THE ROLE Baseten is seeking talented and experienced Software Engineers to join our Platform team within the Infrastructure organization. As an early member of Baseten's Platform Team, you will be pivotal in building internal infrastructure to support our engineering organization. You will own the deployment platform, release pipelines, and rollout safety mechanisms that allow engineers across Baseten to deploy changes rapidly while minimizing operational risk. Our mission is to make production deployments fast, safe, and increasingly autonomous. If you are passionate about elegant solutions—like streamlined monorepos, lightning-fast CI pipelines, and thoughtfully designed shared libraries—you'll thrive at Baseten. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to to ship AI products. We are looking for an engineer with strong experience in machine learning and solid foundations in maths and computer science to join our growing Post-Training team at Baseten. Custom models are instrumental to the success of Baseten customers. By inference volume, the overwhelming majority of traffic at Baseten is to and from models that have been post-trained in some way, whether that be through reinforcement learning, supervised finetuning, a recent technique from the literature, or an in-house research technique from Baseten. The Post-Training team is responsible for the success of our customers’ post-trained models, and we employ a wide array of techniques to produce models that are more efficient and higher quality than even the biggest closed source models for the customer’s specific needs. Your role as a research engineer is to build the in-house tooling to support all of this. We care about training a wide spectrum of different model architectures with a variety of techniques efficiently and at scale. At times this involves zooming deep into a particular technical topic, but more often if involves working across the stack as a whole - systems-level concepts like Kubernetes, cgroups, storage systems, and networking topologies, as well as PyTorch distributed tensor computation, and GPU kernels. This is a foundational, high-ownership role for someone who wants to define how a company runs procurement, not inherit an existing process. As the company scales across engineering, GTM, and corporate functions, we need to build purchasing workflows and vendor relationships. This is a rare, critical-moment hire: you'll set the leading-practice processes, systems, and policies that the company runs on as it continues to grow, with the mandate and dedicated focus to build something built to scale. This role exists to make procurement a source of leverage for the business, not friction. Your goal is to build scalable process, take on vendor management and RFP work that today sits informally with individual teams, and free up business owners' time and capacity, all while building the guardrails the company needs as it grows. You'll partner closely with Finance, Legal, Security, Compliance, IT, and business owners across the company, and you'll be judged on whether teams feel supported and unblocked, not slowed down. RESPONSIBILITIES Procurement Strategy and Process Design and implement Baseten's first company-wide procurement process, approval routing, and other workflows Establish procurement policies (spend thresholds, approval authority, competitive bidding requirements) tailored to a high-growth business Design pr

Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to to ship AI products. Product at Baseten Product at Baseten is a nascent function. Our company today has a strong engineering culture, is heavily customer-obsessed, and moves fast. We're building the product function now, and you'd be one of the people who defines it. You'll work directly with our founders and with some of the best systems and AI engineers and you'll set the standard for what product looks like here. PMs at Baseten don't sit above engineers - you earn ownership by being technical, finding the truth in front of customers, building great cross-functional relationships, and just shipping great product experiences. The role Once a model is deployed, keeping it fast, reliable, and economical at scale is where production inference is won or lost. You'll own the surface that makes that happen: how deployments autoscale, how traffic is routed, how the system fails over, and how workloads scale across clusters and regions. You'll own these as products end to end - both how they work under the hood and how customers configure and observe them - and you'll help set and define the roadmap that infrastructure and product teams alike can build towards. This space is largely still evolving - think Cloud Infrastructure in mid-2000s. Your job is to make it 10x easier to reliably scale and serve AI models in production and set the market standard. Impact and outcomes you'll drive You will own how workloads scale and where they land — autosca

THE ROLE At Baseten, we’re looking for a Technical Program Manager to drive our most complex, cross-cutting infrastructure programs. This role will operate across all domains of AI infrastructure, from the GPUs up to the multi-cluster orchestration layer. This is an execution-first role. The work is less about owning a single system and more about imposing order on ambiguity: standing up the right structures, driving decisions to closure, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks across dozens of stakeholders. If you take satisfaction in turning a chaotic, half-defined initiative into a predictable, well-governed program, this role is for you. RESPONSIBILITIES Own complex migrations end to end. Lead large-scale infrastructure migrations across teams and domains. This will involve scoping the work, sequencing dependencies, managing risk, and driving them to completion without surprises. Drive process across infrastructure. Establish and run the operating rhythms that keep programs healthy: planning cadences, status reporting, decision logs, risk reviews, and escalation paths. Make the process light enough that teams adopt it and rigorous enough that it actually works. Help managers build the right structures. Partner with engineering managers and leads to design the team structures, ownership boundaries, and working models a program needs to succeed. Job Summary: The Staff Software Engineer, Monetization Platform serves as a technical leader with a primary focus on the systems that turn product usage, subscriptions, credits, commitments, and contracts into accurate customer outcomes and clean financial operations. This person will architect and evolve the core billing domain for Drata: usage event ingestion, billable metrics, pricing and packaging, invoice generation, entitlement enforcement, and the integrations that connect engineering to Accounting, Finance, RevOps, Salesforce, CPQ, and ERP systems like NetSuite. They should be equally comfortable designing event-driven systems, shaping commercial flexibility with business stakeholders, and building operationally trustworthy software where correctness, audit-ability, and scale matter.
