About the Team Enterprise Verticals builds role-specific ChatGPT Work experiences for high-value enterprise workflows. We combine product engineering, plugins and skills, connectors, data, evaluations, and customer evidence to turn useful demos into reliable daily work. This opening sits within the Technology vertical inside Enterprise Verticals. The group focuses on repeatable workflows for people at technology companies, beginning with functions such as data and analytics, sales, and design, and carries the shared platform needs—tool integration, permissions, quality measurement, and safe rollout—across those experiences. We work closely with Design, Research, GTM, Security, and platform teams, as well as with customers and design partners. Success means that people can reach a trustworthy first result, understand what the system did, and keep using the workflow—not merely that a prototype exists. About the Role We are looking for a full-stack product engineer who can own ambiguous enterprise workflows end to end: understand a customer problem, shape the product, build across frontend and backend, work through platform dependencies, instrument quality, and learn quickly with design partners. You will build across ChatGPT Work surfaces, services, plugins, connectors, and data or permission boundaries when the experience requires it. You will make quality and rollout observable through evaluations, product and operational signals, and clear fallback or rollback paths. This is a product-engineering role for someone who can move between user problems and system details without losing ownership of either. The strongest candidates will be able to turn specific customer evidence into a generalizable product, explain scope and architecture tradeoffs, and carry a feature from an early prototype through a bounded production rollout. In this role, you will: Build and ship role-specific workflows across ChatGPT Work surfaces, services, plugins, and connectors. Turn customer a
About the Team OpenAI's mission is to ensure that AGI benefits all of humanity. The Business Systems team helps make that mission possible by building the internal products and platforms that allow OpenAI to operate with speed, reliability, and care. We build internal applications and workflows for Finance and Supply Chain. Our work spans product discovery, React and TypeScript interfaces, Python services and APIs, data models, workflow orchestration, enterprise integrations, and the systems that connect people to systems of record. We work directly with the people who use these products and care about correctness, permissions, auditability, and production reliability. Examples of our work include building an integration platform for supply chain integrations, integrations with Oracle Fusion and Zip, contract intelligence applied to B2B revenue recognition, and Temporal-based agentic workflows for credit checks, duplicate bank detection, and invoice triaging. We turn these efforts into reusable patterns that can support many workflows, rather than one-off automations. About the Role We are looking for Product Engineers to build internal applications end to end. This role spans product discovery, user experience, frontend, backend services, data models, workflow orchestration, and integrations with order management, fulfillment, and supply chain systems. You will take a problem from a first conversation with a Finance or Supply Chain partner through design, implementation, rollout, and production support. Strong candidates combine product judgment with engineering depth. You should be comfortable moving between a React interface, a Python API, a durable workflow, and an integration with an enterprise system. You should be able to ship a useful first version quickly while building the foundations for reuse, security, and long-term maintainability. Direct AI experience is helpful, but the core requirement is strong product engineering judgment and reliable execution. I
About the team Special Situations at OpenAI is the company’s commercial engine for its most complex and consequential opportunities. The team operates where new verticals, partnership models, and customer motions must be invented, before a repeatable GTM or delivery playbook exists, by bringing together product, research, engineering, and GTM leaders around a single outcome. Many of these efforts begin as “new bets” (new verticals, new customer motions, new partnership models) and mature into repeatable ways of working that shape how OpenAI operates at scale. The team acts as a force-multiplier for the company by accelerating decision-making, aligning stakeholders, and converting complex opportunities into durable results. About the role We’re hiring a Deal Lead, Special Situations to help stand up new vertical bets, with a particular focus on partnership development in the semiconductor industry. You will identify where AI can create step-change value for semiconductor companies and ecosystem partners, originate and shape multi-project programs with FDEs and applied researchers, package them into compelling commercial proposals, and execute creative, complex partnerships while keeping executives and cross-functional teams tightly aligned. This role is especially focused on building strategic partnerships in semiconductors. You do not need to be a technical engineer, but you do need to be able to speak the language of the semiconductor industry, build credibility quickly with technical and business stakeholders, and come up the learning curve fast on industry dynamics, workflows, and constraints. A key part of the role is crafting deals with semiconductor companies that demonstrate our unique competitive advantages. To do this effectively, you will need to develop a strong point of view on the market, understand the competitive landscape, and clearly articulate OpenAI’s differentiated value and strategic advantage. Special Situations owns the overall success of each
About the Team OpenAI’s mission is to build safe artificial general intelligence (AGI) that benefits all of humanity. Achieving this requires bringing the world’s most exceptional talent under one roof to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Our Research Recruiting team plays a critical role in this effort. We are an embedded part of the research organization—working side by side with our research staff to deeply understand evolving priorities, build trust, and strategically shape the future of OpenAI’s talent. About the Role We are looking for a highly strategic recruiter to work closely with the Head of Research Recruiting on a small set of unusually important, high-touch searches and candidate relationships.
