About the Team OpenAI’s Forward Deployed Engineering team partners with healthcare organizations to deploy production AI systems across clinical, operational, and member-facing workflows. We work at the boundary of customer deployment and core platform development, using customer engagements to define repeatable architectures, evaluations, integrations, and operating standards for complex, regulated healthcare environments. About the Role We are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to own end-to-end deployments of our models within healthcare organizations, including payers, providers, health systems, and healthcare technology companies. You will lead technical discovery, architecture, implementation, evaluation, productionization, and handoff, translating complex customer workflows, data, infrastructure, and regulatory constraints into production AI systems. You will measure success through production adoption, measurable workflow impact, and evaluation loops that establish customer-specific benchmarks, acceptance criteria, and launch readiness. You’ll collaborate directly with customer technical and operational teams, alongside internal Business, Research, Product, Engineering, and Security partners, to deliver solutions and translate deployment learnings into product improvements. This role owns the technical solution; ownership of the commercial or executive relationship is not required. This role is based in San Francisco. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week. We offer relocation assistance. Travel up to 50% is required. In this role, you will: Own the technical solution end to end, from customer discovery and workflow scoping through architecture, hands-on implementation, evaluation, production deployment, adoption, and handoff. Partner credibly with customer engineers, operators, and domain experts to frame ambiguous problems, define scope, and translate payer, provider, or health-system workflows into technical requirements and mea

By co-designing chips, systems, tools, and methodologies, the team helps deliver faster, more efficient, and production-ready hardware for OpenAI’s supercomputing platform. Role Overview We are seeking a Package Reliability Engineer to lead reliability engineering for advanced packages used in high-performance AI and computing systems. The primary focus of this role is to assess package level mechanical and thermal reliability risks and apply thermal and mechanical modeling to optimize package design, material selection, and assembly processes. The engineer will also develop reliability test plans with external partners, identify failure mechanisms, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend practical corrective actions. In this role, you will assess package reliability risks from early architecture development through product qualification and high-volume manufacturing. You will work closely with package design, silicon design, system engineering, manufacturing, and ASIC partners to predict package behavior, develop qualification strategies, resolve reliability issues, and improve overall package robustness and lifetime. In this role you will: Lead reliability test plan and assessments for advanced HPC packages, including risk identification, potential failure-mechanism analysis, root-cause investigation, mitigation planning, and corrective-action development. Drive reliability-focused package design optimization based on thermo-mechanical modeling to improve package reliability, power integrity, thermal performance, mechanical robustness, and platform scalability. About the Role We’re rolling out Go support at production scale at Notion, and we need an owner who can make it durable. You’ll lead the work to turn Go into a fully supported, well-operated platform: reliable and scalable service patterns, paved paths for our tooling stack, and the guardrails that make building in Go feel fast and safe. This role matters because our next wave of AI and agent-driven products will require backend services where Node won’t always be the right fit, and the platform decisions we make now will compound for years. While Go is the core focus, this role sits within Developer Experience and will regularly tackle other high-leverage engineering productivity challenges, developer experience ranging from AI-assisted development workflows and remote agent environments to CI performance, deployments, and reliability tooling.
