Job Title: Clinical Cancer Pharmacist Banding: Band 8a Location: North Wales Start Date: ASAP Duration: 12 Months Hourly Rate: ยฃ33 - ยฃ35 Working Hours: 3 Days Per Week Job Overview Pulse is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Band 8a Clinical Cancer Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team in North Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist pharmacist to provide advanced clinical pharmacy support within cancer services while contributing to a range of pharmacy technical service activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care to oncology patients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimise treatments, improve patient outcomes, and ensure the safe and effective use of medicines. Key Responsibilities Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to oncology and cancer patients. Support the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of cancer medicines. Undertake clinical medication reviews and provide pharmaceutical advice to healthcare professionals. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and patient care planning. Support prescribing decisions and medicines optimisation initiatives within cancer services. Contribute to the monitoring and management of high-risk medicines. Assist with pharmacy technical service activities as required. Support clinical governance, audit, and service improvement projects. Maintain accurate documentation in line with professional and regulatory standards. Qualifications and Experience Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Have significant NHS hospital pharmacy experience. Demonstrate experience working at Band 8a level or equivalent. Possess specialist clinical knowledge within Oncology or Cancer Services. Have experience providing advanced clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting. Be confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
