About the team The AI Deployment Engineering team is responsible for helping developers and enterprises safely and effectively deploy OpenAI technologies in production. We act as trusted technical advisors and thought partners for customers, working side by side with their teams to identify high-value use cases, design practical architectures, and move from prototype to durable deployment. Cybersecurity is one of the most urgent domains where AI can help. Security teams are under pressure to reason across code, logs, infrastructure, tickets, alerts, and vulnerability data faster than ever. As frontier models become more capable, organizations need deep technical guidance on how to evaluate, validate, and safely deploy AI systems in security-critical workflows. About the role We are looking for a Cyber AI Deployment Engineer to partner with customers and help them apply OpenAI models, APIs, Codex, and agentic workflows to real cybersecurity use cases. You will work with CISOs, security executives, application security leaders, SOC teams, security engineering teams, and hands-on practitioners to identify where AI can create measurable security outcomes. This is a customer-facing technical role for someone who can move fluidly between executive strategy, practitioner-level cyber depth, and hands-on solution design. You will help customers evaluate and deploy workflows such as secure code review, vulnerability triage, threat modeling, remediation, SOC and incident response workflows, detection engineering, cloud security, GRC automation, and security validation. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, Engineering, Research, and Security to turn customer needs into safe deployment patterns, reusable field assets, and product feedback. About the Team The Ecosystem AI Deployment Engineering (ADE) team supports strategic partners as they build high-quality technical integrations into ChatGPT and Codex. Our goal is to create products users depend on, drive adoption and retention, and build an ecosystem where partners win when OpenAI wins. About the Role We are looking for an AI Deployment Engineer to help strategic partners design, build, evaluate, submit, launch, and maintain high-utility plugins for ChatGPT and Codex. This is a hands-on, partner-facing product engineering role for someone who can contribute to the platform itself, lead sophisticated partner engagements, and translate ambiguous product needs into production-ready integrations. You will work across partner product and engineering teams and OpenAI's product, engineering, partnerships, legal, policy, design, and go-to-market teams. You will identify the right use cases, prototype and review implementations, run evaluations, debug issues across systems, guide partners through submission and review, and support launch and post-launch iteration. The best person for this role moves fluidly between code, product judgment, project leadership, and clear communication with engineers and executives. This role is a fit for a product minded engineer who wants to stay close to users and partners while still going deep on code, reliability, evaluations, and developer experience. The goal is to help partners ship plugins that are not merely technically functional, but genuinely useful in ChatGPT and Codex. This role is based in our San Francisco office. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Own the technical partner journey for priority B2B plugins—from pitch and readiness assessment through architecture, build, evaluation, submission, launch, and ongoing maintenance. Identify strong plugin use cases, define crisp user journeys and expected behaviors, and

About the Team The Applied AI Engineering team partners closely with customers to help them move from experimentation to production with OpenAI’s technologies. We act as trusted technical advisors, working across customer strategy, architecture, deployment, and adoption to help organizations realize meaningful impact from frontier AI. The Startups segment serves fast-moving, high-growth companies that are often building new products, workflows, and businesses directly on top of AI. These customers move quickly, operate with high ambiguity, and expect practical, creative, and technically rigorous partnership. About the Role We are looking for an Applied AI Engineering Manager, Startups to lead and scale the Startups Applied AI Engineering motion. This team helps high-growth startups move quickly from experimentation to production, unlock meaningful usage, and build durable technical partnerships with OpenAI. About the Team The Finance & Supply Chain Engineering organization includes two complementary teams. Software Engineering builds internal full-stack applications, durable agentic workflows, plugins, MCPs, and measurable AI-enabled engineering practices. Data Engineering builds trusted analytics data assets for Finance and Supply Chain. The teams have distinct charters, with important shared dependencies and broad cross team partnerships across Engineering, Applications, Finance, and Supply Chain. About the Role We are looking for a hands-on senior technical leader who will report alongside the Software Engineering and Data Engineering managers. This is an individual-contributor role with no immediate people-management responsibility. The Tech Lead will raise the technical bar across both teams, participate in important cross-team or high-risk design decisions, and directly own and ship high-impact work. The role should improve team judgment and autonomy rather than act as a floating architect or universal approval gate. In this role, you will: Partner with the Software Engineering and Data Engineering managers as a peer technical leader; managers retain accountability for people, staffing, priorities, performance, and delivery commitments. Directly own the architecture, implementation, launch, and operation of one or more high-impact initiatives, remaining accountable for real outcomes rather than advisory output alone. Guide important design decisions that are cross-team, difficult to reverse, or material to security, financial controls, reliability, data quality, or long-term cost of ownership. Establish pragmatic engineering standards across architecture, APIs and data contracts, testing, security, reliability, observability, lineage, data quality, and operational ownership. Advance engineering standards for building with AI, including agentic workflows, evaluation, telemetry, adoption, and outcome measurement. Work across backend, full-stack, data, and big-d
We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Washington D.C., London and Amsterdam. Team: Plaid is becoming an AI-first company, and Intelligent Tooling builds internal platforms and tools to lead the transformation. Our biggest opportunity isn't just better tools for engineers, it's extending AI-native internal tooling to the rest of Plaid. Tools built for engineers assume things non-engineers don't have: local toolchains, monorepos, engineer credentials, PR-based workflows. That mismatch means Ops, Support, and other teams can't easily inherit what we build for engineering. They need their own path and we're building that path. Role: As a Senior Software Engineer on Intelligent Tooling, you will build and operate internal systems that empower non engineering teams to automate their workflows with AI. You will own the product and platform layer for internal tools, including the constraints and infrastructure that keep those tools safe and maintainable. There's no existing playbook for this at Plaid. You will define what the right non-eng AI surface looks like, ship its first durable versions, and partner closely with internal users to make sure it solves real problems. You will act as the engineering point of contact embedded with non-engineering teams, running discovery and trans
