ABOUT BASETEN Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F , led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to to ship AI products. THE ROLE Baseten is seeking talented and experienced Software Engineers to join our Platform team within the Infrastructure organization. As a senior member of Baseten's Platform Team, you will own the systems that let every engineer at Baseten prove their code works before it reaches production. Our product runs mission-critical AI inference for customers who measure downtime in dollars per second, which means our internal bar for correctness, performance, and failure tolerance has to be exceptional. Your focus is the full testing stack: fast and reliable unit test tooling, integration harnesses that spin up realistic environments on demand, load and performance testing for GPU-backed inference workloads, and resilience testing that deliberately breaks things so our customers never have to find out what happens when a node dies mid-request. This is a builder role with org-wide leverage. You won't be writing tests for other teams — you'll be building the frameworks, harnesses, and feedback loops that make writing good tests the path of least resistance, and you'll set the standards for what "well-tested" means at Baseten. RESPONSIBILITIES Own Baseten's testing strategy end to end — define the standards, the tiers, and the tooling that engineering teams build against. Build and maintain unit, integration, load and performance testing frameworks Design end to end test infrastructure that provisions realistic dependencies

About the Team OpenAI is a frontier AI research and deployment company. Frontier research is at the center of how we advance our mission, with researchers, engineers, product leaders, operators, and many other teams working together to turn new capabilities into systems that benefit humanity. The People team helps OpenAI attract, engage, and support the exceptional talent this work requires. Employer Brand sits at the intersection of Research, Recruiting, Communications, Marketing, and Brand. Its mandate is to continue to establish OpenAI in the talent market as the unique and leading frontier research lab—not simply another technology company—and make our distinctive research environment, mission, culture, and opportunity for impact relevant and tangible to every priority talent audience. About the Role We’re hiring an Employer Brand Manager to build and scale the strategy, narrative, and operating system that shape how priority talent understands OpenAI. This senior individual contributor will anchor our employer brand in OpenAI’s identity as a frontier research lab and translate an evidence-backed “why OpenAI / why now” narrative into campaigns, researcher and employee stories, recruiter and hiring manager enablement, and candidate experiences. This role is especially important as OpenAI competes for exceptional talent across research, engineering, product, and other mission-critical functions in a fast-moving field where external perceptions can be incomplete or change quickly. You will develop a clear, credible talent narrative for priority audiences—anchored in frontier research and substantiated by individual agency, world-class infrastructure, research-to-product translation, deployment scale, and a willingness to answer hard questions candidly. This role is responsible for ensuring the external brand resembles our culture and ethos internally, therefore must remain immersed in various OpenAI research and applied branches. This role is based in San Francisco
About the Team The Cooperative AI team is scaling to devices and embedded operations and user experiences. Our model-powered scaled workforce and knowledge system are moving on to the edge and powering our devices and edge experiences. By leveraging OpenAI’s state-of-the-art models and technologies, in production and in the lab, we develop systems that reason and work autonomously with customers and with our workforce responsible for operational work. We carry real workloads for critical systems across finance, sales, customer support, integrity, product insights, internal operations, and now devices to drive insights into product and industry. We partner closely with internal teams and external customers globally, operating in a hyper-fast feedback loop where many of our users are just a few steps away. This proximity allows us to iterate quickly, validate impact in real time, and accelerate industry impacting learnings and systems builds. We are a highly multidisciplinary, self-contained team focused on transforming the workplace via smart systems, knowledge, scalable and reliable primitives that apply world-class AI capabilities across domains. Our mission is to learn fast and transform how humans collaborate with AI at scale. About the Role We are looking for a Technical Lead Manager to lead a team of engineers building AI-native embedded experiences and operations-forward systems. In this role, you will perform both hands-on technical leadership and small team management. You will drive business outcomes, architecture and technical strategy for complex systems, contribute directly to implementation, and help grow a high-performing team. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand operational challenges, identify high-leverage opportunities for automation, and deliver solutions that create measurable impact. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys moving between technical design, coding, mentoring engineers, and working directly with users t
