We are a global technology company headquartered in Toronto with key offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul. Join us! Role Overview: Building AI agents that can assist with any kind of enterprise work is a challenging, open-ended problem. One key piece of solving it is replicating real work environments as realistically as possible - filling them with hard tasks to solve, creating plausible input data, and defining clear rewards for completing the work the right way. We build many of these reinforcement learning (RL) environments, then drop our agents into them to evaluate or train them. In this role, you are responsible for creating these RL environments, running AI agents inside them, and improving both the agents and the environments in the process. The results reach customers, whose feedback feeds back in - and the agent/environment improvement loop continues. Key Responsibilities: There are many open problems in this space. As a Member of Technical Staff, RL Environments, you will: Build new RL environments targeting different agentic capabilities and industry areas Train and evaluate agents in those environments Make all the pieces work together: tasks, data, tool implementations, and verifiers Work across modeling and product to identify

About the Team Security is at the foundation of OpenAI’s mission to ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. The Threat Intelligence team protects OpenAI’s technology, people, research, and infrastructure by proactively identifying and disrupting adversaries who seek to compromise our systems or misuse our models. We investigate sophisticated threats, build tooling to scale and augment analysis, and deliver intelligence that shapes security strategy and equips leadership with timely, risk-aware insights. We combine technical depth, investigative rigor, and strong cross-functional partnerships to uncover threats and drive impact across OpenAI’s security and research organizations. About the Role As a Technical Threat Investigator at OpenAI, you will help protect the company from sophisticated adversaries targeting OpenAI and the broader ecosystem, as well as those attempting to misuse our models in support of cyber operations. This is a deeply investigative role. You will independently conduct complex, end-to-end investigations into capable threat actors to understand their behavior, infrastructure, emerging techniques, and how AI is integrated into their workflows. About Ema Ema is building the world’s leading Agentic AI platform to transform enterprise productivity. We enable organizations to delegate repetitive tasks to Ema, the Universal AI Employee, delivering 10x gains in workforce efficiency, across functions. Founded by former executives from Google, Coinbase, Flipkart, and Okta, our team includes engineers from premier tech companies and graduates of Stanford, MIT, UC Berkeley, CMU, and IITs. We are backed by industry leading investors including Accel, Naspers/Prosus, Section32, and angels like Sheryl Sandberg and Dustin Moskovitz. Headquartered in Silicon Valley and with offices in London, Bangalore and Vancouver, Ema is at the frontier of what Agentic AI can do in production — we ship real systems that run real business processes at scale. The role “The ideal forward deployed builder is a composite. Not a software engineer, not a product manager, not a solutions architect or a salesperson — but able to draw on any of these to solve the customer’s problems, in the customer’s building, on the customer’s timeline, against the customer’s data.” Ema is building the Universal Agentic Control Plane — the layer where enterprises turn messy, human-run business processes into AI Employees that actually do the work. The platform is powerful. The bottleneck is people who can walk into a customer’s world, see what should be automated, and make it real. That’s this role. We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Builder to embed inside our customers and partners, find the highest-value opportunities for agentic automation, solution them, build the demo, win the deal, and then stay to implement it in production. You go in alone, Rambo in the jungle, armed with your wits, your skills, and the most powerful agentic platform on the market. We’ll train you hard before you deploy. After that, the territory is yours. This is not a support role behind an account team. You are the account team, the solutions architect, and the builder, compress
