What you’ll do Own day-to-day operations for the scanner program and scanner builds in the spa: purchasing/procurement, vendor management, receiving, inventory, and logistics. Stand up lightweight production operations as we move from prototypes to repeatable builds: build planning, kitting, work instructions, and readiness checklists. Partner with Quality to ensure the operational system supports compliance: traceability, document control, training records, NCR/CAPA workflows, and audit readiness. Drive cross-functional execution for the physical spa build-out and scanner integration: schedules, dependencies, risk register, and weekly coordination with vendors and internal teams. Own the “integration glue” across facilities + device ops: commissioning plans, acceptance criteria, and operational handoff (runbooks, maintenance, spares, escalation paths). Build and track operational metrics: cost, budget, lead times, vendor performance, build throughput, and reliability of critical subsystems. Audit of import/export documentation, management of contract renewals, regulatory compliance. What we’re looking for Proven operations leadership in hardware/medical/robotics (or similarly complex electromechanical products), including procurement and vendor management. Strong program management instincts: can run schedules, unblock cross-functional dependencies, and keep priorities clear under ambiguity. Comfort operating in quality/regulatory environments and building processes that are rigorous without slowing a small team. High ownership and bias to action: can jump between spreadsheets, docks, and the lab/site to keep the program moving. Useful experience Experience running prototype-to-production transitions (NPI, EVT/DVT/PVT-style builds, CM/EMS collaboration). Facilities / construction operations experience (GC coordination, MEP commissioning, site readiness). Familiarity with inventory systems and procurement tooling (even “simple but disciplined”).
About the Team OpenAI Finance ensures the organization is positioned for long-term success as we pursue our mission. The Order to Cash (OTC) team oversees the complete flow of commercial transactions from order intake and provisioning through billing, collections, and cash application — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence in support of OpenAI’s mission to ensure artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. About the Role We are looking for a senior, hands-on operator to own Order Management and Billing execution across OpenAI’s cloud marketplace and partner ecosystem, including platforms such as AWS, GCP, Oracle Cloud, GovCloud, and future channels. About the Team OpenAI is scaling from an emerging, high-velocity startup into a mature enterprise operating model. The IT Software Architect will help shape the software, SaaS, Data integration, and agent-enabled architecture that lets the company move quickly while improving security, compliance, data quality, and customer, partner, and employee experience. This role is not a traditional ivory-tower architecture function. It is a hands-on governance and enablement role that partners with business teams, IT operations, Security, Procurement, Business Platforms, Applied teams and Data Engineering to guide software decisions, reduce unmanaged sprawl, and build reusable enterprise foundations. Why This Role Matters OpenAI’s software footprint is expanding rapidly across SaaS, internally built tools, agents, integrations, APIs, third-party platforms, and application systems that OpenAI. The company needs a stronger tools architecture layer that can help teams make good decisions early, avoid duplicate tools, govern sensitive data and identities, and identify where OpenAI should build instead of buy. The person in this role will help turn software governance from an approval checkpoint into an enterprise capability: a system that improves speed, reliability, security, and business outcomes. What You'll Do Own the target architecture for enterprise software, SaaS, integrations, APIs, and agent-enabled business systems across Corporate IT. Drive deprecation and consolidate targets for enterprise software. Build lightweight governance patterns that guide teams before
About the Team The Core Models team helps shape how OpenAI’s frontier models are built, measured, and launched. We work across Research, Engineering, Model Design, Data Science, and Product to turn advances in model capabilities into reliable, useful experiences for people. Our scope includes model planning and launches as well as building data flywheels, evaluations and measurement systems to ensure our models have strong capabilities and behavior. About the Role As a Product Manager for the Core Models team, you'll be at the forefront of defining and guiding the future of how our AI models work in real-world applications. You will connect user needs to model and systems decisions: how prompts are understood; how information is aggregated and made useful for training and evaluation data; and how capabilities move from research prototypes into the mainline model and launch stack. You will operate comfortably across research, infrastructure, and consumer product surfaces, creating clarity where ownership and technical boundaries are still emerging. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Translate user and product goals into clear model requirements, system architecture choices, and research priorities across query understanding, indexing, retrieval, ranking, tool boundaries, data, training, inference, and evaluation. Build closed learning loops that turn product usage, explicit feedback, and other user signals into datasets, evaluations, experiments, training priorities, and launch decisions. Define success across offline evaluations and online product metrics, balancing model quality, usefulness, latency, safety, reliability, and cost. Partner closely with post-training research, applied product engineering, Model Design, and Data Science to integrate capabilities into the mainline model stack. About the Team The Finance & Supply Chain Engineering organization includes two complementary teams. Software Engineering builds internal full-stack applications, durable agentic workflows, plugins, MCPs, and measurable AI-enabled engineering practices. Data Engineering builds trusted analytics data assets for Finance and Supply Chain. The teams have distinct charters, with important shared dependencies and broad cross team partnerships across Engineering, Applications, Finance, and Supply Chain. About the Role We are looking for a hands-on senior technical leader who will report alongside the Software Engineering and Data Engineering managers. This is an individual-contributor role with no immediate people-management responsibility. The Tech Lead will raise the technical bar across both teams, participate in important cross-team or high-risk design decisions, and directly own and ship high-impact work. The role should improve team judgment and autonomy rather than act as a floating architect or universal approval gate. In this role, you will: Partner with the Software Engineering and Data Engineering managers as a peer technical leader; managers retain accountability for people, staffing, priorities, performance, and delivery commitments. Directly own the architecture, implementation, launch, and operation of one or more high-impact initiatives, remaining accountable for real outcomes rather than advisory output alone. Guide important design decisions that are cross-team, difficult to reverse, or material to security, financial controls, reliability, data quality, or long-term cost of ownership. Establish pragmatic engineering standards across architecture, APIs and data contracts, testing, security, reliability, observability, lineage, data quality, and operational ownership. Advance engineering standards for building with AI, including agentic workflows, evaluation, telemetry, adoption, and outcome measurement. Work across backend, full-stack, data, and big-d
