About the Team The Codex Web Layer team provides the web-based systems and user experiences for Codex across the entire stack, from the Electron-like application framework that powers the application, to the user-facing in-app browser. About the Role In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing infrastructure and features end-to-end for the Codex desktop client application. You will help define what it means to be a hybrid agentic/interactive web browser. The team embodies “full stack” development from the lowest-level OS integration to the highest-level interaction design. This role is based in San Francisco. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role you will: Partner closely with product and design to conceive, design, and build features for Codex web browsing features on macOS and Windows. This role will focus mostly on the backend C++ layer and Chromium, but many features cross the full stack including some TypeScript. Partner with the wider Codex team to deliver a high-performance, stable, and secure application platform for client development. This includes API design and implementation (mostly in C++) and the infrastructure that supports deploying it (in Python, TypeScript, and agentic skills). Work with a small, experienced team of engineers on this critical and rapidly growing product. You might thrive in this role if you: Have significant experience building technically complex features end-to-end. Are a strong C++ developer, especially with experience in browser environments like Chromium and Electron. Since this role is more backend focused, general knowledge of web development and TypeScript is helpful but not required. Thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Communicate clearly and concisely across many different roles in the organization. Are self-directed, identifying important work and executing it end-to-end. About OpenAI OpenAI is an AI

About the Team The Monetization team is a new cross-functional group working across engineering, product, research, and design to build the foundational systems that will help OpenAI scale access to intelligence responsibly. Our mission is to develop user-first, privacy-preserving monetization products, including next-generation ads experiences, that strengthen user trust, unlock economic opportunity, and support OpenAI’s long-term innovation. Monetization plays a critical role in enabling OpenAI to continue pushing the boundaries of AI capabilities while ensuring the benefits of AGI are broadly shared. We believe monetization must be aligned with user value, uphold rigorous privacy and safety standards, and sustain a healthy ecosystem of developers, advertisers, and businesses. This team operates in a greenfield environment and moves quickly through prototyping, experimentation, and iterative deployment. We partner closely with Product, Design, Research, and external customers to bring new monetization products into real-world systems at global scale. About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Software Engineer to help build Ads Manager, the UI platform advertisers use to create, manage, measure, and optimize ad campaigns across OpenAI’s ads ecosystem. This is a foundational role responsible for designing and implementing advertiser-facing products, APIs, tools, and services that connect external customers to OpenAI’s next-generation monetization products. You’ll work across the full technical stack to build intuitive self-serve workflows for small and mid-sized advertisers, as well as scalable APIs and integrations for large enterprise advertisers, agencies, and ad-tech partners who manage campaigns through their own buying platforms or intermediary systems. This includes building advertiser-facing APIs and tooling for campaign management, conversion APIs, pixels, measurement, and insights. You will collaborate deeply with Product, Design, Research, and Go-To

About the Team: GTM Innovation is a product engineering team with a charter to automate 100% of digital knowledge work in OpenAI's GTM, so sellers spend more time directly with customers. AGI-level reasoning doesn’t mean organization-level transformation “just works” out of the box; orgs must be redesigned around abundant intelligence and persistent virtual coworkers. Our team builds and scales a fleet of virtual coworkers that operate as full-time members of the account team, and redefines how our human-first revenue organization interacts with their agentic teammates. About the Role We’re looking for product mindset software engineers to join the GTM Innovation team. As a product engineer on this team, you’ll help OpenAI meet the world at scale. You’ll partner closely with go-to-market teams to understand their workflows, identify leverage points, and ship novel solutions using OpenAI’s API platform. About the Role The Engineering Acceleration team builds and operates the foundational systems that engineers use to build, test, and ship ChatGPT, the API, and OpenAI's infrastructure. We are looking for an engineer to help evolve OpenAI's build and continuous integration systems for a fast-growing engineering organization. This role sits at the intersection of developer productivity, build systems, distributed infrastructure, and software quality. You will work on the systems that determine how quickly and confidently engineers can move: Bazel-based builds, Buildkite pipelines, test selection, remote caching and execution, CI observability, and tooling that helps engineers understand and fix failures quickly. Our mission is to make OpenAI one of the most productive engineering organizations in the world while preserving a high bar for correctness, reliability, and safety. The best version of this work is invisible when it succeeds: builds are fast, tests are trusted, CI failures are understandable, and engineers can focus on shipping useful systems instead of fighting infrastructure. In This Role, You Will Own and evolve Bazel-based build and test workflows across a large, polyglot monorepo. Design and maintain Starlark rules, macros, toolchains, and integrations that make builds reproducible, hermetic, and easy for product teams to adopt. Improve CI performance and reliability across Buildkite pipelines, including queue time, build time, cache hit rates, test sharding, retry behavior, and flake isolation. Build systems that reduce unnecessary CI work through affected-target detection, dependency graph analysis, test selection, caching, batching, and smarter scheduling. Improve local development workflows so engineers can reproduce CI behavior, debug build failures, and iterate quickly without learning every detail of the build stack. Operate and optimize build infrastructure across Docker/OCI images, Kubernetes-based runners, cloud resources, and remote cache/exec
