Asana
📍 San Francisco• Full-time
1mo ago

As Chief of Staff to the Chief Product Officer, you will be a force multiplier for Asana's product leadership team. This role helps the CPO run a high-functioning organization by translating priorities into an effective operating rhythm, keeping Product, Engineering, and Design aligned, and driving the key forums, communications, and strategic work that let leaders make better decisions faster. This is a high-trust, high-judgment role for someone who can move fluidly between strategic thinking and execution. You will own the cadence and connective tissue around the Office of the CPO: leadership meetings, board and planning materials, internal communications, cross-functional follow-through, and special projects that do not sit neatly within a single team. The role is especially important as the CPO's org now includes StackAI, Ecosystem Partnerships, and Data Science. You increase the CPO’s leverage by representing his priorities clearly, moving cross-functional work forward without him in the room, and imposing structure on messy, ambiguous situations. This role is not a head of operations, a gatekeeper, or a proxy product leader. It succeeds by increasing leadership leverage, organizational clarity, and decision quality across the product organization. This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements. What you’ll achieve Run the core operating rhythm for the Office of the CPO, including but not limited to CPO directs, R&D leadership, and product leads at executive meetings Drive high-quality preparation, agendas, decisions, and follow-through for leadership meetings so the right conversatio

The Behavior AI team builds the AI-based anomaly detection behind Datadog's security products. Our models learn what normal looks like across the billions of logs, events, and telemetry records flowing through the platform every second, and they flag the behavior that does not fit, on every record, in real time, at a cost that makes sense at our scale. What we build does not ship to a single feature. The same models power detection across many of Datadog's security products at once, so the work has impact well beyond any one team. Large general-purpose models are too slow and too expensive to run in that path, so we take the opposite approach: small, custom models, designed for high-throughput stream processing and optimized to run cheaply on every record. We are hiring a Senior Applied Scientist to build these models from start to finish. You will contribute to designing the architecture, training at scale, and the optimization work that takes a model from training to running efficiently on production traffic. This optimization requires a deep understanding of the constraints imposed by both the software and the hardware, together with the applied mathematics to work within them: often it comes down to finding a mathematical reformulation that fits those constraints better, and that judgment can decide whether a model reaches production at all. The work involves a number of open questions. How do you obtain most of the quality of a large model from one that is far smaller and cheap enough to run on the full stream? Where is it worth trading exactness for speed, and how do you reason about the error you accept? How do you make a small model's outputs clear enough that the detection engineers and analysts who rely on it can trust what it reports? If these are the problems you want to work on, we would like to hear from you. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture: the relationships and collaboration it builds, and the creativity it bring

Datadog's Forward Deployed Engineering function is in an active growth phase, and the FDE Lead will play a central role in shaping what comes next. Working in close partnership with the Head of Datadog for Startups and Forward Deployed Engineers, and the existing FDE team, you will help define and expand the FDE framework, build out the structures and processes that allow the team to operate at scale, and extend the program's reach well beyond any single customer segment. This role sits at the rare intersection of sales, execution, program design, and hands-on engineering leadership. You are part field technical leader, part program architect, and part cross-functional connector. You will help determine what the FDE motion looks like at Datadog, contribute to its playbook, and push the boundaries of what the team can deliver. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds, and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. What You’ll Do: Evolve and scale the FDE operating model end to end: engagement intake, scoping, sprint delivery, handoff back to account teams, and the success metrics (time-to-value, adoption lift, ARR influence, NPS) and reporting infrastructure that support them. Build out a catalog of FDE offerings spanning observability quickstarts, custom integration development, LLM/AI observability accelerators, CI/CD pipeline instrumentation, and cost optimization deep dives, and contribute to their pricing and business models, including free-to-paid conversion plays, paid deployment packages, and post-deployment success motions. Capture product and feature gaps uncovered during deployments, translate them into structured prioritized briefs, and partner with PM and Engineering to strengthen the field-feedback channel that informs roadmap decisions on a regular cadence. Datadog is looking for a Senior Product Manager to help lead the evolution of our fleet and lifecycle management capability, the product surface that gives customers visibility into, and control over, the observability software running across their infrastructure. This capability manages the deployment lifecycle for core observability agents and OpenTelemetry collectors running on customer hosts and containers. The Senior PM will expand the scope of fleet capability to additional Datadog software components, making it the single place customers go to see everything running in their environment, at any version, in any deployment model, and to manage it remotely and safely at scale, for both human operators and, increasingly, AI agents acting on their behalf. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role. You'll partner with multiple engineering teams and be responsible for defining and delivering a coherent, unified fleet experience across UI, API, and MCP for customers. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds, and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. What You'll Do Own and evolve the product vision and roadmap for a unified fleet and lifecycle management capability spanning multiple product lines and deployment models. Define what "managed" means for each new software component as it's brought into fleet, balancing consistency of experience with the realities of each component's operational model. Drive a phased expansion plan, sequencing new components into fleet based on customer value, technical complexity, and dependency readiness.
