About Ramp Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books. The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving. We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome. The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same. If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it. About the Role The Money Platform, International team builds the infrastructure that powers Ramp's expansion into global markets. We handle international payments, multi-currency operations, and compliance with regional requirements — the foundational platform that enables Ramp to serve customers beyond the US. International expansion is core to Ramp's growth strategy, and this team directly unlocks it. We work at the intersection of greenfield and scale: launching new markets from 0 to 1 while maturing the systems that already run. The platform we build handles cross-border payments, multi-currency accounting, and integrations with international banking rails — giving every other team a reliable foundation to build on. What You'll Do Build payment infrastructure that works across multiple countries, currencies, and regulatory regimes Design multi-currency accounting and reconciliation systems at scale Integrate with international banking systems and payment rails (SEPA, BACS, and SWIFT) Take on both 0-1 work (launching new markets) and 1-N work (sc

About Ema Ema is building the world’s leading Agentic AI platform to transform enterprise productivity. We enable organizations to delegate repetitive tasks to Ema, the Universal AI Employee, delivering 10x gains in workforce efficiency, across functions. Founded by former executives from Google, Coinbase, Flipkart, and Okta, our team includes engineers from premier tech companies and graduates of Stanford, MIT, UC Berkeley, CMU, and IITs. We are backed by industry leading investors including Accel, Naspers/Prosus, Section32, and angels like Sheryl Sandberg and Dustin Moskovitz. Headquartered in Silicon Valley and with offices in London, Bangalore and Vancouver, Ema is at the frontier of what Agentic AI can do in production — we ship real systems that run real business processes at scale. The Role You'll be an engineer who builds AI agents in production, sitting close to the customers who depend on them. This is a full-stack engineering job with an unusually short distance between your code and someone's actual workday. You'll write Go and Python, design schemas, build evals, and present your solution to a senior executive at an enterprise - often in the same week. What You'll Do Design and ship production agents. You'll build agents that are mission-critical from day one: embedded in Teams, Slack, intranets, voice lines, and email, taking real actions against SAP, ServiceNow, Workday, and a long tail of systems nobody has heard of. These run at enterprise volume under enterprise scrutiny. Own the full lifecycle. Discovery, build, eval, launch, and the unglamorous months afterward where an agent goes from good to genuinely reliable. Work directly with the people whose problem it is. You'll sit with leaders at global enterprises, extract the process from their heads, and decide what should be an agent, what should be a workflow, and what should stay human. Push your work back into the platform. The best patterns you find in the field become part of Ema's core product

You’ll play a leading role within a collaborative product engineering team, owning complex features end to end, contributing to design and architectural decisions, supporting production systems, and helping raise the bar across backend, cloud, and AI-assisted development workflows. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do, not all of it, just the important stuff: Own and deliver complex backend services and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS , from technical design through release and production support. Contribute to design and architecture discussions, making pragmatic decisions that balance delivery speed, maintainability, scalability, and security. Mentor and support less experienced engineers through code reviews, pairing, technical guidance, and day-to-day collaboration. Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across the team to turn requirements into practical, reliable solutions. Use AI tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, research, and documentation, while validating outputs carefully and applying sound judgment. Strengthen service reliability, observability, and engineering quality by improving monitoring, incident response, testing, and development practices. These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview: 5 to 8 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems in an agile environment. Strong backend development s
