AI needs a new infrastructure layer. We're building it at Modal. Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now. Our customers include category-defining companies like Lovable , Ramp , Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale. We recently raised a $355M Series C at a $4.65B valuation, led by General Catalyst and Redpoint Ventures. We've crossed $300M+ ARR and grown fivefold since September. Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g., Seaborn , Luig i ), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience. About the Role: As a Manager, Enterprise Sales, you will lead and scale our enterprise sales team, driving strategic revenue growth with a consultative, customer-first approach. THE ROLE We’re looking for a Head of Environment to build the physical expression of Baseten as we grow from roughly 300 employees today to more than 2,000 over the next couple of years. You’ll own the environments, spaces, and experiences that define what it feels like to work at Baseten. This is equal parts operations, hospitality, design, and strategy. You’ll partner closely with our founders and leadership team to create an environment that scales with the company while remaining unmistakably Baseten. You’ll inherit a strong Workplace Experience team and continue to evolve the function into one of the defining strengths of the company. We’re looking for someone who has built and scaled world-class workplace functions before; someone who has seen what’s ahead and can help us get there faster. RESPONSIBILITIES Own Baseten’s global workplace and real estate strategy, developing the long-term roadmap for how our physical footprint evolves as we scale from hundreds to thousands of employees. Lead real estate planning, site selection, expansions, and significant capital investments across our headquarters, growing network of smaller offices, and future international locations. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F , led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to to ship AI products. THE ROLE Baseten is building its own GPU infrastructure for large-scale inference. As we move into large scale, high-density NVIDIA systems, the hardest failures are intermittent, cross-layer, and difficult to prove: RoCE congestion, InfiniBand stalls, ECN/DCQCN mis-tuning, bad optics, RNIC issues, host kernel stalls, GPU driver problems, and workload symptoms that look like network problems, but are not. We are hiring a Lead Software Engineer to build a first-class observability and root-cause analysis system for GPU fabrics. This is a hard distributed systems problem, not a dashboarding problem. The system will collect high-volume signals from switches, hosts, active probes, and inference services; reduce and correlate them in real time; understand topology and service ownership; and produce actionable diagnosis while an incident is still unfolding. This role sits at the boundary between networking and inference software. RDMA data paths, GPUDirect transfers, prefill/decode disaggregation, KV cache movement, request routing, and workload backpressure can all create fabric symptoms or hide real fabric failures. The goal is to tell an operator, quickly and with evidence, whether an incident is caused by the fabric, host, NIC, GPU, RDMA path, scheduler, or serving layer — and what to do next. EXAMPLE INITIATIVES Real-time telemetry engine — Build the ingestion, reduction, storage, and query path for high-cardinality fab

Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to to ship AI products. THE ROLE We're looking for a Marketing Operations Manager who can own and harden the systems layer of Baseten's Marketing engine. Marketing at Baseten is scaling fast — more spend, more campaigns, more model launches, more inbound. The systems underneath (Our ESP, CRMs, forms, tracking, routing, alerting) need an owner who treats them like production infrastructure that cannot go down. When something breaks, it costs us time, pipeline, and trust in the data. This role exists so it doesn't break. You’ll simultaneously build for the future and re-think assumptions about our tech stack in the age of agents. This is an offensive play that gives the rest of the team leverage and superpowers to hit our ambitious goals. This is NOT an IT or service role. This is a core member of the marketing team who implements technology to achieve outcomes. RESPONSIBILTIES Own the marketing tech stack end-to-end: ad platforms, email systems, tracking, pixels, forms, connectors. Build defense-in-depth on inbound: spam/bot protection, rate limiting, email/domain validation, sync gating — and the alerting to catch anomalies before they hit sales or leadership dashboards. Enforce data integrity: UTM governance, campaign membership, lifecycle stages, lead scoring and routing logic, field-level hygiene, canonical metric definitions. Operationalize the web request pipeline with our dev agency: structured briefs, tickets, SLAs, and launch-day runb

Reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer, this leader will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance to drive revenue predictability, operational excellence, and strategic alignment across the full customer lifecycle. This is a high-impact, highly visible role for an operator who thrives at the intersection of strategy, data, process, and technology — and who can translate analytical insight into actionable outcomes. A Day in the Life of a Revenue Operations Manager: GTM Strategy & Revenue Planning Own the annual and quarterly revenue planning process, including quota setting, territory design, and headcount modeling in partnership with Sales leadership and Finance. Develop and maintain a single source of truth for GTM performance, pipeline health, and revenue forecasting. Drive the Appspace GTM operating cadence — including QBRs, pipeline reviews, and forecast calls — ensuring rigor, consistency, and accountability. Sales Operations Lead and develop a high-performing Revenue Operations team spanning sales ops, marketing ops, CS ops, and data/analytics. Design and enforce consistent sales processes, methodologies, and rules of engagement across all GTM segments (SMB, Mid-Market, Enterprise). Identify and remove operational friction across the sale

This is a high-impact, hands-on role. You'll own the entire revenue operations function, from top-of-funnel lead routing through deal close and commission administration. You'll work closely with our Head of Finance & People Ops and sales leadership to build the systems, dashboards, and processes that scale our go-to-market motion. What You'll Do: Own the lead routing process from inbound and partnering with marketing to ensure proper attribution Run effective territory management & strategy for Geo based decisioning Support & strategise every aspect of revenue operations in your territory Own the strategy for capacity forecasting, inputs, throughputs & outputs being the conduit back to finance in

Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to to ship AI products. At Baseten, we are building the global operating system for distributed, heterogeneous AI hardware. We believe that as LLM and multi-modal workloads scale, the network is the computer. We are looking for foundational engineers to lead our GPU Networking efforts, making RDMA a first-class building block in our infrastructure and unlocking the next generation of distributed inference optimizations. THE OPPORTUNITY Networking and compute are no longer separate disciplines; they are converging. The massive throughput of H100, B200, and NVL72 architectures enables and demands a new approach where communication is co-optimized alongside computation. We are entering an era where the network is an active accelerator, leveraging smart hardware offloads and direct interconnects to ensure that data movement operates at wire-speed. In this role, you will go beyond network configuration to architect the software fabric that unifies thousands of GPUs into a cohesive operating system. While you will leverage the best of the open-source ecosystem, you won't be limited by it. Where off-the-shelf solutions stop, you will build from scratch, engineering the primitives required to co-optimize communication and compute for Disaggregated Serving, Wide Expert Parallelism (WideEP), and lightening cold starts.
