About Ramp Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books. The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving. We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it. About the Role As a software engineer on the AI Soltuions team, you will co-lead customer engagements with an AI Solutions Strategist . The Strategist owns business discovery, ROI narrative, stakeholder alignment, and rollout planning. The engineer owns technical discovery, solution design, prototyping, implementation, and production readiness. This is a deeply client-facing role. You will spend significant time with customers and end users, moving projects from bootcamp and workflow discovery through implementation, launch, and steady production usage. What You’ll Do Translate customer goals into clear system requirements and non-functional requirements covering security, privacy, reliability, performance, scalability, and cost. Partner directly with customers to understand current workflows, constraints, systems, data quality, and adoption blockers. About the Role Ramp's Dev API team builds the programmatic surfaces that let developers and AI agents read from and write to Ramp. We are an AI-focused platform team making it trivially easy for any engineer at Ramp (or outside it) to ship new capabilities across all surfaces. Our ideal candidate thinks agent-first, has strong opinions on developer experience, and wants to define how software interacts with financial infrastructure at scale. Check out our Engineering Blog for more on our tech stack, mission, and values! What You'll Do Build and operate Ramp's multi-surface platform with a high bar for reliability, correctness, and developer experience across tens of thousands of businesses. Serve thousands of builders and partners using our API, driving a large fraction of Ramp’s revenue, and deliver on a massive business opportunity to embed Ramp everywhere. The Ramp Revenue team is building an AI-native operating system for Go-to-Market teams. We turn fragmented customer context, communication history, and business signals into trusted agents that can identify opportunities, recommend actions, and execute real revenue work. This is a frontend-focused role for an engineer who obsesses over interaction design and complex product workflows, but is just as comfortable shaping the APIs and data contracts behind them. You’ll own the surfaces revenue teams actually use: agent-generated work, account and opportunity intelligence, approvals, workflow configuration, and execution experiences that bring together customer data, AI reasoning, and human judgment. If you want your frontend work to sit at the center of production agent systems—rather than being added after the intelligence and workflow decisions have already been made—this is the role. About the Role Ramp is known for insane product velocity, sitting at the center of AI and finance, and saving customers meaningful amounts of time and money. Increasingly, companies come to us to understand how the best finance teams are actually operating, whether that’s our own team or the customers we serve. Right now, those conversations happen behind closed doors and Zoom windows. We want to pull them out, write them down, and make them useful to more people. We’re hiring a Finance Storytelling Lead to do exactly that. You will spend roughly half your time embedded with Ramp’s Finance team, learning what it means to run an AI-pilled finance team at a company building AI solutions for finance. The other half of your time will support customer storytelling with the finance customer in mind, working closely with Brand Communications, Sales, and Customer Marketing. For both, you’ll pull out the useful lessons and turn them into stories people want to learn from, whether that means writing in your own voice or for our CFO and Finance leadership team
