Position Summary - Supports comprehensive coordination of Medicaid and/or Medicare pharmacy services including intake and processing of pharmacy authorization requests. - Promotes and supports quality effectiveness of healthcare and Pharmacy Services. - Evaluates, authorizes approval, and communicates decisions for pharmacy requests according to clinical guidelines. - Evaluates and authorizes approval of pharmacy requests received by telephone, facsimile, and/or other means using client clinical criteria. - Determines appropriateness for medications. Position Summary CVS Specialty Pharmacy is hiring Pharmacists for our mail service pharmacy in Bartlett, Tennessee. This hybrid position offers a combination of onsite and work-from-home responsibilities. As a pharmacist, you will have the ability to provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals and provide leadership and guidance to supporting staff. This position is responsible for interacting with the health care professionals in the provision and coordination of customer care. Additionally, you will direct supportive personnel, such as PSR’s and Pharmacy Technicians, in the daily activities they perform as it pertains to clinical and distributive activities. Ensure activities are performed to CVS Health standards and in accordance with written SOP’s and regulatory constraints. The Pharmacist has primary responsibility related to distributive services to ensure the correct medication and related items are appropriately picked, packed, and distributed to patients.
