Amplitude's Cloud Platform team builds the systems that every Amplitude engineer relies on every day to ship code — and we're rebuilding them for the AI era. As a Staff Platform Engineer, you'll set technical direction for the platform across teams, lead our highest-complexity and highest-leverage initiatives, and shape a platform where AI agents are first-class users alongside humans: kicking off deploys, opening pull requests against infrastructure, and triaging incidents, so a single engineer can get the throughput of a team. You'll operate across team boundaries — partnering with product engineering, fellow Staff+ engineers, and engineering leadership to make Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure effortless across the entire engineering org. You'll build the self-service automation, shared standards, and scalable AWS and GCP infrastructure that let dozens of product teams ship faster, safer, and with less cognitive load — and you'll multiply the engineers around you while you do it. Key Responsibilities Set technical direction — shape platform and domain-level technical strategy that improves developer experience, reliability, security, and cost, and lead the high-complexity, cross-cutting initiatives that deliver it with measurable impact for the organization. Drive clarity through ambiguity. Take on the most loosely-defined problems, validate the critical assumptions early, and create alignment with stakeholders across teams so others can move quickly and confidently — driving cross-team decisions to a timely close and escalating when needed. Build the AI-augmented platform. Design org-wide tooling, guardrails, and policy-as-code that help every engineer get more out of AI-assisted development — infra primitives an LLM can safely reason about and PR against, automated review, and standards that hold as AI changes how code gets written. Own Infrastructure-as-Code standards for Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP using Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, and emerging tooling — setti

About the Role We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help advance Amplitude's AI products and the foundations they're built on. You'll identify where AI creates the most leverage, build the systems that deliver it, and establish the patterns that let the rest of the company build faster on top of your work. About the Role & Team We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Delivery and SDK team within Statsig at Amplitude. This team builds the systems that connect developers to Statsig and safely deliver product experiences to end users around the world. The team owns two foundational areas: Delivery: The globally distributed systems that evaluate Experiments and Feature Gates and deliver the resulting experiences to end users. These systems sit directly in the critical path of our customers’ applications, making availability, scale, correctness, and latency essential. SDKs: More than 30 SDKs spanning web, mobile, server, edge, TV, gaming, and emerging platforms. Our goal is to meet developers wherever they build and give them an ergonomic, reliable way to integrate Statsig into any application or technology stack. This is a uniquely broad technical leadership role. You’ll work across distributed systems, mobile platforms, server runtimes, edge environments, and developer tooling—sometimes all in the same week. We’re looking for a hands-on, technically versatile leader who enjoys moving between technologies, learning unfamiliar systems, and solving problems across abstraction boundaries. You don’t need to be the world’s foremost expert in a single language or platform. You do need the curiosity and technical judgment to work effectively across many of them—and the ability to build a team that can make a complex, polyglot ecosystem feel simple and dependable to developers. What You’ll Do Lead and grow the team responsible for Statsig’s global delivery infrastructure and ecosystem of 30+ SDKs. Leading a team of 8-10 team members Define the technical strategy for highly available, low-latency evaluation and delivery systems operating at global scale. Make Statsig exceptionally easy to adopt by continuously improving SDK ergonomics, performance, reliability, consistency, and documentation. Expand our SDK coverage as new languages, frameworks, runtimes, and comp
Software Engineer II, Growth at Amplitude (View all jobs) San Francisco Bay Area About The Role & Team The Growth organization is focused on helping users realize long-term value from Amplitude. The team plays a critical role in that journey by driving expansion within existing accounts. Many of our customers start with just a few users — often in product or data teams. Our job is to unlock value for everyone else. We build features that help new users set up, get activated, leverage AI for frictionless insights, highlight relevant parts of the product they might otherwise miss, and expand usage across teams and departments. This is especially impactful in large, complex organizations, where getting from the first few users to broad adoption is a multiplier for retention and revenue. We work across Amplitude’s core product suite and integrations, partnering closely with Product, Design, and GTM. We ship fast, test often, and use data to guide what we build and where we invest. Our work touches activation, feature adoption, habit formation, and expansion — the entire lifecycle of turning someone from a new user into a loyal advocate. This is a role for a product-minded engineer who wants to own meaningful projects end-to-end and help shape the strategy and systems behind how customers adopt Amplitude. As a Software Engineer on Growth, you will: Design and build product features that drive activation, engagement, and cross-team expansion Work across the full stack using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and GraphQL Build experiences that improve user onboarding, feature discovery, and product education Create third party connections, allowing other products to integrate with Amplitude Collaborate with Product, Design, GTM, and other engineers to prioritize and deliver impact Use data to identify opportunities and measure outcomes Leverage AI coding tools to speed up development while staying grounded in system understanding Improve the quality, reliability, and maintain
About the Role & Team We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Data Infrastructure team within Statsig Experiment at Amplitude. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists responsible for the systems that power experimentation at scale. The team owns three critical areas: Data ingestion: Collecting and importing experiment exposures, custom events, OpenTelemetry data, and real user monitoring data across SDKs, streaming systems, cloud storage, and customer data warehouses. Data computation: Building distributed computation systems that transform raw data into accurate, timely experiment results. Stats engine: Developing and productionizing the statistical methods that help customers make trustworthy decisions from their experiments. This is not a traditional data engineering management role. We are looking for a leader with a solid data science and statistical foundation who can connect advances in experimentation methodology with scalable production systems. You will help set our technical and scientific direction, translating new statistical methods and machine learning research into capabilities that customers can use reliably at scale. You’ll partner closely with data scientists, engineers, product managers, and customers to advance the state of experimentation. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable discussing causal inference and statistical power with data scientists, distributed computation architectures with engineers, and experimentation strategy with customers. What You’ll Do Lead and grow the team responsible for Statsig’s data ingestion, experiment computation, and stats engine. Define the technical and scientific strategy for advancing experimentation across both Statsig Cloud and warehouse-native deployments. Partner with data scientists and engineers to turn new statistical and causal inference methods into scalable, reliable product capabilities. Evolve our data and computatio

Amplitude is moving fast, from product analytics to an AI-native platform with agents embedded across the product, used by over 4,700 companies. We are looking for a strong design leader with a builder mindset to lead a 15-person design team through the next phase of growth. This is a player-coach role . You manage and grow the team. You also stay in the actual work: elevating quality through feedback, pairing with designers on the hardest UX puzzles, and asking the right questions to unlock the crux of the problem. You'll know every product surface well enough to raise its quality — even if you don't own any single one end-to-end. Designers are embedded in autonomous pods and need to keep shipping fast. Maintaining speed without compromising on coherence and quality is the job. If that tension sounds like an exciting problem to solve rather than a contradiction to complain about, keep reading. What you'll do Build the team. Hire, grow, and retain a high-performing design team, identifying people who will thrive and raise the bar at Amplitude. Develop them through direct, specific feedback. Help someone who's stuck get moving again. Set direction. Drive the design strategy for Amplitude's product suite: Core Amplitude, Statsig, and Wave (a proactive agent that helps teams build self-improving products). Help define how agents and humans work together in the same workflows. Champion craft. Strong visual design builds trust, clarity, and delight in the era of AI. Lead by example, elevating the quality of the product through exceptional design execution. Hold a high bar. AI makes it cheap to ship UI changes, which makes it easy for quality to erode quietly. Set a clear standard for what good looks like and enforce it without becoming an approval bottleneck. Stay in production. You believe that “the design” is what ships. Code is the material that brings the design to life. Push on the details, the papercuts, the edge cases. Speak for the customer. Show up in leadership
