About the Team Security is at the foundation of OpenAI’s mission to ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. The Identity Infrastructure Engineering team sits at the core of this effort, designing and building the identity and access management solutions that protect our model weights, customer data, and critical systems across multiple cloud environments. We partner with teams across OpenAIβ€”Applied Engineering, Research, IT, and Securityβ€”to provide a secure and scalable platform for permissioning, orchestration, and innovative AI research. About the Role We’re looking for a Staff+ Software Engineer to help build and evolve the identity infrastructure that supports OpenAI’s research, engineering, and internal platforms. This role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, identity systems, and software engineering. You’ll work across production systems, infrastructure-as-code, cloud control planes, identity providers, and operational infrastructure to build secure, scalable, and reliable systems used broadly across the company. The ideal candidate has experience building and operating large-scale, mission-critical systems with strong reliability and security requirements, and is comfortable writing production code, designing distributed systems, and driving ambiguous projects from 0 to 1 while building the operational rigor needed to run critical infrastructure over time. In this role, you will: Lead the architecture, development, and operation of identity infrastructure that spans cloud platforms, internal systems, and critical engineering services. Design and evolve systems for authentication, authorization, access governance, auditability, and policy enforcement with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and secure-by-default design. Build foundational infrastructure and platform capabilities that are broadly used across engineering, research, and security teams. Improve the reliability, observability, performance, and op

At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset β€” who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done. Location Type: 3 Days in Menlo Park Office About the role We are an AI-first analytics team. We don't use AI to augment traditional BI workflows β€” we've replaced them. The Analytics team builds the intelligence layer that the Tax function under the CFO office runs on: AI agents that encode repeatable tax processes, Streamlit apps that surface real-time insight, semantic models that let any analyst query complex data in plain English, and workflow automations that collapse hours of manual work into a single prompt. Our primary development environment is CoCo (Cortex Code), Snowflake's AI coding assistant, and SnowWork , the AI IDE we ship work in. You will partner closely with Tax leadership to transform their function using AI. Every deliverable on this team is built AI-first: you design the workflow, you write the prompt, you validate the output. If you are still building dashboards by hand, refreshing Excel files manually, or treating AI as a spell-checker for your code β€” this role will ask you to operate differently. This is a high-breadth seat focused on unifying fragmented tax data, identifying high-risk areas, and automating compliance reporting to allow the Tax team to focus on decision-making and exception handling. One week you're building a new AI agent for tax ri

At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done. Snowflake's Data Engineering organization builds the platform that ingests, transforms, and stores data for modern lakehouse architectures β€” powering billions of queries, DML, and DDL operations with industry-leading price-performance. We lead the industry's shift to open data lakes through our work on Iceberg and Polaris, and we deliver capabilities like Snowpark, Dynamic Tables, cross-region replication, time travel, and zero-copy cloning at enterprise scale. We are investing in a new line of applied research β€” building toward verified data infrastructure and trustworthy data systems β€” that brings formal methods, automated reasoning, and modern AI techniques to bear on the hardest problems in our distributed systems and developer tooling. The goal is to improve correctness, reliability, and engineering velocity at a scale very few platforms operate at. We're hiring at both the Staff and Principal level; we'll calibrate the offer to the candidate's experience and scope of impact. What you'll do Lead research projects that apply formal methods, program analysis, automated reasoning, and AI-driven techniques (including code generation and modeling) to real problems in our cloud data platform. Translate research ideas into prototypes, then into shipped capabilities that move
