience in building scalable solutions in the cloud environments. In this role, you'll collaborate with engineering, product, data science, analytics, operations, and AI/ML teams on programs that empower us to iterate quickly, delighting our passengers and drivers with rideshare focused mapping experiences. Responsibilities: Drive high-impact projects and innovate new solutions to provide the best user experience Lead large features from idea to positive execution and launch Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge, as well as on call rotations Share your knowledge by giving brown ba

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. The Community You Will Join: The Host Pricing & Settings team builds the platform and tools that help hosts run their business — with pricing strategies informed by market intelligence, comparable listings, and demand signals. We partner with Search, Listings, Tax, and Payments to ensure our guidance is accurate, timely, and trusted. Behind every pricing recommendation is a sophisticated ML system undergoing a fundamental rearchitecture. Our north star: a serving infrastructure where training, inference, and evaluation are consistent by design — features from a centralized store, model composition in one place, and backfills available on demand so data scientists and MLEs can evaluate candidates in days, not weeks. The Difference You Will Make: As a senior technical individual contributor, you will own the technical strategy for the full Modeling → ML Serving → API interface across the Host Pricing org. Although you will be at one of our highest levels of seniority, all individual contributors at Airbnb are Software Engineers — you are expected to be hands-on and contribute code. Define the architecture and contracts governing how models move from development to production — feature store design, model schema management, online/offline inference consistency, and multi-version support. Lead the buildout of a unified serving stack that eliminates per-model one-off implementations and gives data scientists a turnkey path from training to production. Architect backfill and evaluation infrastructure so the modeling team can simulate production inference over historical data in days, not weeks. Establish do

About the Team Our London-based team builds the backend systems that help ChatGPT scale reliably. We work on infrastructure close to the product, partnering with engineering teams to improve the performance, resilience, and operability of critical user-facing systems. Our work combines backend software engineering with distributed systems and production reliability. We build shared capabilities, improve high-traffic workflows, and make it easier to introduce new product functionality without compromising performance or availability. About the Role This role is for software engineers who want to build and evolve backend systems operating at significant scale. You’ll write production code, design shared infrastructure, and solve technical challenges involving performance, distributed systems, and system reliability. You’ll also own how those systems behave in production: how changes are rolled out, how issues are detected and diagnosed, and how recurring operational problems can be addressed through better software and system design. This is a strong fit for backend engineers who enjoy complex systems problems and want a direct connection between the infrastructure they build and the experience of ChatGPT users. In this role, you will: Design, build, and maintain backend systems supporting high-traffic ChatGPT experiences. About the Team The Privacy Engineering team builds the systems and technical foundations that govern how user data is understood, retained, accessed, and used across OpenAI. We partner with Product, Data, Infrastructure, Security, and Legal to translate policy and trust commitments into durable architecture and enforceable controls. Our work spans data inventory and mapping, classification and lineage, retention and deletion, access governance, purpose and usage controls, auditability, and lifecycle automation. We aim to make policy-aligned data handling the default while giving teams clear, reliable primitives for building and operating products at scale. About the Role We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to drive the architecture and execution of user data governance across OpenAI. You will define technical direction, build shared platforms and controls, and lead cross-functional programs that make data flows discoverable, policies enforceable, and ownership explicit. About the Team The Platform Analytics team builds the systems OpenAI researchers use to understand the quality and behavior of the models we train including what models are doing, why they behave in a particular way, and how that behavior changes across experiments. Neptune is a core part of this work. It ingests, stores, queries, and visualizes large volumes of metrics from pretraining, post-training, and reinforcement learning. Hundreds of researchers depend on these systems in their daily work to compare experiments, debug unexpected behavior, and decide what to try next. Our scope is broader than metrics. We also build platforms that help researchers analyze samples, traces, evaluation results, and other structured or unstructured data through dashboards, APIs, and increasingly agent-driven workflows. These systems need to remain fast, reliable, and understandable as the scale and complexity of research change quickly. We are not trying to become a consulting team that builds a separate solution for every research project. We work directly with researchers to understand recurring problems, then turn them into reusable infrastructure and platform capabilities that many teams can build on. About the Role We’re looking for a hands-on experienced software engineer who can take ownership of a critical system and drive it from problem definition through production adoption. This person should be able to own a platform such as CacheHouse end to end: define its technical direction, design its data model and storage architecture, integrate it with several research dashboards and workflows, guide one or two engineers, and ensure the system works reliably for its users. The right candidate should already bring the technical judgment, ownership, and execution expected at this level. The primary learning curve should be OpenAI’s stack and research problem space, not learning how to lead a complex engineering effort or deliver a production system. You will work directly with
