We are currently looking for a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to our team in Stockholm or Malmö, Sweden. Please note that applicants must live in Sweden and hold a valid work permit at the time of application to be considered for this role. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and debug embedded firmware for 802.15.4 Thread-based devices (border routers, RCPs, sleepy/end devices) running on an RTOS and embedded Linux Integrate and maintain the OpenThread stack and Matter commissioning/data-model layers across the product line Work closely with hardware engineers on SoC/MCU bring-up and debug radio timing, RF, and low-power issues at the driver level Implement and troubleshoot Thread border routing, SRP, and network commissioning/joining flows, including bridging t
What you’ll do Act as the in-house electrical lead for Midjourney Medical: own the electrical architecture of the scanner and the technical direction for all board-level design. Own complex board design end-to-end: architecture, schematic capture, layout (high-speed digital, analog/mixed-signal, power), DFM/DFT, fabrication and assembly vendor management, bring-up, and revision control. Write firmware for embedded targets (MCU/SoC): drivers, real-time control loops, safety-relevant logic, bootloaders, and field update paths. Audit and update HDL (FPGA) code for high-throughput data acquisition, timing/synchronization, triggering, and pre-processing of ultrasound and sensor data streams. Define electrical interfaces and data contracts with software, recon/ML and mechanical teams: timing budgets, clocking/sync, signal integrity, connectors/harnessing, and failure modes. Establish electrical engineering rigor: design reviews, schematic/layout review checklists, bring-up procedures, test fixtures, and documentation suitable for a regulated medical device program (DHF, traceability, change control). Mentor and grow the electrical function; select and manage external design partners where leverage is high. What we’re looking for Deep experience designing complex boards from blank page to stable revision, including high-speed digital and analog/mixed-signal domains. Strong schematic and layout skills (Altium/KiCad or equivalent) with real signal integrity, power integrity, grounding

About Hark Hark is an artificial intelligence laboratory, building the most advanced, personal intelligence in the world. We believe that artificial intelligence can be used to help offload our mental workload through thinking like us and sometimes ahead of us. Intelligence that is proactive and personalized through new models capable of interacting with the world through speech, text, vision and persistent memory. We're pairing that intelligence with next-generation hardware to create a universal interface between humans and machines. While today's AI largely operates through chat boxes and decade-old devices, Hark is focused on what comes next: agentic systems that interact naturally with people and the real world. About the Role The Embedded Software team owns the software running on Hark’s next generation of AI hardware, and we are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to build the system software at the heart of it. You will design, implement, and debug system-level components and services that span the kernel, user space, and the microcontroller domains, and you will work across RTOS, bare metal, and Linux environments on the same product. This is a systems software role. You will partner with the BSP, platform, UX, firmware, and hardware teams to make the device work as one product. Responsibilities Design, implement, and debug system-level components and services across kernel, user space, and MCU domains Develop system software on RTOS and bare
