Asana
📍 San Francisco• Full-time
1mo ago

As Chief of Staff to the Chief Product Officer, you will be a force multiplier for Asana's product leadership team. This role helps the CPO run a high-functioning organization by translating priorities into an effective operating rhythm, keeping Product, Engineering, and Design aligned, and driving the key forums, communications, and strategic work that let leaders make better decisions faster. This is a high-trust, high-judgment role for someone who can move fluidly between strategic thinking and execution. You will own the cadence and connective tissue around the Office of the CPO: leadership meetings, board and planning materials, internal communications, cross-functional follow-through, and special projects that do not sit neatly within a single team. The role is especially important as the CPO's org now includes StackAI, Ecosystem Partnerships, and Data Science. You increase the CPO’s leverage by representing his priorities clearly, moving cross-functional work forward without him in the room, and imposing structure on messy, ambiguous situations. This role is not a head of operations, a gatekeeper, or a proxy product leader. It succeeds by increasing leadership leverage, organizational clarity, and decision quality across the product organization. This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements. What you’ll achieve Run the core operating rhythm for the Office of the CPO, including but not limited to CPO directs, R&D leadership, and product leads at executive meetings Drive high-quality preparation, agendas, decisions, and follow-through for leadership meetings so the right conversatio

Datadog
📍 New York• Full-time• From $276K/yr

The Dashboards product is Datadog's unified single-pane-of-glass for metrics, logs, and traces—a comprehensive treasure trove of observability data. We are transforming Dashboards into an AI-native control surface and the central hub where every team moves seamlessly from question to insight to action – providing a guided experience that feels like having an expert SRE at your side and ensuring the entry point is never an empty canvas. We're hiring a Staff Applied Scientist to define and guarantee the quality of this AI system at scale. "Good" isn't one number — it spans answer quality, tool-selection accuracy (critical given the growing catalog of data sources and visualizations), retrieval relevance, latency, token cost, and end-to-end agent success. The space is full of open questions. How do you evaluate an agent end-to-end when the trajectory is non-deterministic? How do you score tool selection when a user’s query can result in the agent making decisions against dozens of visualizations and data sources – both of which are growing month over month? How do you build a measurement system that catches regressions across all widget types and data sources (e.g., enforcing correct grouping, sorting, and time overrides), and is easy to use and extend by dozens of teams? If those are the problems you want to spend your time on, come build this with us. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. What You’ll Do: Own the evaluation strategy for Dashboards, as well as sister teams within our organization. Define the metrics — offline and online, quality and cost, single-turn and multi-turn — that the team and the broader organization optimize against. Build the eval datasets, golden traces, and regression harnesses that catch quality changes before they hit customers, an

About PostHog Product development used to mean manually writing code, running analysis, diagnosing bugs, and rolling out changes using dozens of tools. PostHog makes products self-driving . It's the only platform that acts like a co-pilot for you (and your AI agents) to do it all – autonomously. We started with open-source product analytics, launched out of Y Combinator's W20 cohort . We've since shipped more than a dozen products , including: PostHog Desktop , the only AI devtool that understands your product, not just your codebase. A built-in data warehouse , so users can query product and customer data together using custom SQL insights. PostHog AI , an AI-powered analyst that answers product questions, helps users find useful session recordings, and writes custom SQL queries. We are: Product-led . More than 450,000 organizations have installed PostHog, mostly driven by word-of-mouth. We have intensely strong product-market fit. Default alive . Revenue is growing incredibly quickly, and we're very efficient. We raise money to push ambition and grow faster, not to keep the lights on. Well-funded. We've raised more than $180m from some of the world's top investors. We're set up for a long, ambitious journey. We're focused on building an awesome product for end users, hiring exceptional teammates, shipping fast, and being as weird as possible . Things we care about Transparency: Everyone can read about our roadmap, how we pay (or even let go of) people, our strategy, and how we work, in our public company handbook . Internally, we share revenue, notes and slides from board meetings, and fundraising plans, so everyone has the context they need to make good decisions. Autonomy: We don’t tell anyone what to do. Everyone chooses what to work on next based on what's going to have the biggest impact on our customers, and what they find interesting and motivating to work on. Engineers lead product teams and make product decisions . Teams are flexible and easy to change wh

About Mixpanel Mixpanel is the leading product intelligence and analytics platform, trusted by more than 29,000 companies to help understand how people use the products they build. By combining powerful analytics with AI that knows your business, Mixpanel helps teams see what’s working, diagnose what’s not, and decide what to build next. Learn more at mixpanel.com . About the role At Mixpanel, we believe design excellence is a competitive moat. In a world where AI makes it easier than ever to ship, we believe the quality of the experience — how it feels, how it builds trust, how it handles complexity with grace — that separates good products from great ones. As a Staff Design Engineer at Mixpanel, you'll sit within the design organization and lead the transformation of our design system from a component library into something far more important: the infrastructure that powers how we design, build, and ship in an AI-native world. You'll encode our craft, standards, and vision directly into the systems, tools, and workflows that every designer, engineer, and AI agent in our org builds on. This isn't a maintenance or systems stewardship role. It's a transformative one. You'll work at the frontier of what design and engineering collaboration looks like when AI writes most of the code, agents prototype from intent, and the design system is less a library and more a living foundation for everything we ship. You'll be the designer who ships production code. The engineer who holds an uncompromising craft bar. The person who sees the future of how Mixpanel will look and behave in an AI-native world, and builds the infrastructure to make it real. What you'll do Build the infrastructure for an AI-native design practice Translate Mixpanel's design standards, principles, and taste into systems that live in the code. The Team + The Role Our Emerging Team is focused on building AI Products for our product experience (PX) platform. We build from the ground up to explore, prototype, and ship AI-native experiences that change how software teams understand and serve their users. This is not an AI layer added to existing product; it is a deliberate bet on what product intelligence looks like next. The team operates with high autonomy, moves quickly, and builds products without clear precedents. As a Staff Software Engineer (AI), you will sit at the intersection of deep technical capability and strong product judgment. You will design and build production-grade AI systems, including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and LLM-powered features, while making clear tradeoffs across prompting, fine-tuning, architecture, evaluation, and deployment. You will also partner closely with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to frame the right problems and communicate technical decisions clearly. This role is based in our New York office. What this looks like day-to-day Applied AI systems: Design and build AI-native systems, including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and LLM-powered product features. You will take ideas from prototype through production and ensure they can support real users. Model strategy: Make principled decisions about when to prompt, when to fine-tune, and when to use a different technical approach entirely. You will explain those tradeoffs clearly to engineers and non-engineers. Evaluation and guardrails: Instrument and evaluate model outputs rigorously by defining evaluation frameworks and identifying hallucinations early. You will implement guardrails that hold up under real-world usage and load. Productionize AI ownership: Own model deployment, monitoring, latency optimization, cost management, and reliability at scale. You will ensure AI systems are observable, performant, and production-ready. Full-stack delivery: Contribute across the stack when needed to get
