About the team The APAC & EMEA Cards team powers the processing of hundreds of billions of dollars in card payments annually, enabling users to accept card payments from Asia Pacific, Europe, and Middle East regions. As the Engineering Manager for the team, you’ll have responsibility for expanding the reach of Stripe’s global payments network, delivering the best-in-class experience for card payments in these regions. In this role, you’ll be making some of the most significant strategic, product, and technical decisions for card payments at Stripe. The systems this team builds enables our users to create a single integration with Stripe, then take payments across an ever-expanding set of card networks and grow their businesses globally. About the team The Payments organization owns some of Stripe's most critical payment flows and a platform that processes hundreds of billions of dollars in payments a year. Our team is responsible for translating complex partner specifications related to network costs (interchange and scheme fees) into simplified logic for internal and external consumption. This also drives decisions and product recommendations to manage the underlying network costs paid by Stripe and our users. The team partners closely with the engineering, product, finance, and partnership groups to manage and understand Stripe's network costs. Our work is core to Stripe's business, as Technical Operations roles in Payments are a dynamic and key component of Stripe's success. About the Team At OpenAI, our Trust, Safety & Risk Operations teams safeguard our products, users, and the company from abuse, fraud, scams, regulatory non-compliance, and other emerging risks. The Global Safety Response Operations team within the org provides 24/7 coverage for user safety, risk, and regulatory escalations across OpenAI’s products, handling the highest-priority cases that require human judgment and rapid response. The team operates as the core escalations management and delivery arm of OpenAI’s safety operations, ensuring that our products remain safe and aligned with our policies while enabling timely, empathetic, and consistent user support. About the Role We’re looking for experienced Trust, Safety, and Risk Operations analysts who have subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas: policy enforcement and content moderation, fraud and scam prevention, developer risk, or privacy and regulatory escalations. You’ll be on the front lines of safety escalation management, helping to triage and resolve urgent and sensitive cases.
