About Us: AI needs a new infrastructure layer. We're building it at Modal. Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now. Our customers include category-defining companies like Lovable , Ramp , Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale. We recently raised a $355M Series C at a $4.65B valuation, led by General Catalyst and Redpoint Ventures. We've crossed $300M+ ARR and grown fivefold since September. Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g., Seaborn , Luig i ), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience. The Role: We are looking for a strong technical lead to guide the engineers designing, building, and maintaining the novel, high-performance systems that make up our serverless platform. You'll lead the team responsible for Modal's machines layer: the fleet of bare metal and cloud hosts that every Function, Sandbox, and training job runs on, and the control plane that provisions, images, monitors, and repairs them. You'll own the full lifecycle of a machine, from accepting and benchmarking new hardware from a growing set of providers, to network bring-up, kernel and image management, GPU and disk health tracking, and automated remediation of unhealthy hosts. You'll manage a team of 3–8 engineers while staying hands-on across the stack which involves BMCs, firmware, PXE, bootloaders, Linux networking, drivers, and distributed control-plane services, and you'll shape our long-

We are a global team of innovators and pioneers dedicated to shaping the future of observability. At New Relic, we build an intelligent platform that empowers companies to thrive in an AI-first world by giving them unparalleled insight into their complex systems. As we continue to expand our global footprint, we're looking for passionate people to join our mission. If you're ready to help the world's best companies optimize their digital applications, we invite you to explore a career with us! Your opportunity AI is a top strategic priority for New Relic, and the Bengaluru design team is at the center of it. The team works across three closely related product clusters: autonomous incident response (SRE Agent, Autopilot, and Intelligent RCA), the intelligence and platform layer that powers them (Ground Truth, Agentic Platform, and New Relic AI), and AIOps for event correlation and incident management. These products share a common design challenge: users need to trust systems that act autonomously, and building that trust through good design is genuinely hard work. This is an on-site role in Bengaluru. Your designers are there, and many of your engineering and product partners are too. Being present — in standups, reviews, and the quick conversations before a decision gets made — is part of how you'll build the relationships that make design effective. You'll also collaborate with design, product, and engineering partners in the US and Spain, so operating across time zones and communicating well in writing are part of the job. You'll manage a small team of designers and own the quality of the work across these products. The design questions here don't have established answers — how do you make an autonomous system legible? How do you build user trust in AI-generated root cause analysis? How do you design a handoff from machine decision to human judgment? If you're already working in AI product design, or actively building toward it, and you want to lead a team

Location : Come and join us in Hamburg or Berlin! Following Lyft’s acquisition of Freenow, we are looking for a Senior TPM to lead the technical workstreams that get us to Day 1 readiness — the period between signing and closing — and to set up the integration that follows. This is a high-stakes, high-visibility role reporting into the EU Tech Leader, with direct exposure to Freenow and Lyft leadership. You will be the single point of accountability for technical Day 1 readiness. That means making sure every employee, every office, and every critical system is ready to operate underFreenow by Lyft from the moment the deal closes — and that the integration stream is up and running the day after. You will also be the TPM accountable for the integration of future acquisitions Freenow makes. This is not a role for someone who wants to administer a project plan. You are expected to be technically credible, opinionated, and comfortable holding senior people to account across IT, Security, Infrastructure, Engineering, Legal, People, and Finance. You make decisions when others stall, escalate cleanly when you can’t, and keep the whole machine moving. YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE: Day 1 readiness. Own the end-to-end technical readiness plan between signing and closing. Define what “ready” means, track every workstream against it, and call the go/no-go on technical readiness for Day 1. IT and workplace cutover. Coordinate identity and system access (SSO, IdP, mail, productivity suite, engineering tooling), hardware provisioning and re-imaging, and office setup including network, VPN, Wi-Fi, meeting rooms, and physical access. Make sure nobody shows up on Day 1 unable to work. Security and compliance posture. Partner with Security and Legal to make sure the technical environment meets the new shareholder’s requirements on Day 1 — access controls, data handling, audit trails, vendor relationships. About the Role REMOTE IN INDIA We're looking for a software engineer to build the Kubernetes-native control plane that provisions and runs our GPU inference fleet. You'll design a manifest-driven API where the inference team declares what they need, whether that's a cluster, a model deployment, or a capacity change, and our controllers handle the reconciliation, provider/runtime selection, and lifecycle management underneath, so the inference team never has to know or care which specific serving stack, scheduler, or hardware pool is doing the work. You'll also build the systems that keep the fleet efficient, not just running, including defragmentation and rebalancing logic that consolidates scattered workloads back into contiguous capacity, and scheduling/bin-packing improvements that push GPU utilization up without hurting latency. The core value we're after is decoupling the people building on top of the platform from the operational and runtime complexity underneath, while squeezing more usable capacity out of the same hardware. You'll build the controllers, reconciliation loops, and self-service surface (API/CLI, not tickets) that make that decoupling real, plus the event-driven health, remediation, and utilization systems that keep it running and efficient without a human in the loop. Strong candidates have hands-on experience with Kubernetes controller/CRD patterns, have built or operated a platform API that abstracts multiple backends behind one interface, understand GPU scheduling and capacity efficiency (fragmentation, bin-packing, right-sizing), and think about GPU infrastructure as software to be engineered. A product mindset - you've built internal platforms or APIs consumed by other engineering teams and care about the developer experience of what you ship. You build it, you own it. You are not only responsible for delivering the software but also for operating and supporting it in production. Responsibilities Build the provisioning state machine

Diligent Corporation
📍 Vancouver• Full-time• From C$90K/yr

Platform administration isn't the part of the product anyone screenshots for a demo. Nobody's writing a blog post about your identity provisioning flow. But it's the thing every other team at Diligent quietly depends on more than any other dev team in the company and when it breaks, everyone notices immediately. If that kind of quiet, high-stakes ownership sounds appealing rather than thankless, keep reading. This role is for someone who wants real skin in the game: you build it, you ship it, you support it. We're a high-initiative team that improves things we see first and asks permission later, building secure, event-driven microservices in TypeScript on AWS, and treating infrastructure as code the same way we treat application code: with rigor, not as an afterthought. Here's a breakdown of what you'll do (not all of it, just the important stuff) Design and build secure, scalable full-stack services using AWS serverless tech (Lambda, SQS, API Gateway) — with real attention to event-driven patterns and observability, not just "does it work on my machine." Own your services in production. That means building good observability, keeping an eye on alerts, and responding to them before they become bigger problems. Build infrastructure as code with AWS CDK and push for CI/CD that ships safely and often — not "big bang" releases you have to pray over. Design RESTful APIs other teams will actually want to consume: clear contracts, sane versioning, no surprises. Write tests — unit, integration, end-to-end — as part of how you build, not a chore you do after. Show up to architecture discussions with opinions and documentation, not just vibes. Use AI tools to move faster on coding, debugging, testing, and research — but you're still the one who validates the output. These are the essentials you'll need to get an interview 2-3 years of professional software engineering experience in an agile, full-stack-focused environment. Solid full-stack fundamentals: request lifecycles, d

Scale AI
📍 San Francisco• Full-time• From $182.4K/yr
17 days ago

Join the team shaping the future of AI at Scale. Scale builds RL environments: sandboxed replicas of the digital spheres where real knowledge work occurs and built from the operating data of the companies that actually hold it. As the Data Acquisition Lead , you will own the commercial motion that gets us that data end to end. You will figure out which companies sit on the data for the next domain worth owning and then go and get it. This is a zero-to-one function with no playbook. You should be prepared to wear many hats, from thesis-driven dealmaker to hands-on operator to technical translator between commercial and Research teams. You will: Map the supply side. Work backwards from where labs are pushing to the specific organizations holding the underlying data. Build a thesis on which domains are worth owning and in what order. Invent the deal structures. You'll work with Scale’s legal team to define the first version of how these transactions get priced. Close. Own it from cold outreach to signature. Close the loop with the technical side. You need to hold a real conversation about what makes a dataset trainable and become an expert in what makes this underlying data valuable. Build the machine. Do the work by hand first, then turn what you learn into a repeatable pipeline. Ideally, you’d have: 5+ years across some mix of business development, corp dev, commercial strategy, or early-stage GTM. The label matters less than a track record of building a commercial motion that didn't exist before you got there A strong track record of managing important external relationships Strong business judgment and the ability to evaluate partnership value quickly Clear communication skills and comfort working with senior stakeholders Ability to operate independently while staying closely connected to cross-functional teams A practical, hands-on approach to building new functions from the ground up Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments Experience in
