We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Washington D.C., London and Amsterdam. We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Corporate Finance team. This is the strategic, externally-oriented arm of the team — covering the board process, long range planning, capital structure, SBC and equity modeling, and enterprise-level financial strategy. You will partner closely with the CFO, Leadership, the Board, Corp Dev, and Accounting on the decisions that shape Plaid’s long-term financial trajectory. What excites us: 5+ years of work experience including financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, strategic finance, or management consulting — ideally with tech, SaaS, or fintech exposure. Advanced financial modeling skills, with hands-on experience building long range, scenario/sensitivity, or valuation models. Strong command of consolidated financial statements, key SaaS / fintech operating metrics, and external benchmarking. Excellent communication and storytelling skills — able to move fluidly between granular model detail and an executive-level narrative for senior leaders and the Board. Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and distill complex, ambiguous topics into structured frameworks and clear recommendations. P

What you’ll do Act as the technical lead for large parts of the scanner platform: system architecture, codebase structure, and long-term maintainability. Own core runtime foundations: distributed control, state management, fault handling, and reliability. Drive engineering rigor: testability, code quality, review standards, performance regression prevention, and release processes. Build robust observability: logs, metrics, traces, and replayable diagnostics (with privacy constraints). Collaborate with hardware and recon/ML teams to define interfaces, data contracts, timing/synchronization, and failure modes. Lead complex refactors (e.g., message passing / RPC boundaries, modularization, concurrency model) without halting forward progress. What we’re looking for Deep software architecture experience for real-world systems: robotics, instrumentation, medical devices, or other complex distributed products. Strong Python and concurrency background (asyncio, multiprocessing, profiling, performance engineering). Track record of shipping systems that are observable, debuggable, and resilient. Strong technical leadership: clarity, pragmatic trade-offs, and mentoring. Useful experience Building but rock-solid systems: clear interfaces (gRPC/protobuf or equivalent), strong state modeling, and failure handling. High-leverage engineering habits on a lean team: good tests, CI, reproducible dev environments, and fast code review. Practical performance + concurrency work in Python (asyncio, profiling, multiprocessing) and comfort debugging distributed behavior. Security-minded device software: safe defaults, encrypted data paths, and disciplined handling of PII/PHI. Operational thinking: remote updates/management, excellent logging, and diagnostics that make real hardware debuggable.

About Mixpanel Mixpanel is the leading product intelligence and analytics platform, trusted by more than 29,000 companies to help understand how people use the products they build. By combining powerful analytics with AI that knows your business, Mixpanel helps teams see what’s working, diagnose what’s not, and decide what to build next. Learn more at mixpanel.com . About the Team Internal Analysis is the data team at Mixpanel — the team that turns data from every corner of the business into the decisions that shape our product and our growth. They own the full path: from raw data in source systems, through a governed warehouse, to the models, metrics, and insights leaders across the company act on. It's two complementary disciplines under one roof. Our Analytics Engineers own the data end to end — ingesting from source systems, modeling through a medallion architecture on BigQuery, and producing the trusted tables and reporting artifacts the rest of the company runs on. Our Data Scientists build on that foundation, partnering with Product to refine the user experience and with GTM to sharpen how we grow — inspecting signals, running experiments, and surfacing the insights that change what we do next. As we grow the data organization's remit across the company, this role has the scope to establish practices that don't yet exist, KPI ownership, cross-functional operating rhythms, a shared standard for what 'data-driven' means here, and where AI belongs in both how the team works and what the platform delivers.
