About the Team The Artifacts team is building the AI-native creation layer for documents, spreadsheets, slide decks, dashboards, reports, analyses, and new forms of interactive work products. We are rethinking what creation looks like when models can move from an ambiguous user goal to a polished, editable artifact with strong structure, taste, correctness, and speed. This is a high-agency team working across product, infrastructure, and research. We partner closely with model training teams to shape how frontier models create artifacts, and with ChatGPT product teams to turn those capabilities into experiences that millions of people can use. The work spans full-stack product engineering, model integration, rendering and editing systems, collaboration, storage, evaluation loops, and production reliability. Our ambition is to build the premier product experience for AI-generated artifacts: starting with familiar work products like slides, sheets, and docs, then expanding into new artifact types that are only possible in an AI-native world. About the Role As Engineering Manager, Artifacts, you will lead and grow the engineering team responsible for building this product and technical foundation. You will manage a team of full-stack and infrastructure-oriented engineers, set technical direction, and stay hands-on enough to shape architecture and debug hard problems. This role sits at the intersection of product engineering, research, and infrastructure. You will partner with researchers on how models are trained and evaluated for artifact creation, with product and design on the user experience. This is a strong fit for a technical manager who wants to build and ship, not only coordinate. The team has a fast trajectory, so you will help define both the product surface and the team that builds it. In this role, you will: Lead, manage, and grow a team building AI-native artifact creation experiences across documents, spreadsheets, slide decks, and emerging artifact form

About the Team Like every team at OpenAI, the Marketing team contributes to our broader mission of ensuring responsible and widespread adoption of AI. With that aim in mind, we are responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and usage for OpenAI’s products and platform amongst our core audiences. We take a data-driven approach to understand our customers' needs and challenges, ensuring that their voices are reflected in product development and messaging. We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Washington D.C., London and Amsterdam. Plaid Protect is a real-time fraud intelligence product built on a unique advantage: Plaid’s network-level visibility across bank accounts, devices, identities, sessions, institutions, applications, and financial behavior. Protect helps customers detect first-party fraud, synthetic identities, account takeovers, and coordinated attacks that are difficult to see from a single application, account, or transaction. Trust Index turns that fraud intelligence into real-time fraud scores and actionable attributes. This team builds the systems that make this intelligence possible: low-latency inference, new data and model integrations, customer-facing APIs and attributes, safe rollouts, and feedback loops. Ti3 expanded Plaid’s fraud graph nearly 10x and, in early testing, detected up to 41% more fraud at the same false-positive rate. Learn more about Ti2 and Ti3 . We are a small, high-agency team working closely with Product, Data Science, and Machine Learning. We value demos over docs, conviction over consensus/alignment, builder schedule over meeting-heavy calendars. We’re scrappy and a talent-dense team that has high agency and high ownership. As a Staff Software Engineer on the Protect Core team, you wi
What you’ll do Be the generalist EE for the scanner system: integration, bring-up, debugging, and making the electrical side of the device reliable and serviceable. Own ultrasound experimentations that feeds the image reconstruction team Design and execute experiment setups for transducer characterization (element sensitivity, bandwidth, cross-talk mapping, beam profile measurements) and ex vivo / phantom clinical testing. Acquire, process, and analyze RF and baseband signals for data quality assessment and benchmarking. Design simple boards and adapters as needed (monitoring, power/safety, interface/conditioning), and take them from prototype through a stable revision. Prototype quickly, then harden what works: wiring/harnessing, grounding, safety interlocks, and reliable integration across subsystems. Own practical test setups and documentation (fixtures, scripts, procedures) that make experiments repeatable and results comparable over time. What we’re looking for Strong hands-on EE background with experience building, debugging, and iterating on real systems in the lab. Solid understanding of signal processing fundamentals — knows what to measure, how to condition and digitize it, and how to evaluate signal quality in the context of an imaging system (SNR, bandwidth, dynamic range, artifacts). Comfortable spanning system integration + occasional design work (schematics/layout reviews or light PCB design) in a fast-moving environment. Ability to work at the boundary between hardware and algorithms: measure reality, communicate constraints, and help close gaps vs simulation. High agency and practicality: able to set up experiments, get trustworthy data, and unblock others on a lean team. Useful experience Analog/mixed-signal, or high-speed data capture experience; strong instincts for instrumentation and noise/debugging. Ultrasound or acoustic sensor handling: hydrophone calibration and field mapping, transducer impedance characterization, element-level sensitivity
About the Team API Agents builds the shared agent harness, tools, and infrastructure that turn OpenAI’s frontier models into systems that can reliably complete real work. We carry the capabilities behind Codex into a much broader set of products and workflows across software engineering, research, finance, healthcare, enterprise operations, and more. Our work spans search and connected context, computer use, memory, delegation and multi-agent coordination, and safe execution. Sitting at the intersection of Research, Codex, infrastructure, and applied product teams, we build reusable agent capabilities that compound across the ecosystem. About the Role We are looking for an experienced backend software engineer to build the core systems behind the next generation of agents. You will design reliable services and abstractions that help agents find the right context, use tools and computers, retain knowledge, coordinate over long-running workflows, and take action safely. The role combines deep backend and infrastructure work with strong product judgment, with opportunities to work across agent runtimes, orchestration, search, execution environments, identity and permissions, observability, and evaluations. This is software and systems engineering rather than model training: success comes from strong backend fundamentals, high agency, and the ability to turn fast-moving research capabilities into dependable production primitives. In this role, you will: Design, build, and operate the shared agent harness and backend infrastructure that power long-running, high-value workflows across OpenAI and third-party products.
