NVIDIA is seeking a Senior System Architect: Heterogeneous EDA Systems to solve a complex challenge in accelerated computing: Failure Attribution at Scale. As EDA or equivalent experience workloads scale across thousands of heterogeneous nodes, a single failure can cause massive resource waste. We need an engineer to develop and build an automated framework. This framework will ingest telemetry from CPU and GPU clusters to identify the root cause of job failures in real-time. It will distinguish between hardware faults, infrastructure instability, and software defects. What you'll be doing: Architect Failure Attribution Frameworks: Build a scalable "flight recorder" for EDA jobs that captures high-fidelity state across the CPU, GPU, and Fabric at the moment of failure. Build automated diagnostics that correlate GPU XID errors, PCIe bus failures, and CUDA memory exceptions. Connect these errors with system-level events such as OOM kills or NUMA-related hangs. Distributed Logging & Tracing: Implement low-overhead tracing mechanisms (using tracing tools or custom agents) that provide access to job execution across multi-node Slurm or Kubernetes clusters. Root Cause Automation: Develop heuristics and models based on machine learning to classify failures as "Hardware Fault," "Software Bug," or "Environment Issue." This reduces the Mean Time to Identify (MTTI) for R&D teams. Resiliency Engineering: Work closely with hardware and infrastructure teams to define "signals of impending failure," enabling proactive job migration or check-pointing before a crash occurs. What we need to see: Distributed Systems Mastery: BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience) with 6+ years in systems programming. We are looking for a CPU Performance Modeling Architect to help evaluate, shape, and optimize the performance of future CPU architectures. In this role, you’ll use performance modeling, workload analysis, and deep understanding of CPU architecture to answer complex questions about how a processor should be designed. You’ll work closely with CPU architects, RTL designers, software and compiler teams, and system engineers to identify performance opportunities, evaluate architectural tradeoffs, and turn modeling insights into actionable design decisions. This role is hybrid, based out of Santa Clara, CA or Austin, TX. We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting. About the Team The Agent Safety team works to ensure that increasingly capable AI agents act safely, exercise sound judgment, and remain aligned with user intent. Our mission is to reduce the probability of severe unintended outcomes from increasingly capable AI agents while preserving their ability to act effectively and autonomously. Our work spans three areas: Training: Create training methods, environments and data that teach agents to make better decisions in consequential situations. We turn real-world failures into training signals that prevent similar incidents, and identify precursor behaviors and mitigations to address emerging risks. Measurements: Build evaluations and production metrics that identify emerging risks and measure whether our interventions work. Oversight : Develop oversight and system mitigation mechanisms that reduce harmful actions while preserving useful agent autonomy (for example future versions of auto-review ). About the Role This role focuses on oversight and system-level mitigations that enable increasingly capable agents to operate safely and autonomously in real environments. We prioritize building oversight systems that are used in practice today, both internally and externally (see our recent work on action monitoring for codex and former code review ). We also study longer-term questions about how increasingly capable agentis systems can be supervised, constrained, and corrected. We’re looking for a safety&security minded researcher or engineer who can reason rigorously about security boundaries and agent behavior, then build and test practical mitigations. A background in AI control or security is welcome but not required. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Design, build, and evaluate system-level controls for agent actions like agent-based review. Plan how they fit in a broader syste
About the Team The Interpretability team studies internal representations of deep learning models. We are interested in using representations to understand model behavior, and in engineering models to have more understandable representations. We are particularly interested in applying our understanding to ensure the alignment of powerful AI systems. Our working style is collaborative and curiosity-driven. About the Role OpenAI is seeking a researcher passionate about understanding deep networks, with a strong background in engineering, quantitative reasoning, and the research process. You will develop and carry out a research plan in mechanistic interpretability, in close collaboration with a highly motivated team. You will play a critical role in helping OpenAI ensure future models remain safe even as they grow in capability. This will make a significant impact on our goal of building and deploying safe AGI. In this role, you will: Develop and publish research on techniques for understanding representations of deep networks. Engineer infrastructure for studying model internals at scale. Collaborate across teams to work on projects that OpenAI is uniquely suited to pursue. Guide research directions toward demonstrable usefulness and/or long-term scalability. You might thrive in this role if you: Are excited about OpenAI’s mission of ensuring AGI benefits all of humanity, and are aligned with OpenAI’s charter . Show enthusiasm for long-term AI safety & alignment, and have thought deeply about technical paths to safe AGI. Bring experience in the field of AI safety & alignment, mechanistic interpretability, or spiritually related disciplines. Hold a Ph.D. or have research experience in computer science, machine learning, or a related field. Thrive in environments involving large-scale AI systems, and are excited to make use of OpenAI’s unique resources in this area. Possess 2+ years of research engineering experience and proficiency in Python or similar languag

Replit is the agentic software creation platform that enables anyone to build applications using natural language. With millions of users worldwide, Replit is democratizing software development by removing traditional barriers to application creation. The AI Studio is the team responsible for designing, building, and operationalizing internal software platforms across every functional department of the company, including People Operations, Customer Support, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Recruiting, and Executive Operations. We treat each internal department as its own product surface, and in truth as its own startup, with its own customers, its own metrics, and its own reasons for existing. We ship custom software, built on Replit’s own platform, to solve operational problems that off-the-shelf SaaS tools cannot serve well at our scale and pace of growth. Position Summary The Member of Technical Staff (AI Builder) is a full-time builder role with substantial autonomy. You will design, architect, and ship AI-powered internal platforms that run the operations of the company across many departments at once. This is not a role for someone who wants a narrow, well-defined lane. It is a role for someone who wants to walk into an ambiguous business problem, understand it well enough to argue about it with the department lead, and then ship the software that fixes it. We are looking for people who genuinely understand the mechanics of a business: how revenue is actually made, why recruiting velocity matters, what makes support scale or break, how finance closes a month, and why each department is critical to whether the company wins or loses. You do not need to have run every function, but you need to respect why each one exists and be able to reason about it like an operator, not just an engineer. Because we treat each department as its own startup, we strongly favor people who have either run their own business or worked on a fast-scaling startup. You know what it feels like
